It was amazing staying at zostel for a holiday stay. It is much relaxing and food is excellent. I will take zostel stay in future also.

I am not a person who can be around people, i visited this place just for experience for a day but i loved the vibe so much and was satisfied with the room and bed and washroom so i extended my stay for two more days.
No matter where you come from or what you do, this place is such u just help each other and share laughs.

The Zostel at Gokarna is one of the biggest zostels I have ever experienced. With separate kitchen and dining areas, it offers a convenient and comfortable stay. What sets this place apart is the vibrant atmosphere, as there's always something happening - from movie nights to lively parties. It's a fantastic choice for travelers looking for a lively and sociable environment during their stay in Gokarna. You get an amazing view of the main beach.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Zostel Gokarna! The location is absolutely amazing, and so are the hosts! They volunteered to take us to places in gokarna, treks, sunset points, and a lot of other fun stuff! The crowd is lovely! This is definitely the perfect place for wfh. 10/10 experience!

Zostel Gokarna’s got great amenities, stay, great views from the property and it’s also located at the perfect location to visit beaches and market nearby. It’s right next to a really good sunset spot and the people at zostel are very friendly and welcoming! They help you out with places you can explore and even plan activities along with icebreakers and games. Big shoutout to Riya - the zostel gokarna community manager who made the experience so smooth, helped us out with everything and helped make our trip a memorable one.

Home, you know why it's called home, not just a place, but also the people. Beautiful people as staff, I love each one, Dev, shiva, bali bhai and akka, they take care of each one without any judgment. Bharath, pradeepa and Gajendra, wonderful people can't Thank them enough for their existence, they are so kind to animals too.bro take care of mars:).
And a place you can always go back to at any stage of life at any state, feels home. I have met wonderful people and I'll always cherish them and be greatful.

And loads of other people I have met through Zostel and for all the beautiful pictures the place offered.

Beautiful beach view rooms, with amazing faculty members. Best place to get socialize with people. They organise different events everyday, had a great experience there.

So the stay is nice but the manager who is handling the property are so grumpy and didn't cordinate and understand other concern. I love only the mantra cafe that place is great, but mangers of zostel should understand know how to behave on situation, i feel terrible and not gonna suggest anyone to stay. If you are chill vibe person. Although it's look suspicious but hostel made the person they are living there.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. The Zostel Gokarna experience has been an absolute bliss with the Community Manager Riya organising activities to connect everyone staying at the property.

The dorms were clean and well-maintained. The view is spectacular and the community manager, Riya was an absolute sweetheart. If I ever visit Gokarna again, I'd stay at zostel. Its a no brainer.

Lovely view - actually the best stay with a view. Budget friendly. Mantra cafe is amazing. Say hello to Surjeet. Spend chill evenings after a walk at the beach.

Worst facility by zostel.

Food is pathetic.my entire group got stomach ache after having food at mantra. Common room is filthy.dirty matress.dust all around. Broken chairs adds to the pain, if you are on workation.
Coming to the bedding, not very comfortable.
Dirty washrooms and wild grass around.
Facility is poorly lit.only plus with this facility is the gokarna beach view.

Will never visit zostel.

Very nice sea view from common area and cafeteria. An awesome budget friendly place to live in gokarna. A must try for solo travellers. They also have their own events if you want to socialize.

We stayed here for 3N/4D (end of August) and my overall experience was Okish. Good ambiance & hygienic property. I suggest it would be good if you're coming here for chilling out, but not recommended as a workation. Believe me WiFi connectivity is very weak if you were inside rooms and we worked all the time on our mobile hotspot. Mantra cafe is the worst you would ever encounter in this property (feel free to checkout that -ve review at Mantra cafe review section).
I would only recommend to those people who are planning to visit this property just to chill out all the day and looking at the nature views.

Awesome view, hospitality and an amazing experience. People are really helpful. Wifi is good so that you can work with this awesome view.

Absolutely loved the stay. It has got fantabulous view of Kudle beach.

It's a popular hostel chain in India so whoever has stayed here know how Zostel feels.

For the first-timers like me, I loved it. But 95% of the people come to chill and drink particularly in Gokarna.

It is catered towards the younger crowd.

Private rooms are decent size at a slightly expensive price. But it's worth it overall.

