Some days we cant eat the rice and drink the water due to clorin taste. Its pathetic. Just becouse of water entire ingredients are wasted

Had their mutton biryani.it was worth the hype.even past 3 o clock it was crowded so a must visit spot

I ordered Porotta and mutton curry

The mutton is perfectly cooked and is very soft.
The curry is normal. I don't find any special in that mutton curry (For me).

The porotta is also good and soft.

Overall it's one of the good restaurants to have a perfect breakfast if you like to have a non-vegetarian breakfast.
They also serve biriyani and I didn't taste that You will get mutton biriyani as well.

It is not biriyani. It is just flavoured rice with chicken curry! The worst part is that chicken was not cooked properly ewwww

Tried their Chicken and mutton biriyani recently. But nowadays sadly it’s not up to the mark as earlier. Still is good. Their chicken fry is a must try with porotta or idiyappam. The best thing is they dont use any food preservatives or additives like artificial colouring or flavouring items.
Quality of food serving and staff’s behaviour is very decent

I'm left pondering what the buzz is all about when it comes to the food at Apsara Hotel. I gave their mutton dishes a fair shot, but they all fell short of my expectations. It seems like there's a lot of hype surrounding this place, perhaps fueled by vloggers.the sentimental value it holds for the locals due to its age can be understood, but when it comes to quality and taste, it sadly misses the mark.

Tried chicken biryani. Average biryani at least we will get a dum biriyani at perumbavoor. Crowded place.

I haven't found such great biriyani! I never miss any opportunity to have a biriyani from Apsara! Lucky to be able to have such wonderful hotel in our city! Grateful to the whole team! Do try the chicken biriyani and mutton biriyani which are the incredibly delicious Finger licking good!

Worst experience
Went there due to the hype in social media regarding the taste and quality.true.they wer serving good biriyani in the past.but recently when i i went there.the biriyani rice had a chlorine taste and was an average biriyani.the cost is too high.and quality was poor.they take atleast 15 minutes to pack and give parcel.dont know what makes it too long to pack the prepared biriyani and give.

Food was delicious during the initial times. But recently we bought chicken biryani. It was not so delicious.

Not upto the mark

Nothing special felt, after eating their Motton Biriyani. Quality is less. Essence added in Biriyani, so dislike to smell. Biriyani should have its own flavour. Read reviews may be promotional. Cost is not reasonable.
Better you go to any ordinary hotel for food.

Excellent place in perumbavoor to eat biriyani. Their service is also good. Mutton and chicken biriyani is delicious served with Pappad, chutney and pickle. The special tea is must try. They don't have beef items here.

Parking space for the hotel is very small.

Old world charm in this restaurant where they are only focussing to get you grear food at affordable price. One of the best Kerala style biryani and chicken fry you get here. Go there with cash since card machine hasn't reached there yet.

Food here is cooked in firewood fire. No refrigerator, all are fresh & daily cooked / prepared food.

Not extra ordinary. Food taste is natural. But you can eat with confidence because they don't serve old food at all. They don't have a freezer also. So definitely recommend to someone without any doubt. Parking is not available for cars, only bike can be parked there.

Famous for Mutton items. I prefer their mutton biriyani and chicken biriyani. Very good food. Be there before 12, or else you may have to wait long for a seat.

Food taste is not as extra ordinary as wrote above & vlogged in YouTube. Less quantity & quality also not up to the mark. 1 biriyani cost 220₹, which is more for 2 small pieces of mutton & this small quantity of rice. Not a place to search for & dine. But service was quick & good. Neat & clean also.

Traditional tellichery biriyani. Almost 45 years serving with this taste. Should not miss at least once u come to perumbavoor. Have only mutton and chicken. Will get fry and chaps of both for a tasty porotta.

