One of the worst experience over here. It was an afternoon as soon as I entered restaurant it was empty. Cleanliness was very average, I was in doubt so just ordered one shawarma roll. After 15 mins, I got the roll, I had high expectations but one bite into it no flavour, no taste just boiled chicken with some pickles. I had 2 bite, I saw hair in it. I just called the waiter and left the restaurant.
One of the worst Mutton Mandi I can say the meat was not cooked we asked the staff to check they went came back after 15min with the same meat without even been cooked We dint had meat we just had rice which was not like mandi rice it was like lemon rice Smal cockrach and ants running down to dinning table no cleanliness
Had mushakal. I first tried this place when I was in school. After so many years I tried again, still authentic. Still the best. Good service by Leo. Highly recommended for Arabian style of food.
A must try in Bangalore, especially if you are a Middle eastern cuisine lover. They are known for their Mushakal, which is basically a family platter. It can feed upto two to three people. It is basically a platter of biryani, which is not too spicy and made with Bashmati rice topped with a mutton or chicken gravy of your choosing along with tandoori starters lined on the corner of the plate.
The ambience is very cosy and nice. The staff is very kind and helpful.
The desserts are also very tasty, a must try is the Baklava and the Kunafa.
Super nice service and good food.we ordered the mezze platter and few other dishes. Few veg options but very tasty. Both Arun and leo took good care of us including a lovely baklava plate and candle (for a birthday) and making special veg option for me. The place smells bit musty and could use some sprucing up. But think we will go here often for our mezze fix.
Tried the muttonsheek kebab and hummus with khuboos. Mutton Sheek kebab quantity is too less when compared to its pricing. Taste wise it's average but quantity needs to be revised. Coming to Hummus, pricing is pretty the same across Bengaluru but taste should be enhanced on serious note. Please provide a proper khuboos or lebanese bread to serve atleast one person. On Conslusion, the quantity of food is not matching with your pricing.
Arabian style biryani. Includes Mushakkal, Mandi and other Gulf style biryanis. This place is good to visit with family. Little expensive but worth a visit
On short notice they arranged candles n lovely cakes for my anniversary. Zak recommended dishes which were really tasty especially mutton roast and maqluba at the end they served kunafa as complimentary.they were very particular about customers satisfaction.will visit again
Arabic cuisine with I guess more than 30 years of experience? Very good experience. Food was excellent and portions generous. The owner and his son very helpful and gracious. True Arab hospitality.
It was licious. Meat was evenly slow cooked and juicy and they've taken care of each dish with care. Maqluba was so good with fried veggies, evenly coated minced meat, puffy rice. The guy who helped us to choose the menu was amazing, he actually suggested us the best that goes with our taste buds.
A restaurant I shall highly recommend to treat yourself with Mediterranean food. You must try their Fatoosh salad and Mushakal (a special platter composed of chicken, meat, fish and prawns spread over flavored rice). The review would be incomplete if I don't mention the hospitable owner of this place, Zakey. He is a true gentleman, representing a host in the real sense.
Just visited this place with hubby due to some work. They served us Kunafa something I had never tried before. And it was yummy & a perfect sweet dish. Not overly sweet you can literally feel ghee melting inside your mouth as soon as you take that bite. Good place for family and the perfect place to enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Such a friendly atmosphere here ️
A place to go for Mediterranean food lover. Though interior is not very impressive, food is delicious. Hospitality is too good, they serve you with so much of love, I just loved it. They also have very good vegetarian options.
A family friend told us about Zaks, i had to try it out. Went there, very friendly staff. Nice ambience with the cabins. Made me feel like i was in a scene from Aladdin. Very cosy. Ordered chicken Shawarma, a fafel roll, hummus and the sheek kabab. The humus was amazing and the sheek kabab for me was fantastic. Such flavour and spice, it was perfect. They have more on their menu which i need to try next time. Pricing is decent. The Shawarma is rs 90, a sheek kabab plate is rs 200. Car parking is hard to find.
Brilliant place. Belongs to my friend and a humble person indeed! Fond of the entire setup! You will for sure have a lovely experience with family or friends! All the best!
