It was an amazing experience on the Koorichalil houseboat arranged by Amrutham Houseboat.
Location and other details was already sent in advance after the booking.
Many thanks to you Maneesh for arranging the houseboat even by mistake there was a wrong date I had agreed, you arranged on very urgent basis. Without you we couldn't have get all these.

Special thanks to captain Shreejeet and cook (forgot his name).
Paneer buttermasala, rice, daal, pomfret and chicken 65 was very tasty.
The morning trip was mesmerizing. One will be mesmerized on seeing the bunches of water lillies.

Morning breakfast with Puri Bhaji, pineapple juice followed by hot tea and coffee is also memorable. We had brunch instead breakfast.as had to drive to another destination.
Cook served as many puris and bhajis you want.

Captain also availed two pink water lilies for my child. She was overwhelmed on getting water lillies.
We also got ayurvedic massage service with the grace of Shreejeet and vipesh, which was also a wonderful experience.
We felt luxury experience on the houseboat.

We would like to visit again.

That was one of the memorable trip we had at Amrutham house boats. Great hospitality and friendly staff. Worth every penny spent. They were really cooperative to accommodate our special needs to make our special anniversary day memorable.

Amrutam houseboat has been an outstanding experience for us. We had booked one bedroom and it was well equipped with all the facility of a hotel. Vishnu cooked excellent home based meals for us and Rupesh taught us the driving skills of the boat. They were very friendly, helpful and hospitable folks who reminded us how beautiful Kerala culture is. Houseboat experience was a highlight of our Kerala trip.

Booked super deluxe houseboat for one full day including overnight. Overall quite disappointed with the stay considering we paid Rs. 12k+

Cons:
- Boat worn and in bad shape
- Very dirty (hair, bathroom mould and bad smell)
- No amenities (no toilet paper, towel or soap)
- No explanation given on tour or the area
- Overnight spot in someone’s backyard looking at rubbish, empty beer bottles etc.

Pros:
- Food was generally good
- Staff was friendly
- Route was scenic

Given the so many other positive reviews, my only guess is that some are fake reviews or we were very unlucky and outsourced to another boat company.
Overall would not recommend, better to book a boot through the hotels or on the spot after checking the conditions.

UPDATE: after my review the company kindly apologised and offered a 1k INR compensation, which is appreciated.

We had a family get together two days back. The staff was really good. They were always ready to listen to our preferences especially with regard to food. They served us excellent veg meals for lunch which included rice, sambar, pulissery, pachadi, pickle, pappadam, rasam, avial, thoran, curd, mezhukkuvaratti, with payasam. The ambience of the boat is remarkable. I would like to recommend the houseboat to all.

It was a perfect great experience as it was our first trip to the gods own land and it was more than expected. One must do the houseboat stay it’s a different experience overall. Thanks to the overwhelming service by both the staff Vishnu and Rubesh. I would highly recommend to go for them as you will feel very homely and can enjoy your stay.

Had an opportunity to travel at Kumarakom Houseboats. We were provided a beautiful traditional boat where all the cuisines were prepared from boat kitchen freshly.house boat travel was really memorable. Staff were friendly and cooperative throughout the journey.

Quality service and excellent houseboat accommodation at kumarakom. We really loved the experience. We had booked the boat with a top-deck which is ideal for more privacy and to get superb view.

A memorable trip in house boat. We booked this boat for my office get together of 60 members. A nicely arranged trip where all the requirement had been met. We asked for meeting arrangements as podium, Chairs, tables, sound arrangemrnt and Projector.special food specification as duck mappas, appam, kappa, Karimeen pollichathu, beef roast, kerala fish curry, etc. All the dishes were authentic and tasty. Booking was so easy as a quick call was enough.well coordination.

Amrutham houseboat team provided the very best holiday experience for my family group. They changed the menu to suit individual needs. They were spot on for service. From the booking till the boating Maneesh (owner) kept me informed. He even offered to co-ordinate the taxi trip. He was always willing to take my calls as we had some money transfer issue with the bank.
The staff were courteous and professional, there was one young member of staff with a pleasent smile.
I'll definitely use Amrutham houseboat again.

We had very best experience, we had our family of 50 people they all really had a wonderful experiance, and the staffs really allowed us to drive the boat.

Amrutham's boathouse was just what we needed to unwind, relax and soak in the beauty of the backwaters. The boat was very clean and spacious, the staff was great, food delicious. I'm already mentally planning more trips on this boathouse with friends and other family. Would most definitely recommend!

During Our Kerala trip Dec'2022 we opted for Amrutham House boat ride at Kumarkom. KTDC has booked us the ride. Maneesh Bhai and his team Acchu, Abhilash has taken us through a very Joyful ride for four hours. War welcoming, the kind of food they prepared is excellent. The Karemenu Fry, Tiger Prawns Fry, Long beans, Cabbage dishes were awesome and one of the best tastes of Kerala. Leaky House Boat!
We had a fun time with the family on this dated houseboat. It was raining on the backwaters and the boat leaked water from the roof. Their excuse, it’s raining too heavy. For Gods sake, this is Kerala. It rains here since I have known it. The poor condition of the house boat was saved by their staff and authentic food. They cooked us some exotic tiger shrimp and crabs, freshly caught from the lake and authentic Kerala food.
We had a good time overall.
The owners of the boat should improve the condition of their boat. It’s too outdated for the price.
I would recommend the back water experience for anyone who visits, just make sure that the house boat doesn’t leak.

Kumarakom is iconic for its houseboats cruises in backwaters. We had a fun and great experience. Beauty everywhere. Rate varies as per requirement. Try to bargain a bit. But ensure the best boat and service.

We had a 5 hour day ride at Kumarakom Houseboats. We were taken to Canals, Lake, Islands and Villages. Staff were so friendly. Food part was just good as it is so natural.

It was a wonderful 5 hours day trip at Amritham Houseboats. The staffs were well behaved. The food served by them was good.

We had our teacher's meeting at Houseboat Kumarakom where everyone enjoyed throughout the journey. Rate was so less when comapred. Food was very tasty.

Stayed in house boat last week, for a day.was a memorable experience.food n hospitality excellent.

My family had a memorable day time at Kumarakom. Boat cruise was for 5 hrs where they served special kerala cuisines. Cruised through Vembanad Lake, Canals, Villages. Had an opportunity to taste local Toddy and fresh prawns. It was a wonderful experience overall.

A beautiful day outing at Kumarakom Houseboats. These people are simply professional and helpful by arranging everything perfectly. They even arranged a taxi pickup from resort and a drop back on time. Since we were in strict Vegan diet, chef helped to maintain so. They are so reliable by all means.

We experienced the backwaters in Kumaramaom and it was a beautiful family experience for us. The boat was fantastic with all the facilities in it. The food was amazing and covered our soecial request of having a couple of options of North Indian food as well. The overall experience was fantastic.

Never knew this trip was going to be a lifetime memory. The food was fabulous. The hospitality was indeed commendable. You guys always had a back up for almost everything. Looking forward to avail your service in the near future.

Had a very good experience with Amrutham houseboats. The provided boat was neat and clean and they also provide delicious food. There was an upper deck which we can sit and enjoy the sunset.

The service by Amrutham Houseboats is very prompt and professional. They assisted us a lot in finding the right jetty, since we were a bit lost. Special mention to the food and snacks served on board, and to the two great crew members.

It was a great experience. I booked the house boat for a surprise cake cutting for my wife at 12 am. Maneesh coordinated very well and arranged everything on the house boat whichever I expected It was one of our beautiful memorable day. Nice boat house and very good customer service.
