I have been to this place twice 5 years back and now. I can see a lot of difference. Its really worst experience and encountered lot of issues with this stay. Look's like management got lot of EGO and they don't care for anything.
1. Rooms are full of dirty, beds are infected with fungus and bed bugs.
2. Don't get surprised if u see Scorpio or small snakes' in the tent stay.
3. Management is so rude and staff and customers.
4. If you are traveling with family and kids please think twice. Its not safe.
5. Lot of drinking, smoking, heavy sound noise near dining area
6. Not a worthy stay for the weekend.
7. Only positive is nice location, but these people have spoiled the resort.
8. Very rude staff.
9. Breakfast after 10 am, lunch 2: 00 pm and dinner 9: 30
I saw most of the customers fighting with the management over hygiene, room's and food. But Prasanna was rude on all. Like i don't care.

This resort is doesn't having any safe precautions and foods quality poor, service evrything is not good for enjoying.don't visit this resort.

Overall it's waste of money. Hopeless staff they will enter the room with out our permission. Service is useless. We stayed for three days there is no hot water facility and they haven't changed the bed sheets. They don't even bother if we inform them. Don't buy any thing with them they will charge double. Totally it's a loss for us.

Location is good but not the resort. They have 0% care for the cleanliness. No quick response from anyone over there.
It was an average experience.

The worst resort i ever seen…the food u get is all like cockroach manchurian insects salads and 0% clean. Please don't spend a money or time over there.

We had a most wonderful restful holiday at the resort. The staff were amazing. Our special thanks to Chef who went out of his way to make us exclusive special most delicious meals.

There is a small but ebullient waterfalls about 800mtrs from wild wagtail resort. Come out of the gate and walk South about 600mtrs. Look carefully for a narrow trail up the hillock on the right and climb abt 200 to 250 mtrs. The fairly steep and slightly slippery trail leads to some rocks over which the water jumps down. If you climb the last 10mtrs or so, you can bathe under the falls.
Nothing magnificent, but I felt days are bright. Of course, I am partial to the small ones tucked away in the midst of nature.

Don’t get fooled by seeing pictures on website…but this resort doesn’t worth for 2.5k they charge per person.we ordered 3kg nati chicken instead of their regular boiler chicken and it’s charged on us for chicken which was agreed.but they bought a single which weighs 3.5kg (it suppose to be 2 of 1.5 to 2kg each) which was aged n not even cooked properly.but the worst part came to our surprise while we checkout…they charge cooking price of 1300/kg which is Rs. 4500 cooking charges for Rs. 1000 worth chicken which they never told us before till we checkout.we ordered our own chicken which saved their food consumption and paid additional 4.5k just for cooking charges! ……Additionally the water in room was dirty and even in outside pool (it’s not pool at all) also…mud volleyball doesn’t have mud but thr are many sharp stones inside it…kayaking boats doesn’t float except one blue colour boat & they are just for show…. Thr is no jeep/vehicle with them and trekking and waterfall visits were only by walk from resort…some rooms doesn’t have attached toilet n we had to use common bath outside which are stinking…. Only best part was hot water available 24hrs.for family it’s not at all suitable but I doesn’t even recommend this for bachelors also…. But if u are really adventurous for unpleasant surprises then u can try once

Nice to Stay in tent for 1 or 2 days. Can do trekking, visit falls, Adventure games in resort and in very low budget we can stay over there.

Rooms are not so great. Tents are not maintained cleanliness. Friendly service. Nice taste of food. Nice location and amenities. Nice adventure sports.

The place is not suitable for family and girls stay. Don't judge on the photographs from this website, there's no neatness, no power, no room service, water leakage in rooms, bad food quality, no indoor games. People are drinking and smoking openly in the common dinning area. I never recommend this place to anyone for stay. Horribly organised full waste of money and time

Since we stayed in tents, i can't comment about rooms. But they sure appeared comfortable. The real surprise was the food. I had an amazing experience with all the meals served there. The best kesari bath and coconut chutney I've tasted. It was so nice to have a 24 hour bon fire as it was real cold and damp. Beware of leeches. And blanket worms when staying in tents. Oh and yes the sound of crickets throughout the day. It can be overpowering for some.

