If your a vegetarian and you want variety and quality in your food, then this is the reastaurnat for them.

One of the best veg restaurants in Udupi and it's very close to Krishna Temple. I love their Palak Paneer and Roti combination.

All the items are the same quality as it was years ago.no change in the taste (In a really good manner)
I used to have bread masala from this place each time I used to come to Udupi.and today when I had it once again.nostalgia couldn't hit any harder!

I recently visited this place with my family and had an enjoyable dining experience. Here are some specific observations:

- Mini-idly dipped in sambar was absolutely delightful and tasty
- Masala Dosa and Bun were delicious and definitely worth ordering.
- Leafy Idle is satisfactory
- Service was a bit slow

The whole ambience of the hotel is very weird, very dimly lit as it is in the underground, felt very dusty and not so clean. The food was average.

One of the best vegetarian cuisine experience of my life. There is no introduction needed for Udupi's authentic vegetarian food and you MUST experience it from Woodlands if you are in Udupi. 100 marks for everything.

I loved this place amazing curd vadas and the ghee dosas were great. 100/10 TBH

I had a great experience. Quite against some of the review given, i didnt find anything wronh with the behavior of staff. The food is excellent and the cost is reasonable. I was on my way back from mookambika to sree krishna temple and i took lunch at the hotel. Overall it was a nice experience. Iam sure to visit next time.

Good place for pure vegetarian food.
It's near to Krishna math in Udupi.
After entering need to take token for seating. Though it is crowded, Not much of waiting time required.

Its a nice family restaurant. Food tastes, service and ambiance are very good. Sometimes the place gets crowded and you need to wait for a table.
The staff is quite humble and polite.
We ordered quite a few things and a few I recommend are Mughlai dum biryani, panner kurkure, French onion soup, and mini Gudbud.

Very tasty south indian breakfast with antique atmosphere here.batata bonda.dosa items Puri, shira.great taste.

Food is very good but the bald headed staff is very rude. Good places spoil due to such people.

One of the best veg restaurant in the heart of Udupi, where you can enjoy your food happily, Personally I felt very happy with the service and the quality of food delivers here, Price is decent as compared to service and quality/taste of food.

I will prefer everyone to visit this restaurant and to taste the dishes here.

Nice ambient, best service, tasty food both North or local, in time serve, hygienic clean sittings, not costly.

AVOID. I have been visiting this place for 25 years, clearly success has gotten into their head. Last week I went there for lunch with my Mum and Aunt both senior citizens. I reached first and sat at a table, Mum and Aunt took about 10 minutes more to walk from Car street. Both the manager and the owner came to me and shouted that one cannot wait in this restaurant. I was ready to order food too but they were not ok that 2 people will join in less than 10 minutes. The tone was so disrespectful, zero courtesy, no etiquette, they do not know how to talk to women or customers in general. Left an ugly taste, will never visit this place again.

Good dine in option around Udupi. Crowded in the afternoon, but worth a wait to sit back and enjoy the food.

Nice and good service. Variety of food options is lavish and widely spread.

However most of the menu items have timings eg sandwich after 9.30am so on and so forth.

In the mornings when you go between 8.30 to 9.30am you get limited items

Good food, our standard hangout place whenever we visit Udupi.
Reason - good tasty food served hot, well mannered staff and quick service. Their Benne Masale dose and Bread masala are really good choices. Food portions are also decent.

It's always a great experience having dinner here with family nice ambiance, good service, tasty food

The best restaurant in UDUPI for vegetarians. Ambience food and service is excellent. It's very near to the temple. Little on expensive side though, but it compensates with the taste of the food.

The manager has no manners or etiquettes in dealing with the customers.visited twice and both the time returned back.

Good veg option in Udupi, close to the city centre. Chinese, North Indian dishes and south Indian breakfast items are a must try.

Dosas are slightly crunchy nd sweet ~they have the most beautiful dosas.
Authentic udupi food are served best here.
Don't come here for Chinese/north indian.
Mooda was hot, fluffy nd had light leafy taste.
SAMBARS SERVED HERE ARE ADDICTIVE.
They're sweet, tangy and lite.
Their lite nature helps moodas/dosas to absorb'em fast.
The problem we had with us was to find out this place. We thought they're closed as the entrance is not that catchy.
It's built under the ground with a small entrance.
Entering here made us like we're somewhere else in world, it's too good.
After all we had filter coffee (more milk nd creamy)
I was amazed to see the ₹616 bill for 5 adult’s meal.

