It's a really well planned layout, enough doors, super spacious.
The lighting was stunning and the stage was located at a convenient spot easily visible from any point in the Hall

There is adequate space for parking right next to it.

My cousin's wedding was exquisitely held here, everything is nice and well planned, the washrooms could be a little more maintained and the greenroom should have air conditioning, apart from that all was handled good, sophisticated ambience and spacious hall

Alakapuri Auditorium is the first Air-conditioned Hall that came up more than 20 years ago in the State Capital of Thiruvananthapuram.

Located in the heart of the city, close to all upmarket locations, the Auditorium became very popular in no time, attracting weddings, receptions and other social gatherings to this venue.

In the initial period, the "unique selling proposition* (USP) of air-conditioning was the big attraction.
Later on, the well developed amenities, the compact design and the aloofness of the location from the congested roads, made it a very popular venue.

There is seating capacity of about 900 people, with good dining and parking infrastructure.

Convenient with ample space for functions, conventions.parking can be a problem but vicinity to city centre opens up multitude of conveyance solutions.

Parking space within the auditorium compond is very less, however an another big parking lot is provided by the auditorium authorities nearby.
The dining area is also pretty big and could accommodate 200-250 people at a time.
The kitchen area is congested and for a grand marriage function where sadya needs to be prepared, most of the chefs often find it difficult.

Good place for conducting small marriage functions and other things. Easy to be identified from vehicle in normal traffic. Decent parking facilities are available for both two wheelers and four wheelers. Air conditioned hall can occupies about 300 people. Good infrastructure and great atmosphere.

Went there for a marriage reception. Famous for hosting marriage function and receptions. Ample parking facility inside the premises. A dedicated Parking facility is available outside the hall also. Good dining space. It was the first AC hall in Trivandrum city. Noticable from main road. Situated in the Jagathy - Edapazhinji road. Just beside the Balasubrahmaniya temple Jagathy. Suitable for functions where 500 people are expected at a time.

If its a huge marriage there is no place to sit. I have been standing there and watched the marriage for several times

The view of the auditorium towards the stage is good. We can watch the function clearly as the sitting area is well spread so people don't have to sit in the back

A beautiful auditorium having been blessed with vast space for car parking, big dining hall, on the whole a nice place to celebrate the events of our dear ones.

One of the worst services ever given, they never say about the kitchen attached before booking, if you book half of the hsll, they eouldnwo give kitchen, on chrckich with people we got to know that the person sitting at thr front office has some connection with some catering people and if our caterers doesn't belong to his list then he will say some stupid reasons for not giving the kitchen even if the kitchen is free. Altogether the attitudeof the person is not good, dontd book Alagapuri Auditorium going forward, there are mich better Auditoriums in the vicinity like RDR, ananthapuri etc

Probably one of the best auditorium within the city limits, easy to locate and has plenty of parking space to add to the good list but not as high as rdr though.only problem with the place is the road in front of it is too small, so during the wedding season the area seems so crowded thus the common people find it difficult to travel along these road, which couldn't be helped.apart from that rest is splendid

It is quite spacious and it's capacity is around 800 people. It is an air conditioned hall. Though dining hall serves nearly 300 people at a time it's an ordinary one.

This auditorium is ideally situated nearby Sasthamangalam bus station. Easily accessible by road. Around 800m from the bus station. From Thampanoor, one could get buses ordinary bus from East Fort (frequency of buses from east fort is more) and get down at Sasthamangalam (takes around 20-25 minutes to get there. Auditorium is relatively small but can accomodate a moderate number of People (Seating around 600-800). Just to the back of the auditorium is the place to eat.

Another aspect is that the auditorium complex also have a small roof garden that could be used to conduct small reception function or parties.

Good auditorium. Much biger hall and everybody can watch the function in the hall. Best part is the Air conditioning. Its really good even in hot summer. Car parking space is there but can be maitained well with designing a parking lot. #auditorium

This one among the first ac halls in trivandrum. The air conditioning is well maintained. Hygiene is also satisfactory. But the space will be a bit inadequate considering the large parties nowadays. Parking is limited inside the hall but is provided separate outside. It is a good choice for wedding receptions if the crowd is moderate. The best part is the location which is calm and peaceful adjacent to subramanya swami temple. During functions there is a chance of traffic block outside the auditorium. Overall is quite good if you are organising a function which involves moderate crowd.

Its a good auditorium for small and relatively big programs, the parking lot is the one of the disadvantage here as the space is very less, you will have to park your vehicle on the main road itself Which is not a good thing to do,

Poorly maintained facilities. Wash area provided on the auditorium left outside is not clean. Car parking provided next to the auditorium campus doesn't have any direct entry / access to the auditorium area. That parking area is very poorly maintained. Very difficult to take cars out through the gate, without hitting the bottom. Parking area is having coconut trees without timely harvesting or removal of items that may fall down to the car body. Ground is not properly levelled. No proper cleaning. No board also for the parking area.

Auditorium sign boards are also not available.
