The stay was very much rejuvenating and we loved it.

Amazing place to unwind and relax. Superbb location adjoining the lake. Rooms and services also excellent. Lip- smacking food. Lot of varieties in jain food too. Grateful to Chef Umesh and other staff for superb hospitality.

Very good property with excellent location in this price. Well behaved and friendly staffs.
However there were some draw back like we had to remind them for room service again & again.
For example - 1. I had asked for drinking water and I had called for three times to remind them
2. We had ordered tea, after half an hour when I had called to enquired, the person picked up the call didn't have any clue so he had taken the order again. I feel the stuff were over worked.

Avoid it all cost. Rooms were dirty, WiFi didn’t work. I used my personal hotspots everywhere. Breakfast service was abysmal. Staff had no knowledge of food. Please avoid it.

I recently stayed at Abad Whispering Palms and had a wonderful experience. The resort is nestled in a serene location with lush greenery all around. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our stay comfortable from the moment we arrived.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. We had a beautiful view of the backwaters right from our balcony. The pool area was lovely and perfect for relaxation.

The food at the resort's restaurant was delicious, offering a variety of both local and international cuisines. The seafood options were particularly outstanding.

I enjoyed the leisurely boat ride and the Ayurvedic spa services offered at the resort, which added to the overall relaxing atmosphere. The resort's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness is commendable.

Overall, I had a memorable and peaceful stay at Abad Whispering Palms, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway in the beautiful backwaters of Kerala.

We booked the private pool villa for our wedding anniversary celebration. I should say it was one of the best decisions we made for the vacation. The main thing we liked about was the privacy and the ambiance. The view of the lake from the resort was spectacular. We really enjoyed staying there. It was so calm and peaceful.you can definitely opt for this resort.

We were there for 2 days of unwinding. It s nice place with great view and great service and overall value for money. And great place for family. Especially I like to take the name of Amal and Vishnu for there exceptional service.
Draw back is dining option which can be improved. With just one restaurant looks mediocre. And I will sujest to look into the furniture and fixtures. And one Saturday and Sunday becomes very crowded.

We stayed for two nights. The pool was well maintained. The food was absolutely lip smacking and the best part of the resort. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the property if you're in Kumarakom.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at, dirty furniture, broken spring mattresses, no facilities, unhygienic rooms, however the pool was amazing

This resort is not at all worth for the price which they offered to me. I booked 5 garden view rooms, rooms were clean and spacious but this resort does not have open yard to spend some quality time with family. Too congested and Pool is also just normal one. The buffet breakfast which they offered was pathetic for the price as menu was less and even taste was not so great

Rooms are in a need of Upgrade. Not that they are bad. Perfect for a gateway location. The location is otherwise perfect.
Plus the breakfast options need to be revised, kinda similar food everyday.

Behaviour of staff was very much humble, cordial and coperative. Staff deserves as special mention for effort they have put to organise a small B'Day celeberation during our stay. Granary, the restaurant was a wonderful experience with delicous spread of food items.

Special kudos to chef siju, baiju, indraja and manager jiby, for making our stay delicious and delightful.

Points to improve- Resort can work on improving pest control especially during nightnight, which will control the lizards running around the room.

A good location for a weekend getaway with your loved ones. Food is perfect for a relaxing weekend trip and the buffet spread is really good for breakfast and dinner.
Only thing to complain about is the pool which was very dirty with a lit of floating debris and creatures. Apart from the dirty pool everything else was good.

Stayed here once again for 2 nights with extended family. Great experience as before, so was the food n ambience. This time we got to enjoy the boat ride too

Crowded with buildings. Less free space. No sufficient seating too in free space. Rooms are only standard rooms and not worth for money spent. Less maintenance for furniture especially cane chairs are partly damaged.

Resort is bit old and could do with some maintenance, but since the industry is just coming back alive, amidst the pandemic, I personally would surely overlook such stuffs for the time being.

One of the many resorts in kumarakom, and one of more reasonable resorts was there for 2 days and total room rent was ₹6000 per day with breakfast buffet, the buffet had mix of Indian and continental food, the resort also has other amenities like a pool and games overall enjoyed the stay. Would recommend others. Service could be improved, was a bit slow.

