Ambady Resort Athirappilly

We stayed for one night to visit Athirapally waterfalls, which is very close (around 1.5 km) from this property. The property was good, Parking was big. Rooms were also clean and big.
Staff was polite and well behaved and we could order food as per their availability.
There was a river just next to it (1 min walking). We enjoyed walking on the river. In Morning it was really beautiful experience to walk across the river in fog and mist. Later you took bath in the river. Stay here if you want to enjoy the morning bliss in the river.
The last 500 meters to the property from the main road is not good.

Location and service is good. Food is basic but reasonable. Easy access to river. Linen and mattresses seems old.

Good stay but staff service could be better.they don't value the customers requirements.

Rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly. Plenty of parking and they have a childrens play area as well.

We have booked Standard AC directly with the hotel and informed them that we will reach late night. When we checked in, they have given standard Non AC room. When encountered, he asked for the additional 500 Rs for the AC, else look for the property elsewhere midnight. Very rude behaviour

I would never suggest this place for stay, we started from Pollachi. We asked for rooms and he said it's available. We said we will pay him in advance and to block the room. He said nothing is needed. I tried saying to him again and again to get an advance but he did not. Then when we went there late.but also we informed him that we will be late. And once we reached there he said rooms are booked, and he told us to take some other room which is a single room.we asked for 2 bhk with the hall. And he said 3bhk is available and he charged high. He said he can't. We told him we trusted u and also we said we will pay in advance but you're the one who denied. And he said okay.but he refused to give breakfast the next day when he will give it the before day. Overall he is fully money minded.

First of all my one star is for the staff's behaviour toward customers for trying to convince the customer that they are running a resort even though it is below lodge standard. Especially saju he was a kind person. But as a customer, we need the service for what we paying.
I booked an AC room directly for Rs. 2200/- per day (negotiated from 2500/-) and paid 50% in advance before the journey. I reached there by 12noon since normally all room check-in times will be 11 am and checkout will be the next day at 11 am. But here check it is 4 pm and checkout is the next day at noon. Anyway, I requested them to arrange one temporary room since we travelled more than 200kms on a bike with my wife. They arranged one temporary non-ac room and they agreed that by 4'o clock my room will be ready. I went outside for a ride and came by 4.30 pm but still, my room was not ready. After waiting one hour they gave me one room. There the problem starts. The charging socket was not working in the room. No tv cable connection. No shelf. No mirror. Nothing. I don't know why they are charging 2200 for such rooms. I have attached the room picture also. You can see where we kept our helmets.
I told the staff about this and then they called their owner and informed him through the phone. Then he started to reveal his arrogant behaviour. The owner was threatening me through the phone with abusing and irritating talk instead of accepting their mistakes. He said irresponsibly if you don't want then check for some other lodge. Since it was season time and no rooms were available so he utilised our helplessness very much.
I will never suggest this resort (the lodge is far better than this) to any family in my life.

We group of 20 riders stayed over there for a night.
Hospitality was too good. The local food was awesome and homemade.
The people over there helped us for over needs.
The price was too less for a larger group of people and we got enough and sufficient rooms for a larger group of people.

The best resort for stay with family. We enjoyy a lot. Thanks brother Shankar for your care and hospitality.

We got excellent food, we got a nice room with 2 beds. The staff members were very friendly. When we asked for anything they will get it done soon. Overall everything went well and awesome.

Thank you Sekharettan to give us a Wonderful hosting we received on 11 and 12th of June 2022 in connection to our Aunty and Uncle's Wedding Anniversary get together. We felt like our hose at Ambady. Nice ambiance with a clean and hygienic Kids pool, 2 minutes walkable to the Athirappilly River (Can take a good bath in the flowing water), very clean and well arranged spacious rooms, the exceptional staffs and the Directors are so excellent in hosting the guests. Nothing more to say, a wonderful and nice place to stay at Athirappilly.
