Akkulam Tourist Village

Nice experience. Everything was fine. Tariffs are not so high. Good option for kids and people who love adventures. A tea shop inside the village charges ₹20 for a tea nd ₹30 for a glass of drinks. The price is not mentioned also. So keep in mind, a normal glass of tea (not fresh, it's inside a flask) is charged ₹20. Other than that, it will be a wonderful experience. Needs improvement. The administration should understand the massive potential of this place. Huge scope of becoming a great tourism spot in Kerala.

It is one of the best places in trivandrum for chilling with family and friends. You will get yummy food from the neighbouring shop. Many activities for children. The swimming pool is okay. Quality is maintained. Staff are nice.

Clean and well-maintained environment. The colorful slides, swings, and other activities keep the kids engaged for hours. Ample seatings, shaded areas, and cafes made our visit more comfortable and enjoyable. Recommend this park to the parents looking for an outing with their little ones.

A good hangout spot in thiruvananthapuram. We can enjoy with reading books, plenty of gaming, swimming etc. Lots of fun & infotainment contents are available.

There is nothing much interesting there. The best time to visit is during daytime especially during morning and evening when there is daylight. At night lighting is very bad and the ambience is not that good

Nice play area for kids.of age upto 14yrs. Good quality play equipment and many trees giving enough shade for the children and parents. A good swimming pool is there nearby. The old boating house is "abandoned" as of now.with an unused incomplete walkway around the akkulam backwaters. There is a old "Surya Kiran" aeroplane displayed nearby.nice place for a morning outing with kids. Tea shops are there just infront of the park area.

A backwater destination in Kerala famous for its lush greenery. Akkulam tourist village offers leisure boating, swimming pool, and children's park under the canopy of a wooded area giving an ambiance you would not easily find in Thiruvananthapuram city.

Best place for relaxation and family hangout. Many rides are available for kids.main attraction of the place is surrounded by many trees. Swimming pool facility is available inside the tourist village.

It's basically a very good children's park. Children up to 10 years. Park is lush green and there is a swimming pool for elderly people which has RS per hour usage.
Park charges are 20 RS for one person.

Somewhat a nice place to relax but it's still under construction. Work is in progress and it is going to be a nice tourist attraction once work is completed.

I think your security guard need to learn how to talk with visitors. And when it's not open why its on 24 hours in internet. I will not recommend anyone to go there.

The tourist village is open now. The park is functioning well. You can have a row boating within the park in a small artificial lake. Swimming pool is also well maintained. Evenings are a little bit crowded yet calm and peaceful. Frequent police patrolling makes the place safer. Nice place to hangout for families, couples and friends, anytime.

Nothing much to see or do. Mainly a park for small children. No eateries to sit and chill. Nothing for elders.

Beautiful place on the outskirts of the main city near to Technopark, Infosys and Akkulam lake. Very peaceful surrounding with trees and plants. Kids will definitely love the park. An entrance fee of Rs10 for kids and Rs20 for adults should be paid.

Nice Tourist attraction with Good quality rides for Toddlers and small age group. Best for family and kids play activity. Recently they openned Swimming pool facility as well, tickets are reasonable and facility provided is good. 2 hours can be spent here for morning and evening walk and spending time with kids.

Feel calm and fresh. It has a fair pool, good to see and use. Lack proper parking areas. Haven't seen any eatables.

The stat government started this with a big hype and definitely would have spent crores of public money to start it up. And as usual, lack of maintenance reduced it to a scrap yard with tall grass just enough for some couples who needs privacy during the day time without having to spend much.
The cool drinks shops under the trees are fair enough pits stops for passers-by.

Stays empty during weekdays. They had a beautiful pool. Children's play area was great. Good place to relax with family. Nearby there is boating service available.

THIS LAKE SIDE RECREATION AND PICNIC SPOT WAS PATHETIC DURING SOME YEARS AGO. NOW IN 2019, RENOVATION BY KTDC AND MANAGEMENT OF DTPC MADE THIS AREA MUCH MORE BETTER FOR KIDS AND ADULTS. STILL THE SURROUNDING AKKULAM LAKE IS IN VERY BAD CONDITION OF POLLUTION. THE NEW CHILDREN PARK INSIDE TOURIST VILLAGE IS OUTSTANDING. MORE RESTAURANTS AND DINE AREA IS ESSENTIAL. CHILDREN'S POOL IS WELL MAINTAINED.

Renovated recently great place for kids, loved all the climbing and hanging.
Was really cool and refreshing even at noon when it was hot around. Top it off with tender Coconut water available just outside.

Park renowated and inaugrated by Honarable Tourim Minister. Kadakampally Surendran. Visitor please maintain the place near and tidy. Use dustbins.

View of aakulam lake is attractive and good and best spot to spend time with family friends and to read books and chill time.
No "TICKET" required to enter Aakulam Boat Club.

Great place for evening walks. Safe and family friendly. Great view of the lake during sunset. Renovation is underway as of April '19.

A nice beautiful place. A developing tourist village.there is a swimig pool.it is besides akkulam lake, also Air force, asmall beautiful children park etc.

The Akkulam Tourist Village is constructed where the native lagoon amalgamates with the Arabian Sea and the area is dotted with fish ponds, wading pools and beautiful landscaped gardens. Of late the city aims at constructing the first musical dancing fountain, which represents the Padmamanabha Swamy Temple in the background. This masterpiece would be constructed by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) in order to attract tourists from round the world.

Safe place with moderate rides for kids to spend an evening. Parents can sit and relax in the cool shade. Swimming pool is also a nearby facility.

Good place for kids. They renovated the place and made it very beautiful. There is swimming pool also. Lots of shades. Also place to relax. Good quality playarea for kids. Not so crowded.

A well maintained nature beauty park for children to play and a calm peaceful place for adults to chillout. The park has good shades which is of great comfort at noon time. The swimming pool service they provide is also good. Only drawback is that there is no good eateries nearby. Only local vendors in front of the park is available which is not that good.

Good place to hangout. But most of the waste are dumping on the lake and there by bad smell. Boating is good and worth for the money. Cleanliness is bit low. The hotel on the Lake is closed and waste are around it. If it is well managed will become one of the good place in Trivandrum.

The newly renovated park is very good for kids between 4 to 10. My son has played a lot and was not in a mood to come back.

Wasting money for renovation. The lake is the most polluted place in the world.don't go there. Even the park is affected due to pollution.