One best and oldest reaturants in Perumbavoor town. Located in the Perumbavoor main signal, on Angamaly-Muvattupuzha road. Located on the left side after the signal on way to Muvattupuzha. All the dishes are good. The restaurant is mainly know for mutton briyani and muttom chaps curry

The best biryani i ever eat. Mutton biryani is the best, with a black tea. Parotta and mutton chops. Polllliiii. If you are a fooddiii, you should try this spot. You love it. Price is reasonable and the taste is guarantee.

Quick service.good porotta.the gravy they give with the porotta reminds you of local tea stalls in rural areas.mutton fry is pretty good.but watch out for the tiny pieces of bone.they are a choking hazard.one went clean into my upper gum area.mutton biriyani was disappointing.i wouldn't recommend it at all.stick to the mutton fry and porotta and you will go home happy

Apsara hotel once served the best birianies in the city and the whole of ernakulam town. But now their birianies don't taste the same as the years went by. Now also they have their traditional birianies which are good and mouthwatering with its aroma arising from the hot biriany but not as good as the old ones that they cooked. Now also they have the best in town not only birianie they also have other curry dishes and soft fluffy parathas

This place have a great nostalgia for us.

Who ever comes to Perumbavoor shall try this, because there is a difference from all the other newcomer Hotels.

They remain in the same way with pickle, pappad, salad, chammanthi and ofcourse mutton/chicken biriyani with/without egg can be half or full.

Loves apsara biriyani

I had appam and chicken masala here morning twice.and boy it was very tasty. There's little to none parking space and hard to notice if you're not.from around Perumbavoor.

One of the best Kerala cuisines restaurant in Perumbavoor. Apsara Biriyani is as good as any brand or trademark in this bustling town. Very tasty food and serving the same menu and varieties for decades. Limited menu options and the restaurant looks dated, with the same old furniture and not so spacious interiors. Limited parking space. Quality and tasty food is their strength, which has earned them a huge fan following.

Though some locals are really fond of their biriyani, I don't feel like they are the best around now. Past days they would've. Parking would be concern for bike yeah maybe fair.
I have been there atleast 5 times. First time I got really good one. Second Meh. Third OK. Fourth average. I summarised inconsistent.
They mostly serve biriyani and serve not too many number daily. The shop mostly closes between 5-7. Now this is something i consider for 1 more * as this might result in the customers having something good for stomach.
If the rating is for food alone then it's a 4* I believe.

The authentic taste of biriyanni. If you guys are visiting perumbavoor at noon time in between 12 to 3 must need to try. Mutton and chicken biriyanni are the famous. Also a special tea for 15 rupees it also a highlight for the hotel apsara.

Good biriyani! Both chicken and mutton biriyani were good and is available in single and full portions. Chicken fry was different from usual but was nice.

My favourite food at Apsara hotel was Muttom biriyaani. Good ambience, Old famous hotel, neat surroundings, nick named as"perumbavoor kayees hotel"

One of the worst koothara Mutton biryani I ever had. Compare with Hotel Nooriya Mattanchery (haneefikka) and B for Biriyani, Kayees Rahmathulla this is not deserve half value of they takes. Worst experience

Nice restaurant with great biriyani. It was actually my friend Rahul who suggested this hotel and it was fabulous. There is a huge rush to get fud here and most time we needed to wait to get an empty chair. This place lacks parking facility and we can park about 30 bikes beside the hotel. The place is historic and has opened it about 30 yrs back. The rates are higher and it cost more than the rate at carnival food court kakkanad. In my opinion the rates can be slightly reduced so that more can enjoy it. I think they have good goodwill at perumbavoor and that's the reason for the higher rate and they knows that people will not complaints on rate if they get good food.

New Modern Apsara, one of the famous hotel in Perumbavoor for biriyani items. Beef items are not available here, chicken and mutton items are too tasty. Chicken biriyani, Mutton biriyani, chicken roast, chicken fry, mutton chaps, porotta, appam these are the menus'. Restaurant is well maintained, hygienic and can go with the family without any second thoughts. Restaurant is crowdy in almost throught out the time. Highly recommended.

