Whiskey Woods

It’s a very unique place unlike you get in a other cottages in India, however the only reason I gave 3 stars is due to the fact that “it’s not kids friendly due to cottages located on a mini hill where kids can hurt themselves badly and no easy play area in front of the cottage except for the rocks” and “not a friendly road from main road, almost 700mts of very tough terrain from main road which makes it very hard for self drive”

Awesome stay and superb cottage, will definitely visit once again and one of the best stay recommended to stay in coorg. Care taker samrudh took care of us really well.

It's a great place to stay with family and yes it's pet friendly. Sachin was quite cooperative and even care taker -Samrudh was good. I like the place coz it's away from all the city hustle and one Can experience the tranquility of nature. Yes for food one needs to procure from outside as there is no gas setup. Just basic kitchen utensils are there.

If you are ever in Madikeri, I really recommend the Whiskey Woods cottage. You are sleeping in the middle of the coffee plantation and next to a little stream. It’s a unique place with an amazing view on the plantation. The cottage is super cozy and very clean. The caretaker provided delicious food. Go and have a look!

We stayed in the month of Feb for my mom’s 60th bday. It was one perfect stay. Pictures don’t do justice to this place. Room were clean and the sound of water stream and birds chirping added smoothness to our stay. Sachin was a nice host and he was telling about his new A cottage adjacent to the present one. It will be even more an interesting stay with all the upgradation. My mom found it little difficult to traverse the path to reach the cottage but she managed it well. She managed to hop in jeep and travel a 1 min journey to the Main road as well. These are the two points to be noted. Reception of phone service is okayish but it’s understandable. Bharath was our caretaker. He was such a nice lad and made our stay better. He was available always at the plantation hence he addressed our needs quickly and swiftly. Campfire is on additional charges and Bharath got us a cake on request. We had a wonderful 3 days at Coorg

I booked this property for my family of 4 members. The host Sachin beautifully arranged the stay for them. All being senior citizens I was a little concerned. Sachin was kind enough to answer all my queries. My family loved the stay and thoroughly enjoyed their vacation. Waking up to the view and water stream near the property made them the happiest. They also highly appreciated the manali beach as suggested by Sachin. Special mention to care-taker Bharat for accomodating all requests.
After hearing from our family my husband and me also look forward to visit anytime soon.

One of the best resort I've visited till now. Sachin is really friendly. Care taker Bharath is really helpful, friendly and knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped with all the basics needs. The view from the balcony was amazing. The way to resort was much like adventures. Early morning you hear the unique birds chirping and get to see unique insects. The scenery was beautiful in middle of the woods.

Best place to spend the vacation.
In middle of the plantation, the ambience is tailor-made for nature lovers. The sound of the water stream gives the tranquil feel.

"Whiskey woods" - whoa whoa whoa! What a place at the mid of coffee plantation. The off roading way to the cottage was so adventurous. Dint expect these kinda place and spot. That was mind blowing. We were there for 3 days with 8 members of guys. We enjoyed a lot with the nature at late evening and also at early morning. The sound of birds, insects and water flow was like "Andha Satham". Sachin brother and his father was so kind and their homemade breakfast (Neer dosa) was awesome️. It was such an amazing stay one could ever opt for, which is in the midst of greenary and also one could hear birds chirping. Nature lovers will fall in love with the place. Camp fire was just. Thank you Sachin for the hospitality during our visit. Must visit stay.

Best Ambience ever experienced in hill stations. Nice environment and best part is totally Cool Owner. Best place to vibe Nature.

The stay is set in a beautiful green setting, very calm and away from noise. Mr. Sajjan BK was very friendly and helped us throughout the stay. We are really grateful for them to allow us for an early check-in and late check-out for a small amount. Despite we going in summer the place was really cool with good amenities in the room.

Even the path that leads you to the homestay is all kinds of feels. Hosts were gracious and welcoming. The room we stayed in was well-kept, and had all the facilities needed to spend a relaxing time.

Overall it was a nice experience at Whiskey woods and would love to be back here again.

Don’t miss the camp fire

If you are planning for an getaway to relax n reboot this is the exact place you need to look for. Everything in the cabin is placed thoughtfully so that you have anything you could need without any clutter. The decor is just perfect.it's so airy and open while still feeling warm and cozy.
If you are interested in improving your knowledge about plants, Sachin will guide you through his estate. Also you could do fishing at his pond.

This homestay will literally take you "Back to Woods". This place is away from all the noise of the city and the property faces the lush green with coffee plantation & areca tree's. With the silence you can hear all the birds chirping and noise of variety insect's, that calm us down completely. Also, the sound of the wind and rain, all that we could hear. If you are a nature lover, this the place for you. Even I saw a very clear rainbow since it was drizzling. It was a pleasant weekend. The walk in the coffee plantation was amazing. Food & service was great and also thank you for the hospitality during my visit. Overall I'm fully satisfied. Sure to visit soon with my family, they gonna love it. Since this stay is above the rock, I call it "On The Rock".

This is very nice and serene location inside the forest. Very nice resort to stay in the calm environment. Feeling closer to the nature and there are lot of greeneries around.
During the way you can see so many coffee plantation. Awesome place with awesome natural beauty. Very nice people. Extremely friendly staff. This was a place far beyond our expectations and we enjoyed a lot. Got the best room to experience the place which made it more worthwhile

The soothing music of natural river water flowing and mouth watering food. My stay for 3 days was very pleasant. The staff is friendly and polite. It was a wonderful place to stay if visiting Coorg.

What an amazing place! Completely surrounded by nature, so much greenery. Beautiful house with completely glass front perched on a huge rock. Fell in love with the place.

Place has built around lots of trees and forest kind of area with first class amenities.
What makes this place so unique is wasting food is not allowed here, they will charge you for wastage also they really trying to connect you for many environmental friendly activities.

Good location. Nature lover's will just fall in love with this Place, The cottage is very well maintained with all the basic amenities taken care of. The hosts are extremely welcoming and the food was lovely too