There is a cafe inside called "Mantra Cafe" which is a separate entity but part of the Zostel.

Again, it's slightly expensive but they charge for the atmosphere and the feel.

Besides this hostel there is one more cafe called "Cafe Maleguddi" which is affordable with decent menu option.

You are solo travelers, you easily make friends here, you will get beach view from hilltop, power backup, ac facilities available

I think over time Zostel itself has become a brand. While it's always a people festival in Gokarna, there seems to be a lack of decent accommodation option which also doesn't put a hole in your pocket.

Zostel seems to be a solution here. The rooms are hygienic and are jn good condition. Also the fact that there is a cafe within the premises is a bonus card. The view of seashore from this place sure gets you mesmerized.

All this while you also make New friends!

Absolutely worth for the stay.you can literally sit on the balcony or the front area and watch sunset, main gokarna beach and whatnot.the vibes are great! Much recommended for ppl travelling solo or in group and especially for youngsters

Great view. Well maintained rooms. 24/7 hot water supply. Good wifi. Common room decent. Food is pricey at mantra cafe but tasty. Overall great experience. Met some amazing folks.

My original plan was of 2 days and ended up staying for 16 days. What better way to summarise a wonderful first solo trip with Zostel Gokarna.
I write this with watery eyes and amazing memories as I sit in the common area with last couple of hours left before I leave this amazing place.
Never did I imagine I would get attached with a place and it's ppl to this extent in span of a fortnight.
Thank you Sharvi (the sweetest community manager ever), Gajender (Reception Maestro), Varun (The Mantra king) and all the new friends I have made. This place has my heart. Will definately be back soon.
Gokarna 2.0 would be back, sooner than expected.

Location and ambience is nice but the staff is very unwelcoming. We paid for heritage visit but the guide was not at all interested, inface he himself told us that he is bored of the place and is not anymore interested. So i wud suggest that never take additional services.in Zostel Gokarn. Infact he told us that he will take us to visit kudle beach but then we kept on waiting and checked at reception several times that when are supposed to go. When will the guide come. After 3 hrs they informed us that he already left with some girls and do we cant go.

The only thing i can say, you can stay in Zostel Gokarn but dont go for additional things. Its total wastage of money.

Looks it's overrated. We had been there to have lunch as this place is good for foods and stay.we don't seem it's great it's slightly overrated. BEST THIS IS THE VIEW FROM THE CANTEEN

I stayed in Zostel Gokarna cottage very recently. The cottages are full of mosquitoes with broken bath doors, the bed spreads and pillow covers are muddy, faded and looks dirty. The only positives about this stay is good Air conditioning and hill top beach view. I think Dorms are better than cottages here.
It's overhyped and not worth the money. There are many other better options available to stay in Gokarna than Zostel for that price.

PS: I'm posting this review in Google because they have deleted my post in their Instagram page. It shows that they are not ready to accept their negatives and move on.

Located just next to the beach. Rooms are clean and have air conditioning. The cafe has the best food. You can experience a peaceful view of the sea and the calming sounds of the tides. Overall it's a wonderful place of stay.

One of the best places to stay for solo travellers. Dorms are super clean and the vibe is amazing. People are very welcoming. All in all 6 out of 5 stars (if I could).

Very good accommodation (cottages), wifi is strong around common areas (almost non-existent near cottages). Crowd was mostly in groups. Laundry was charged at ₹100 a load and done well.

Best place to stay for solo travelers with min budget. The view is good and the room is clean and safe. You will be provided with separate locks too.

Zostel and Matra Cafe please avoid, avoid these rude and very arrogant people. Not caring customers at all. They run their cafe at their own pace, literally not allowing outside customers. Many tables in cafe are occupied with no food activity and people doing timepass over there. What is the point you reject outside people who came for food and allowing many table to do just timepass without any food activity. Come to Mumbai, we can teach how to respect customers, how to handle rush, how to care about customers and how to do business. Even with very low foot fall they are not able to manage. Try some other cafes. Namaste cafe has some better sense of customer management.
Please please please don't visit and avoid disrespectfulnes.

Nice cozy restaurant up in the cliff with beach view. Very good view. No Hard liquor available. Food was ok. Service was late.