Overall good - nice property, nice ambience and privacy, good food, buffet is reasonably priced. Good to travel in group and there is enough space for outdoor fun.
This is a 4star hotel however doesn't have that feeling. Some observations.
Expected more cleanliness in the room and effective pest control. Too many lizards and dropping, over night, all over the room including beds, table, luggage. This feels really weird.
Outdoor chairs are worn out so can't really enjoy the garden view.
Pool should have been cleaner. Probably because of the monsoon the water was greenish.
The lake frontage is good but there's lot of wastes dumped over the African algae accumulated towards the shore. Hotel should take some effort to clear out the area adjacent to the property.

I had a great experience from Abad whispering palms. It's a nice Resort, I like the service of all the staffs in the restorant. Front office staff's also very good. I will visit this resort again.

Not up to the expectations.rooms are not maintained properly.too expensive since they did not provide any entertainment fecility.but food yummy

I and my wife stayed at Abad Whispering Palms for about 22 hours from Sept. 28 to Sept. 29,2021 and we enjoyed every moment of the stay. The behaviour of the staff was extremely courteous and the ambience was excellent, far from the madding crowd. The vegetarian food we ate was sumptuous. Usually the veg.food available in non veg.outlets will be substandard. Here it was an exception. The cost of food is a little on the higher side. In general, it was a highly satisfying and memorable trip for us. Strongly recommended.

I would give 5 stars for the hotel room and the overall ambience. But the lunch I had was the worst buffet I ever had. Very pathetic menu for lunch. But dinner and breakfast was quite good.

Superb ambience excellent hospitality. You even have a option of house boating and speed boating. Amazing food and amble parking and good staff nature. Very much relaxing and perfect for any kind of stays. Loved it

Five of us in the family had booked 2 rooms in this property through a booking portal for 2 nights ie.on 22 nd and 23 rd of this month.
One of the rooms booked was Pool villa. The payment was also made as per the respective Tariffs. Accordingly we reached the property on 22nd by 1.00 pm - ie their check in time. However rooms were not made ready. We were asked to wait. No welcome drink was given nor even a glass of water. After 45 minutes, one room was alloted. But during Check in we were surprised to note that Pool villa was not allowed to us despite the payment made for the same. Despite our requests they did not budge and we had to stay in the lakeside cottage only.
On entering the room, it was found that Toilet door mat was not provided. This had to be called for. During the entire 2 days of stay, we found that the Power supply will go off in every 10 minutes and return after 1 minute. WI fi will not work most of the times as the signals are very weak. Though we brought this issues to their attention, nothing has been done to address the issue.
Next day when I woke up from the bed I had the horrifying experience of slipping on the floor as the room floor was seen flooded with ankle deep water. Immediately the matter as informed to the Reception and they sent a boy to remove the matter. The water is said to have come from some clogged toilet drains. The room was subsequently changed. But many of our dresses, bags, chappals and DSLR Camera kept on the floor for charging etc got soaked in water and was damaged in the process.
Our plea for compensation for series of lapses on their part right from Alloting rooms to the financial loss due to water seepage went into deaf ears only. Video on the entire sequence of this incident is with me.
Another harrowing moment is when we try to open the locked door from outside using magnetic key card. It will never work. Every time we have to rush to Reception to get that key Recharged - as per their version.
To encapsulate, our Onam vacation trip for a couple of days which should have brought fond memories and pleasurable experiences have turned out to be a traumatic and harrowing one on account of the careless and anti customer friendly approach by the staff and devil may care approach of the Management.
I am waiting to hear from them before I move to next step.

Went with a very high expectation as it was Abad but had a very disappointing experience overall. The room maintenance was very poor and the food was expensive and pathetic.

Food, room, pool, frount office everything was perfect GM & all the staff like sharat, beeny, jeenish & security & cleaning staff all were v professional.keep it up

The best resort I have visited so far. The look of the vembanad lake from the resort is great. There are lake view rooms, garden view rooms, pool villas. Go for their pool villas or bamboo cottages and it'll be worth for the money you pay. From their food menu, I liked their chicken fried rice, kerala parotta and fish pollichathu.