ഭക്ഷണ കാര്യത്തിൽ യാതൊരു പിശുക്കും വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചയും കാട്ടാത്തവരാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പെരുമ്പാവൂരുകാർ. പെരുമ്പാവൂരിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണ പെരുമയോടൊപ്പം സംവത്സരങളായി കൈപിടിച്ചു നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥാപനമാണ് ഹോട്ടൽ അപ്സര.

ഞാൻ പെരുമ്പാവൂർ ബോയ്സ് ഹൈസ്കൂളിലിണ് സ്കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തിയിരുന്നത്. സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിക്കുന്ന കാലത്ത് എനിക്ക് വൈകുന്നേരം സ്കൂൾ വിട്ട് നേരെ ട്യൂഷൻ പഠിക്കാൻ പോകണമായിരുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് വീട്ടിൽ വന്ന് വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ ചായ കുടിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് അപ്സരയിൽ നിന്നും ചായകുടിച്ച് ട്യൂഷന് പോകാൻ എന്റെ പിതാവ് ഏർപ്പാടാക്കിയിരുന്നു. ട്യൂഷൻ മുടങ്ങിയാലും വൈകുന്നേരമുളള അപ്സരയിലെ ചായ കുടി മുടങ്ങാതെ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

ഏതാണ്ട് എഴുപത് വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പ് അങ്ങ് വടക്ക് മാഹിയിൽ (തലശ്ശേരി) നിന്നും ഹോട്ടൽ പരിപാടിയുമായി പെരുമ്പാവൂരിൽ വന്ന ആലിക്കയാണ് അപ്സര ഹോട്ടലിന്റെ പിറവിക്കു പിന്നിലെ ചാലകശക്തി.

അന്ന് പെരുമ്പാവൂർ നാലുംകൂടി കവലയിൽ ഹോട്ടൽ കൊളംബോ എന്ന പേരിൽ ആലിക്കയും മറ്റു രണ്ടു പേരും ചേർന്ന് നടത്തിയ ഹോട്ടലിൽ നിന്നുമാണ് അപ്സര ഹോട്ടലിലേലേക്കുളള ചുവട് വെയ്പ്പിന്റെ തുടക്കം.

കൊളൊംബോ ഹോട്ടലിലെ മൂന്നു പേരിൽ ഒരാൾ ഒരു വർഷം ഹോട്ടൽ നടത്തുകയും മറ്റു രണ്ടു പേർ അടുക്കളയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു അവരുടെ രീതി. ഇതേപോലെ ഓരോരുത്തരും മാറി മാറി വർഷാവർഷം സ്ഥാപനം നടത്തുകയും ആ സമയം മറ്റു രണ്ടു പേർ അടുക്കളയിൽ ജോലി ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്യും.

വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷം ന്യൂ അപ്സര എന്ന പേരിൽ ശങ്കരയ്യർ സൺസിന് ഓപ്പോസിറ്റ്
ആലിക്ക സ്വന്തമായി ഹോട്ടൽ ആരംഭിക്കുകയും പിന്നീട് ഇപ്പോൾ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയുമാണുണ്ടായത്.

ആലിക്കക്ക് അഞ്ച് ആൺമക്കളും
ഒരു പെണ്ണുമാണുള്ളത്. രണ്ടു വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് ആലിക്ക മരണപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഹാഷിം, ബഷീർ, അയ്യൂബ്, അക്ബർ, സമീർ എന്നീ അഞ്ചു ആൺമക്കളും ചേർന്നാണ് ഇപ്പോഴും ഹോട്ടൽ അപ്സര നടത്തുന്നത്. പുറത്ത് രണ്ടു പേരുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ ബാക്കിയുളളവർ അകത്തുണ്ടാകും. ആ ഐക്യവും സാഹോദര്യവും അർപ്പണ മനോഭാവവും തന്നെയാണ് അപ്സരയിലെ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ ബറക്കത്തും എന്ന് പലരിൽ നിന്നും കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. സാഹോദര്യ ബന്ധത്തിന് ഉത്തമ മാതൃക തന്നെയാണ് അവരുടെ രീതികൾ.

