ABC. Cafe & Restaurant

I had my worst experience dealing with the staff of this worst restaurant ever… we ordered starters which took an hour to come and that too wrong order arrived at our table… so when I asked the staff.he started behaving rudely… I thot I better go to the manager as is this a way to treat a customer… and it shook me to my core when I spoke to the manager as he said that we don’t like to serve Indian people… especially when this is in India… clearly people thr doesn’t consider themselves as part of India which is such a shame… I think the owners should throw these people away. (I am not sure about the owners if they are just like thr staff). I can’t imagine to be treated this way anywhere in the world… these people are disgusting as is thr food!

Fabulous simple place with good food and service and music. Chill out looking at the beach. The owner is a sweet person.

Food is yummm! This chicken mappas, seafood platter, fish fry, fish pollichath are a must try. Fresh fish and great taste. They could improve on hygiene part though.

Visited again today with few colleagues. Hospitality at its best, with a killer view!

By far the best experience at Kovalam. I have tried their coffee, pastries, salads, tiger prawns, pomfret leaf fry, pepper paneer, among other excellent dishes. Five stars for service and rooftop ambience.

Undoubtedly the best Resturant Kovalam can offer. Forget the looks when you start to enter, climb the stairs and you see the rich history that place can share with you, the place being as old since the beach became a celebrity.
The best food one can dream and taste in kovalam and the best staff be it Who are serving or the young chefs who are a different species compared to rest of kovalam and the tourism industry in general.
1st floor till the evening and 2nd floor from evening.

Their cakes, salads, special paneer Kerala style with black pepper, white pomfret pollicathu/enclosed inside banana leaf, tiger prawns fry, calamari etc are out of the world. I cannot think now of any other place than ABC to spend time with my family and friends. I cannot thank ABC enough for what they have provided us from Suresh, Rajesh, Ani, Kintu and others whose names I couldn’t recollect but will have a good word for them for the rest of my life.

Unser teuerstes und schlechestes Frühstück in ganz Indien! 400 Rupien für ein Healty Breakfast ist einfach nur gerechtfertigt wenn die Speisen auch wirklich selbstgemacht sind. Das Personal ist äusserst unfreundlich, unser Frühstück wurde von einem mürrischen Kellner am Handy serviert. Danke aber NEIN DANKE!

This place is not for local tourists as they don’t treat the local customers well and in the peak season time they don’t even consider them for dining at the restaurant.

Sitting comfortably on the first floor with a refreshing breeze coming in off the Arabian Sea. With a view to die for, attentive and friendly staff, food that is consistently great, cakes that are the best in India. I have visited here many times over the years, it is always a huge pleasure, you are welcomed and cared for. A marvellous combination that has been created here in Kovalam. It works, this is what a 5 star experience is like. How lucky you are to have found your way here, enjoy.

Nicely brewed coffee with option of soy milk, good masala dosa, make their own muesli without too much sweetener, a varied menu & excellent desserts (plus a clean Western toilet) make this a place worth checking out:)

Ate here several times in late September and always enjoyed coming back. They serve a pretty broad variety of food, both Indian and Western. Definitely the best coffee on the beach too. Perfect to grab one of the tables on the front side of the terrace and watch the boardwalk down below as the sun sets in broad view.

Not sure if it's still open or permanently closed. When we visited in the evening it was closed

The food here is not at all worth the money. We tried french toast, cheese omelettes, special breakfast and bunch of juices. Well, you really can't mess up eggs, so that was fine but apart from that, everything else was absolute rubbish. French toast tasted like toasted bread with cashews on top