Staff is very friendly and organized.

Place is neat and spacious.

Taste wise few dishes are just wow and others are just okey.

Food quantity is very little.

People who like fast service, vegetarian food with peaceful ambience will definitely enjoy this place.

They do take UPI and card payment.

Ambiance is very good, staff are fantastic, food must try everything! Particularly Leaf idly - Moode, Banana buns. Go for it anyday! You will come back again.

Used to be one of favourite place. However in my last two visits quality of food was not how it used be.

Day before yesterday Means 8/10/2021, We visited this restaurant and ordered 4 meals for take away and after taking order he asked us to wait for 20minutes, So instead of standing we thought of having something and one table was free at that time, so I asked one person who was alloting seats to customer, Sir whether service is available for this table, from that his reply should be Yes or No or please wait sir service is there. But instead of that he started shouting on me saying that why are coming and asking, we will call you just go and stand there.
What is this, Is this the way you people treat the customers, and that person doesn't know the meaning of customer satisfaction and how to behave with customers. Because of this one person your restaurant name may fall down. I never expected this from Woodland restaurant and I will never visit this place again and will pass this message to our friends and family.
Today it happened to me and tomorrow it may happen to many because of that one person.

Ordered South indian Thali unlimited! Taste is normal like any other veg hotels!
For unlimited meals papad so small and is only one, extra is chargeable at 6rs each! The sever feels so sad to add extra ghee for rice! Don't know why!

185rs meal + 6rs extra papad = 191rs

We nice place to have food with family. They serve very tasty, good quantity and quality food. The service is very good. One of my favourite place for dinner. This time I tasted Bread Masala which was different from other place. It was nice send tasty.

Good food. Running at 100% occupancy. Despite no restriction from govt as on today, Would have preferred them running it lower during covid times.

An amazing place to visit if you are in Udupi. This place gives you feeling of beautiful old days where you can spend some quality time with your friends with best served snacks and food. One must try their dosa (red chutney is show stopper), banana bun (mangalore bun), moode idly (soft as cotton) and do try their gadbad. And must to call out their prompt service and hospitality which was fantastic. You may found this place crowded over weekend so one must plan for some waiting time but it will be worth to wait:). Highly Recommended restaurant.

One of the best place to have good vegetarian food. I normally dont prefer vegan food while dining outside but this one completely changed my opinion. We had thali in which all the items were very tasty.

The go to restaurant in udupi. If you love tasty vegetarian food, then this place has some very good dishes. The cutlet is the famous dish here since ages. The gudbud ice cream is a must try and every other cuisine is very well prepared. Expect a waiting time or rush on weekends. Very close to the Sri Krishna temple. Very good service and polite staff. Decent ambience and worth the money.

If you come to udupi, the first place you must try food should be this place. They do not compromise on quality and quantity.

Be careful, the quantity is usually much more than you expect. If ordering any item, say noodles, think that it’s for 4 people.
Great taste, though I’d request them to reduce quantity.

Good ambience, Quality and quantity of the food is also good, doesn't weigh much for the pocket as well.

This is an amazing vegetarian place in Udupi to dine with friends and family. The menu is affordable. Both South Indian and North Indian cuisine is available.

A veggie delight.a restaurant which had stood the test of time.the ambience hasn't changed and so isn't the taste.best for a family outing.try poori kurma for breakfast (not later), ghee roast masala (last order 9.15pm), Gobi Manchurian, and Gudbad icecream. Must eat outlet if you're in Udupi.

Pure Vegetarian Restaurant with ambience completed in wooden theme. Though relatively expensive, the food is high quality and delicious.
Service is fast and tables are available in peak time.

Passionately cooked food at reasonable cost. Must try for travellers. Liked how my food was delicious even though the place got lil crowded.

I am giving 1 star because of hour man who is allocating seats. He rubbish you saying he is the owner of Woodlands and abusing the customers. Just now we had a very bitter experience with him. He physically pushed me.
If you don't remove him or punish him customers will avoid you!