മറ്റൊന്ന്, സമ്പത്ത് വെട്ടിപ്പിടിക്കാൻ നെട്ടോട്ടമോടുന്ന ആർക്കും ഒരു മാതൃകയാണ് ഇവരുടെ ബിസിനസ് രംഗത്തെ സമീപനങ്ങൾ.

വൈകിട്ട് ഏഴു മണിയോടെ അപ്സര ഹോട്ടലിന്റെ ഷട്ടറുകൾ താഴും. അപ്പോഴും ധാരാളം പേർ മടങ്ങി പോകുന്ന കാഴ്ച നിത്യവും നമുക്ക് കാണാൻ സാധിക്കും. പകലിലെ സൂര്യ വെളിച്ചത്തെ വെല്ലുന്ന ഹാലജൻ ബുൾബുകളുടെ പ്രകാശം കൊണ്ട് രാവിനെ പകലാക്കുന്ന പെരുമ്പാവൂരിലെ മറ്റു ഹോട്ടലുകളുടെ പ്രവർത്തന രീതികൾ അപ്സര ഹോട്ടലിന് ഇന്നും അന്യമാണ്.

പാതിരാത്രിവരെ ഭക്ഷണമുണ്ടാക്കി തുറന്നിരുന്നാലും അപ്സരയിലേക്ക് ആളുകൾ എത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമെന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ ആർക്കും സംശയമുണ്ടാകില്ല. എന്നാൽ അതിന് ഇന്നേവരെ അവരാരും തുനിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലെന്നത് എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട ഒന്നാണ്. മാത്രമല്ല ഇന്ന് ചിലവാകാത്ത ഭക്ഷണം പിറ്റേന്ന് വിളമ്പാൻ വേണ്ടി ഫ്രീസറിൽ വെക്കുക എന്നത് അപ്സര ഹോട്ടലിൽ ഇന്നേവരെ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. ഫ്രീസർ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു ഹോട്ടൽ എന്നതിനെ കുറിച്ച് ആലോചിക്കാൻ വരെ കഴിയാത്ത ഈ കാലത്ത്, അതിൽ അവർ പുലർത്തുന്ന സൂക്ഷമതയെ നമുക്ക് അഭിനന്ദിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.

അതേപോലെ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട മറ്റൊരു കാര്യമാണ് അവിടത്തെ ജീവനക്കാർ. വർഷങ്ങളായി കാണുന്ന ജീവനക്കാർ തന്നെയാണ് അവിടത്തെ മറ്റൊരു പ്രത്യേകത. അതിൽ നിന്നും ജീവനക്കാരോടുളള അവരുടെ സമീപനങ്ങൾ
എപ്രകാരമായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും.

കുടുംബ ബന്ധങ്ങളും സാഹോദര്യ ബന്ധങ്ങളും വിഛേദിച്ചു കൊണ്ട് എത്ര സമ്പാദിച്ചിട്ടും മതിവരാതെ കൂടുതൽ കൂടുതൽ വെട്ടിപ്പിടിക്കാൻ പരക്കം പായുന്ന നമുക്ക് മുന്നിൽ വേറിട്ട് നിൽക്കുന്നു ഹോട്ടൽ അപ്സരയും അതിലെ അഞ്ച് ആൺമക്കളും!

Favorite place for a long time. Chicken masala and poratta is awesome. Biriyani is also great with less oil/dalda. Neat and tidy

People coming with great expectation may become unsatisfied. But in this location this a great hotel, chicken in the biriyani is not much crispy, the tea is very good and tasty
