We recently had our wedding reception at ABAD Plaza and it was a memorable event. From start to finish, the staff members including Balakrishnan (Balu) Chettan went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect.

Grand ball room was spacious, and the stage decoration was elegant. The catering team did an outstanding job with the food and drinks. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable event space.

I recently booked Abad Banquet Hall for my brother's reception, and I couldn't be happier with the service provided by the hotel. The food service was excellent, and I want to express my gratitude to Jaiphil for his exceptional efforts in managing the service providers. He even stayed overtime to ensure the event ran smoothly. Additionally, Mahesh provided outstanding service throughout. Highly recommended!

I used to be a regular here. I have stayed here and also been a frequent visitor at Canopy. I used to have good relationship with the staff here also. But recent changes have ruined what this place used to be. Meals at Canopy are still among the best in Ernakulam but it ends there. Other food are just passable and staff is plain rude. Last time I went there, there was no one to take the car for valet parking and when I tried parking on my own, security and another staff had abused me over a parking issues. Not going there anymore!

I am writing this review to share my unfortunate experience at the Regency Restaurant on the 17th of July 2023. My friends and I visited the restaurant for dinner, and unfortunately, our experience turned out to be far from pleasant.

Soon after the dinner buffet, all four of us fell severely ill with symptoms of food poisoning, including intense vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and fever. The situation was distressing, and we had to seek medical attention, which included antibiotics to combat the effects of the contamination.

The most disappointing aspect was the response from the Abad Plaza management, to whom we reached out with our complaint. Despite the gravity of the situation, their reactions were slow and inadequate. Not only did they fail to take immediate action to resolve the issue, but they also showed little concern for the personal harm we suffered due to their negligence.

In the aftermath, all we received were mere verbal apologies and discount coupons, which, frankly, does not suffice for the ordeal we endured. We expected a more responsible and empathetic approach from a reputed establishment like Abad Plaza.

I hope this review serves as a warning to others about the potential risks involved in dining at the Regency Restaurant. It is essential for any establishment to prioritize the safety and well-being of its patrons, and it is disheartening to see this not being acknowledged in our case.

I urge the management of Abad Plaza to take this matter seriously, conduct a thorough investigation into the food handling practices at the Regency Restaurant, and ensure that such incidents are not repeated in the future. Acknowledging and addressing the problem is the first step towards rebuilding trust with customers who, like us, have been severely affected.

While I appreciate the discount coupons offered as a gesture, I believe it is more important to prioritize health and safety, and this should be reflected in the actions taken by Abad Plaza to rectify the situation.

I sincerely hope that our unfortunate experience can lead to positive changes and improvements in the food safety measures at the Regency Restaurant. As consumers, our health should be of utmost importance, and we trust that our concerns will be heard and taken seriously.

Please take caution when considering dining at Regency Restaurant, and I hope no one else has to go through the distressing ordeal that my friends and I endured.

Note: This review is an honest account of my experience and is meant to create awareness among fellow diners. It is my hope that my feedback is taken constructively by the management to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Overall good experience with regard to cleanliness and hospitality. Breakfast was great with a variety of dishes.
On the negative side, the positioning of bed lamp was too close that we may hit it while lying down. (see the photo). Also the flooring needs to be renovated as it was making creaking sounds while we walk.

Staffs were friendly and supportive. Clean and good hygiene maintained. Prompt housekeeping staff. Good food to choose inside their restaurants and there are many other eatery options available close by. There is a Shopping Mall next to the hotel to roam around as well as good theatres in walkable distance. Their gym closes at 8pm. Hotel is located in between MG road metro station and Maharajas college station.

Cld now to enquire for a board room booking. Pathetic response.expected little more proffesionalism

Went to Restaurant only for Buffet Dinner on 31/08/22.
The quality was not good, they could have included Nonveg Dry items intead of 3types of Non Veg Gravy.the rice taste was too poor. Not upto the mark for the price paid.

The location of the hotel is great. Situated on the busy MG Road. Dont have to go far for shopping. Everything is available in MG Road. Metro Station, Main bus stop, Railway Station are all very nearby. Hotel room is big and spacious. Service is good. There is a roof top swimming pool. Had the buffet dinner. Food was good but expensive. Rs. 750 per head. Complimentry breakfast was simply superb with lot of options. Will surely stay here during my next vist to Kochi.

I visited their restaurant on the ground floor and the experience was below average. Most of the items in the menu were not available to order. The guests I brought along were really disappointed. We even had to call the waiters repeatedly ourselves right from the beggining. The food was just average and the ambience of the restaurant seemed like a hospital canteen. Overall, their service isn't upto the mark as per the price they charge.

A good old hotel in Ernakulam city.
We went to the restaurant only for a buffet dinner, and the food menu was not fully satisfactory for us.
The dining area is neat, clean and well arranged.
The customer service and staffs are behaving friendly manner.
Good ambience and amenities. Live music was there, enjoyed the buffet dinner.
Ample parking is available.

Unfortunately, last stay was horrible. Rooms are smelled with fungal, restaurant is good option.

Good hotel for stay at ernakulam. Near to MG ROAD OPPO metro station. Marine drive at walkable distance. Hotel restaurants are good. Hotel staff very prompt in attending duties. Check-in time for confirmed booking is more and that to be improved. Rooms are neat and clean.