I am very delighted with the service and stay. This is the place worth the price you pay. My stay experience was awesome. The staff was so co-operative and quick for any thing you need. No regrets at all. The place is located on the mountain plains and the scenic beauty is great. Water games are very safe with the back waters. They also have a private waterfalls to relish. Place to must visit.

The restrooms were a bit untidy but apart from that everything was great. The tents, the service, the activities, the scenery all were amazing.

Wagtail resorts, an awesome place to visit with family and friends as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay out there, had a warm welcome by the staff, environment was so cool, service was really good, tasty and variety food was served time to time, all the indoor games, water games, visit to nearby water falls and trekking was really enjoyable. Staying at nature friendly tents was another wonderful experience. Ultimately it's all about to say had a heavenly feeling staying at Wagtail resorts. Special mention to Dilip Kariyappa for making all these to happen, Thank you so much sir.

Excellent stay, mostly had the entire place to ourselves. Lot of great outdoor activities to keep you occupied.

Stationed at remote place cutting off from urban space, this place is good. Has decent amenities. Highlight of this place is river facing tents which beds 4 persons. A zip line which drops into river. A natural water rapid of the river. Hanging nets over river n another one hanging around 30 to 40 feet. Trampoline for kids. Badminton court, basket ball ring, muddy volleyball court. More than 4 individual places for firecamp. Few indoor games adds to the tally. Very good food to munch. To top it all awesome rains. Choose by water falls, one has to treck to see this natural beauty. Not to forget in mentioning the staff, they are very kind n helpful in whatever request u post. Overall a complete package for both family and friends getaway.

A great resort in the midst of the Western Ghats. There are several activities which can be done here. The food is also very tasty and the staff are also very helpful. A great weekends getaway place with friends. Wouldn't recommend for family though

Wild Wagtail adventure Resort is one of the best and budget friendly place. Tarrif start from 1800rs per person (negotiable for large group).
Place is located in a lush greenery forest. Around 25 kms from Sakleshpur town (famous for coffee plantation) of Hassan district, Karnataka state.

This resort has few water activities like zip line, kayaking, mud volleyball and other.
Staff will frequently check your likes and dislikes about stay and food. You can suggest them to prepare food as per your likes.
You can visit a beautiful waterfalls which is just 10 min walk from resort and trek to near by mountain (1 hr to 2.5hrs).

We were 8 group friends stayed here for a day and enjoyed a lot. River side tent stay was amazing.
Only lacking is cleanliness. It could be better maintained. But still overall good experience. Recommended for group of friends.

Not recommended at all. This is not a resort according to me & my team. I had been to many resorts & we regularly goes to off-site. Let me explain you each & everything regarding this so called resort.

We went there in group of 39 pax and it was company off-site. We had been der for 2days & 1night

About property:
We asked for rooms and tent stay for 3&4 sharing. They gave us one room of 5sharing 2nd room of 6sharing and tents with 5sharing. Rooms & tents were not dat great. 2 rooms are having attached bathrooms and 4 common bathrooms.
Most of the time during our stay there was no electricity (later we came to know dat to save electricity dey were keeping main switch off)

Food:
1st day lunch was not dat great. Puri sagu, one more sabji, rice, gulab jamun, papad, gobi manchurian wid lots of sauce, curd
Dinner: chapati, 2 sabji, 2 varieties of rice, butter milk
2nd day breakfast was good which included idly vada, pulav
2nd day lunch: it was not part of regular tariff so we paid INR250/plate and we got Puri size phulka one jamun per person, 2 sabji, rice, buttermilk
You don't get cold drinks in this so called resort & also der is no nearby shop so u have to take it from nearest town.

Activities:
As per quote we received, rope activities, water activities, rifle shooting, archery
But in actual out of above only one water activity was der, zip line. Apart from this no water activities were wer. Rain dance was provided but d floor was completely damaged. Rifle shooting and archery was not der.
When we asked about missing activities den person started speaking rudely and he told all the activities are complementary only.

