AC Waiting Room

Visited there on 4 am after a journey. Charged 30 rupees for 1 hour. Cushion seats are there. AC is there. But there is bright light which is always on. So it is not easy to sleep in that light. It will be so nice if the light is a little dim on night time

This is a place for sitting only, hourly 30 rs, bathroom is not clean at all. But they are strict about the timing

When comparing with A/C waiting rooms in other stations, this waiting room slightly disappointed me.
Felt somewhat congested. It's okay if you want to just rest or want to charge phones/laptops.
Around 50 people can sit at a time.
One European style toilet, one Indian style and a bathroom is available in gents section.
Washrooms are not maintained well. We can see Rum bottles and cigarette buds here.

Good option for short time waiting at Thampanoor railway station@ ₹30 per Hr

This waiting room is a boon especially during summer. If you are arriving in TVM Central and just need to cool your feet and freshen up, this is a good option. There is plenty of seating, bathrooms may be crowded at all times, there are lockers to store your valuables, TV and magazines too and all this for a reasonable charge of Rs. 30/hour.

Nice waiting hall with all facilities like sofa, mobile charging point, bathroom and toilet, TV, newspaper.we can get information about trains inside. Charges 30 Rupees per head per hour. PNR is must for booking the room either onward or return. Bathroom n Toilet is clean and well maintained. Room is clean and neat. Non AC waiting hall available free of cost. But not so neat. Non AC ladies waiting hall is good. We can take bath there at no cost. AC waiting hall is best for refreshing at low cost and less time.