Best service here. And banquet function halls very good space. Then Canopy restaurant was nice, Kadaloram also. Rooms services best I really enjoyed Abad plaza.

We conducted a marriage event recently. Food was really superb and all the arrangements was excellent. Staff was really helpful and not even a single moment we didn't need to bother about arrangements. Surely recommend one of the best place to conduct events that too in a decent price.

Rooms are ok for the price 2k~. Room service is good. They dont allow outside food, was a surprise to me.

We conducted our cousin's wedding reception at Abad. Over all experience is nice. All aspects of the event was perfectly arranged. Food  served was delicious and superb. The staffs were very co operative, professional and more over really energetic. I would recommend this place to each and everyone who wish to conduct their cherished events without any stress.

One of the Quality and good restaurant located on the MG Road. Worth for the penny. Reasonable price. Room service was really great. Reception desk and people who are working here is really responsible.open swimming pool available on the 7th floor. Chlorinated water they are using swimming pool. As of August month 2021 management allowed to swim on the pool. Wifi facility available. 2 hours limited wifi access available that one needs to improved.

NOT PROVIDING A PARKING SPACE

I came here for IELTS exam and am coming from Kollam. Am not much familiar with the local places here.
The issue am facing here is that you are not providing a parking space for my car. When i checked with the security, he simply says to park somewhere in the road. I don't feel its good that you can't provide even a parking space for the personals coming to your place?

Hygiene, good staff service, qyality if food excellent

I stayed in this hotel in 2017 for a week. This is a decent hotel considering 3 star. Interior is good and it has many amenities such as restaurants and swimming pools. I liked staying in this hotel. The area is good as well. You can walk a little bit and see many interesting outlets.

Visited here for a meeting. Clean and neat. Food is avarage compare to this class. Hospitality rating is 4.

I had my Mehendi function and Wedding here. It was a beautiful experience. All of the staffs are very helpful. We don't want to worry about the arrangements and food. Everything was done 100% grant by the whole team. The whole stage decoration as well as the food for both functions was awesome. Thank you to the whole team for making my both functions such a grant.

Biriyani served at 2 pm should have been a hot one although masal and biryani was good so am going positive also lime and watermelon was so bad we left as it is and chilly gopi was great, praws noodles, veg biryani fried rice was good specially the pastries and choco lava was too good.

Used to be a great place to dine but sadly managment is just laid back and a bunch of goons are running the show, had a bad experience with the parking arrangements since one of your drivers was just too arrogant, restaurant let me speak to an old guy sitting near the parking glass box but he didn't care either.

Hotel is at prime location. Lots of shopping options available near by.
Rooms ambience, service provided are excellent.
Dinner has authentic Kerala test.
Variety of options for morning breakfast.

Erstwhile Prime property n location.not suting for events with crowds more than a handful say 50-75, less parking space, conjusted, but well kempt.
Food is not great, there are better bargains nearby.
The staff n management is responsive trying to accommodate within their limited reach.
Reachability, amenities are a concern for family or social events but suits well for business meetings n the like.
The glamour charm gleam and panache seems to be lost with lack lusture aura around.
Over all renders a so-so response and no wow factor.

We were absolutely impressed - certainly not the best hotel in town but most definitely the
bestst value money could buy.
Excellent service, clean beyond indian standards, comfy beds and even room service is at an affordable rate.
Can't say if an indian would agree but if a European is out here for good shopping and a comfortable stay
THIS IS THE HOTEL TO BOOK

One of the oldest establishment in Cochin mainly business. Upkeep not upgraded for sometime. Food average.

Hotel is good, neat and clean. Food is average. I am totally unhappy with the staff behaviour at the checkout. I stayed there for two days and I made the booking through Make my trip. At the checkout I asked them for the final bill and the person at the reception replied "You will get bill for what you have paid here". I felt very uncomfortable listening to such a sense less comment but I never wanted to waste my time over there so I just checked out and asked Make my trip to clear the issue which got resolved immediately by them by sending me a pdf of the hotelier bill. But I have asked the hotel to give me the original but they still are repeating the same as they usually dont give bill for MMT bookings. Lol, I don't have time to do this, hope someone will see this and will do the needful atleast to educate the staff.

Its a good hotel available in Ernakulam. I visited there to attend an exam conducted by the british council. It was a good experience. It was a better experience

Very bad, not get wake-up call, as I have to catch early morning flight and requested for wake up call in the night from my room, but the lady staff not mentioned and miss my wake up call in morning.shameand not expecting such a silly mistakes by a brand organisation.

Good rooms, swimming pool and health clubs are well maintained. One of the oldest properly in MG Road, very good location. Metro station, ksrtc terminal are walk able. Two restaurant and one coffee shops.
The coffee shop, canopy is very famous andvfamiliar, it running till midnight.

Located at an accessible spot, by road and metro, along one of the busiest Streets in Ernakulam, the MG Road. The restaurant wing of Abad, named is a cool and peaceful hangout place ideal for short personal meetings

Very good food. Patient staff. I conducted Birthday Party of my son. Exceptionally good food. Live music available and staff is courteous. Thanks for the hotel staff for providing a friendly service.