Surrounding area:
We went for 2 trekking. One was small trek to water falls which was OK. 2nd trek was 5km trek which was superb and only this trek was what we enjoyed in d trip.

Nice and pleasant place to stay. Very polite staff and service is good. There is a lake in the resort where peddle boating is available. Plenty of activities for all age group people.

We had a wonderful experience. I think its the best place to spend a day or two with your family and friends. The food and the accomodation is perfect and i am sure Its worth every penny that you spend on this resort. The best part is that it is located completely in the middle of the estate where the atmosphere suits everyone perfectly.

It's very good location to enjoy your holiday with friends and family. Very good spots for trekking, management people are very kind friendly. Felling to keep visit once in a while.

It was an excellent experience that I had in my whole life in this place. It was surrounded by full of green.that makes my mind free.and the staff are ossam.guys. Please make vacation plans for wild wagtail. And make markable holidays in entire life.

Worst and unworthy resort. The dormitory given to us was pathetic, without basic amenities. No place to keep our luggages properly. Bedsheets and blankets were old and in bad condition. Bathrooms were unhygienic. The rooms dint even had floor mat. Its was a 12 members dorm and with lots of adjustment we could get hot water to bathe for 4 people only. If we ask more, they ask us to wait but u wouldnt get. Food was worst and always late. We had been with kids and they suffered a lot. No one cares about what you need. Wouldnt recommend for a family and specially with kids.

Super stay. One of the good places close to Sakleshpur. They have cottages and tents to stay over the night. Service has been excellent so far, the team is always responsive for any needs or request. Stay is good! Costs almost 1.8k per head per night (that's a little high). It can fluctuate during seasons. Food has been excellent here too, they have buffet system and BYOB. Price is inclusive of a lunch, a dinner and next day breakfast.

Nice place to hangout with friends and colleagues. Best part is trekking, to see sunrise and sun set.

Hygienic is pathetic. Amenities is not good. Poor quality of service. The rooms are not good. Please do not visit.

Perfect place to camp. Good food. Completely in woods. Courts to play badminton, basketball and water volleyball. But no signal reception and charging ports

Games are good but rest everything is very poor. Guess they don't wash the blankets and pillows frequently, food is worst, no hot water facility, very less staff and the response by the staff is too bad, this place is not suitable for family. Had very bad experience here.

The perfect getaway place in the heart of Sakleshpur admist the mountains. Perfect view of the mother nature and to rejunevate one self.

We went there for a weekend trip. The package included breakfast, lunch, dinner and stay. The food, in general, was okay. The tents were good too, but could have been maintained in a better way. The toilets weren't hygienic. The campfire environment wasn't very good, with drunk people dancing with drinks all around. However, the view from the mountains were amazing.

Booked this place imagining lot of things to enjoy but unfortunately the place was filled with water as confirmed by the officials but we had payed the amount for the stay it’s been 3 months till now they have not refunded the money back. Guys request you to not go to this place and don’t ever give money first don’t believe them.

I would select zero star if it was there. The staff were highly ignorant. The food was tasteless and the staff refused to cook something else even if we offered to pay extra. The tents were probably not cleaned from the time they were bought. Though we were excited about the beauty of the place, the sight of the untidy rooms, under maintained property and unfriendly staff was
a huge disappoint. Look for a better option people!

It doesn't deserve any rating first of all. This is too much inside from city There is no activity in the resort, food quality is worst and they will charge 200 just for idly vada or any breakfast. And the stay is not at all good no maintenance. Importantly this resort is not at all safe for girls. And it is too expensive.

A good place to visit with your friends over a weekend. It comes in budget and staff's were good and approachable. Pleased with the amenities.

Good place away from all your busy city life, also means no cellular network cover. Calm, cool place. Pond side tents best to party with friends. Rooms good for family

Good place food is also good, but rooms & toilet should be maintained well scarcity in hot water facility.