This is place is amazing. I stayed here with my family and had my wedding here. The cottages we stayed in were so nice and clean. The wedding venue was perfect and the food was top notch! The staff was so helpful with everything. After our three days of stay we really missed the place and the staff here! I’d recommend this place to everyone and can’t wait to go back!

Well maintained property with courteous staff. The rooms were very clean and neat. Awesome food and marvelous surroundings.

Excellent resort with clean facilities. The staff are very friendly and very willing to help. The pool villa is truly amazing with ample privacy and spacious rooms. My only recommendation is to include more local cuisine foods into the menu.

The resort was good, neat and clean. Food was also tasty. But the wifi was not available due to some issue and it was a spoiler as some of us having meetings that time and we struggled because of this. Initially told 30 minutes to fix which took 7 hours. May be an intermittent issue, not sure. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I think the current situation is affecting as there are shortage of staffs. We came there by 3.30pm and still the room was not ready. They tried to get this done quickly but the check in time was 1.00PM. Morning called for tea and told by 7 it will be open. We got it by 7.40 after some reminders. These things needs to be improved. It is a decent property and some improvement in the customer service expecting.

It's a good place to spend some relaxing time. Decent rooms and good facilities.
Buffet is worth the money. But weekends may be sometimes crowded which minimises our enjoyment.
Service personnel are very good and approachable.

So nice and well maintained property at the banks of Vembanad lake. Food was good, Staffs are courteous but I think they have less no.of staff strength these days, It is taking more time for all the services.

Well maintained scenic resort with a good pool. Very beautiful sunset view from the gazebo. Family friendly atmosphere and good options for vegetarian food also in the restaurant. Friendly staff following Covid protocols.

Good place for leisure, Room is neat and clean. Open roofing with glass covered toilet. Better place for photo shoot. Large swimming pool. Gardens are very nice, now budget price only.

Old but comfortable property. Would especially recommend for vegetarians, really superb veg food. Both south indian and north indian cuisines are really good here.

Decent property but proper maintenance could have given better looks and feel. The furnitures and fittings are worn out. Check in and check out was bitter experience. Customer service to be improved. During our stay, a corporate event was running, which was not a pleasant experience. The restaurant timings could have been planned in better way and all families felt the same

I tried booking this resort through the holidays club, but didn't get availability info for 5-8 days and eventually couldn't book. Very unprofessional.

I came here after watching Sujith bakhtan in YouTube. Like he said, We too had a BEAUTIFUL MEMORABLE STAY. We r a family of three including our 1year old son. It was my wifes birthday and wanted to do something special for her. Always doubted, whether it would be safe to travel, hygiene, security, food, etc. But the time we spent went like a breeze. I take this writing to thank the staff. Captain and restaurant team who made our cake and helped to arrange the ambience midst the wind. Reception and room service who took good care of us. Contact person Abhilash who gave the best rate for private pool villa (direct booking). All in all it was a very beautiful stay. I recommend this sure for any family looking to spend some private time with quality experience

most of the guests (98%,) were not wearing mask and maintaining social distancing at pool, lobby. The staff too failed to implement the mask and social distancing rules. Big failure. The owner to note this and take corrective action

Abad whispering palms kumarakom Kerala is a wonderful place to stay with family or otherwise. Good experience.

Resort was very beautiful. Stayed there for 2 days and felt very relaxed. Kids will really enjoy. No restriction on using the pool. Very calm place. Staff were very friendly, pleasant and professional. Room service was also good. Only suggestion is vegetarian food needs to be improved, no social distancing nor most of guests are not wearing mask. Go for lake view cottages than garden view cottages.

Good and Scenic Resort. Kids will enjoy lot, have all amenities for them. Rooms are neat and clean. Overall experience was enthralling

Nice welcome at reception. Hotel is situated at heart of Kumarokom and sight seeing from Hotel was very beautiful. Hotel rooms were spacious. I booked private pool and it was worth. Hotel is situated inside some village area so found number of insects in lobby area of room. Food was also good.

The resort is in a fantastic location.

Though the place is great, they property is now quite old, and not that we'll maintained. It needs good maintenance activities.

All the furnitures are quite old.

Standard of housekeeping was not that great.

Taste of food was good.