One of the best places for Arab food in Bangalore. More than the food the owner Zak is very very courteous. I felt very happy the way he treated me and also offered different types of rice to try for free. A must visit pace for Arab food and also for the courteousness of the owner.
I visited Zaks after knowing and meeting the owner in another event. Was very excited and eager to go to this place. Here are my views:
1. Probably due to post pandemic the place was empty and when i visited the lights were not ON. I had to ask the staff if the place is open. After going in then they switched on the lights and music. The decor and the ambiance is very poor and gives a doubt if they can actually delivery good food.
HOWEVER
2. The staff are knowledgeable and know about each dish. They proposed good dishes and we ordered a few as per the description on the menu.
3. The food when dished out was absolutely yum. The taste was heavenly. The alfaham was yum, tasty and juicy. The mezzeh platter was awesome. The Mushakal rice was average as the mutton was tough. But apart from that everything was great.
4. The pricing are very decent. For 4 of us we spent just 1400/- which is good for Mediterranean food.
So, it's just the interiors and the emptiness that makes you doubt the food. Once the food comes the view changes. Hope the team can work on this for their good.
Cheers. Follow platewithflavours for more in Instagram
No items were available so they were suggesting wat they have n quantity is v v less. Actually we are from marketing too n we know whatever is available to sell that first. N quantity n unavailability of items dissapointed everyone
The best place to eat authentic Arabian food.do not miss on the Mushakal.it's the best.the staff is very polite.the owner is fun to be with. Chef Hystam is very hospitable and ensures you have a good time and yummy food.
The overall food experience was good.they need to expand their space and make it slightly more sophisticated based on the number of people visiting this place
The place could be better, the lift is run down, toilets just about ok, interiors could be better. The stairs is the best way to get there. All this is masked by the tasty Mushakal, the dish is prepared to perfection and is a crowd puller. Take out is a good idea.
PLEASE DON'T GO! Unhygienic place Two flies free with pita bread Cleaning the floor and dusting the carpet when we were still having our food Food was double fried Lamb was overcooked Owner is lethargic, unprofessional and rude. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
Nice place for a family dinner. I have never seen large crowds here, it's away from the hustle and bustle of Frazer Town. Good variety of Middle Eastern cuisine. Most people come here for their signature dish, Mushakkal. Recommended
I liked the place but my family dint enjoy the food. Well the plater with rice and mutton kebabs.rice was bland. I liked their salad.fatoosh. I could not try much as we were full. Quantity was good though. Alf am could have been better
Veg lovers, this is your place to have Falafal healthiest roll/bun/sub of your delicious taste and size. Huge portion will serve your stomach to the fullest. Also, hand pressed juice along with the loveliest fantastic dessert of the stall which is BAKLAVA shouldn't be missed!
It is the best restaurant I've been to. The food is incredible and I've never tasted such lovely Middle Eastern food in Bangalore. The servers very very cooperative and the food was very cheap though so well served and tasty.
The mutton sheekh kebabs were excellent, the hummus, al faham and pita were good. Staff are courteous, place could be maintained better. Medium budget restaurant.
This restaurant is located on comes road. One can easily notice while driving or sitting in the car itself. They serve middle East cuisine dishes. Every single fish is very tasty, yummy and mouth watering effect. The taste is different because of the different masala they use. Nice interior, good setup. There are private cabins are there for family. Low level table and chairs are placed in the private cabins. Overall great food for a good price.
I would give less than 1 star. Because the seating and the ind of service is just made us sick.i thought zaks is a good place for taste. But it happened the other way opposite.we ordered something and got something which tasted like shitttt.i would recommend every one not to go to zaks.raidan is better.they dont have better dishes options as well.no worth for money it is just the name and nothing else.people personal advise stay away if your looking for a good taste and try not to lose your value infront of your family if your going there.
A place where you will find the real Mediterranean food which is very wholesome and very homely. The stuff and the ambience is really nice and you will definitely go there back and I can vouch for it.
It is the best restaurant I've been to. The food is incredible and I've never tasted such lovely Middle Eastern food in Bangalore. The servers very very cooperative and the food was very cheap though so well served and tasty. It is the best Arabian restaurant in India
