I recently stayed at GoStops Alleppey and it was a wonderful experience. The location is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained.

What made my stay truly memorable were the amazing hosts, Anoop, Deepak, and Subin. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed and provided great recommendations for places to visit nearby. Their hospitality made me feel right at home.

Overall, I had an amazing stay at GoStops Alleppey and I'm looking forward to visiting again. Plus, everything you need is conveniently located nearby. Highly recommend!

Rooms are big & comfortable. Every bed has its own light & fan which makes it even more convenient. Rooms had AC as well.
It is located just 3Km near all the places that one visits in Alleppey - Beach, Catamaran, Boating, Kayaking, etc.
Is a good place for large group of friends.

While the rooms were not great, we didn't spend much time there as we were quite involved in the plenty of games in the common room. The location is also highly strategic for shikara rides as well as beaches.

We stayed here for one day. The building is really good; it has a vintage vibe. The food was average, and improvements are needed in terms of hygiene.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Go Stops Alappuzha, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and a charming atmosphere that made my trip to Alappuzha truly special.

Stayed at goSTOPS Alleppey in July 2023, which is apparently an off season there, so hardly any hostlers around yet my stay was amazing, they help you with almost everything. It's a bit away from the beach, but that was fine for me. It used to be a school prolly in the nineties and now it's renovated into a hostel. I love places with small histories like that. Loved it!

Property ok, Very bad service, experience, not safe also! Don't choose, you can find better option nearby.

Worst property and such dirty location. I just checked in and checkout in 10 mins. No safety for girls. No separate washroom and dirty washroom. Dirty blanket. AC not working. Sells deluxe room for 1300 but room quality is like 500. My 3000 rupees Also went waste but happy that I took decision immediately to checkout. I will take this on twitter also and get this property closed. This location is not safe for tourists.

Room are in neat and clean condition, more than the expectations. I like the location of hotel and behaviour of staff. Everything was in good standard.

There was a fire incident in GoStops Alleppey. The circuit board exploded causing fires. My friends narrowly escaped the ordeal but it’s not a safe spot to live in. All GoStops locations are situated in old and badly maintained buildings and are unreliable. Same with GoStops Mumbai.

They have AC timings only after 8pm in the night till morning. No AC in the day its a sad thing and they show's AC room or dorm. But okay if you jave tight budget

Average for the price. I stayed in the 8 beds female dorm. They said there’s in in-house cafe but our roommates said the place was unhygienic so they didn’t recommend it. So we had to take rickshaws to go out everytime we had to eat.this hostel is 15 mins walk away from the Alleppey beach and the restaurants at the beach are disappointing and still expensive. The food really sucked.
The beds in the dorm could use some cleaning, there were spiderwebs and lots pf mosquitoes. Washroom was also average, not good enough. I’d choose a private room at some another place instead next time.

Rooms are very good and cleaning. They maintain very well. The Hotel near to allepy ️ beach and light house. We are enjoying in these go stops allepy. Staff members are good and behaviour.

Overall a good experience.
Nice n friendly staff. Spacious room. Hot water facility and drinking water available in the hotel at no extra cost. Common room also available for reading and other recreation purposes. Distance of the hotel is very near to Beach.

I was worried after seeing lot of reviews on room cleanliness, water supply problem, AC problem and staff behavior. However we didn't face any such issues w.r. T.room. Staff failed to co-ordinate the room availability properly apart from that they were helpful. Property is very near to few cafes, light house beach and railway station.

Very nice place. Early check in late checkout policy is very good. Common area has board games.dorms are clean. Staff is very friendly. All basic amenities are available.

Had taken a Private room. Quite non-professional staff. There was no food, water supply was cut in the morning and we couldn't use the washroom for full 2 hours, nobody at reception, support call didn't help.the hostel is in a 100yr building but it has never been renovated it seems so is quite bad in terms of hygiene, cleanliness, etc Quite unprofessional and laid-back hostel

THE best hostel stay I've ever had. The dorms are clean, well maintained and spacious. The location of the property is such that most of the tourist attractions are well within reach.
They have a nice indoor common room and an open outdoor area where you can easily work, play games or socialize with other backpackers.
The Kitchen is great, well equipped. You can easily get some of the basics like Tea/Coffee/Scrambled Eggs/Paratha/Maggi and for other specifics the hostel staff will guide you to good places.
The hostel staff Samagra, Akshay, Harsh are some of the nicest and super friendly ppl I've ever met. These guys are doing a great job at making this place a perfect stop for backpackers.

PS: If you choose to have Aloo paratha at the cafe, ask Samagra to make them and not Akshay:)

We had booked gostops because of the reviews we read, however were really disappointed with our stay. The staff was friendly but wasn’t available at the reception during mornings. Rooms were not that clean and washrooms were in a bad shape. There was no food available in the hostel. Also, the worst part was there was no water supply in the washroom on the morning of our checkout, and ofc no one at the reception to help with it.

The staff did not care about the guests one bit - just kept asking if the payment was done. The rooms were big but you could see layers of dust around the upper bunks. The property wasn't well maintained at all.such a nice spot and open area but there were shrubs and dust everywhere.

Rooms are good washroom was so small.

Had an amazing stay at GoStops Allepey. The property is cute and well maintained and just a few mins away from the beach. Host was friendly and helped us with travel plans. The dorm was huge, clean and spacious. Not to mention, the crowd was awesome ️

The best hostel I've been to! Had a cosy and warm stay here. The staff are super nice and helpful. Akshay and Ashwin are doing a wonderful job there. The washrooms are well maintained as well. Will definitely be visiting again. Totally recommend this place to other travellers!

GoStops, Alleppey located near Cullen Bridge is an under rated traveller’s hostel. It is like 500 mts away from the Alleppey beach. The place is pretty decent, good ambience. There’s also a kitchen with a few appliances provided. The rooms are clean. AC available. Lockers available. Parking available. Wifi available. They have separate dorms for male and female. Totally a good and a budget friendly hostel for backpackers.

Not an ideal hostel to stay at with really dirty washrooms. There's a lack in the vibe of this place. Not at all maintained nice. The volunteering is extremely poor. Should have volunteers who are really ready to upgrade the place for a better experience.

The rooms are very good and service is also good and the location of this hostel is near the beach and it's within walking distance.

One of the best place I ever lived. I recommend gostops over zostel. Zostel is like rich kids type. You'll feel gostops is like your home. Staff is very supportive. I'll visit again and again here.

It's quite underrated in spite of having better services than other popular ones. The rooms in Alleppey was too spacious and clean. There is a kitchen available for cooking as well. The staff is very friendly and makes sure guests are comfortable. I recommend this to all backpackers!

It was near the beach and canal, and the rooms were spacious, but there are no facilities. The common room also does not have ac, they switch off the ac in rooms day time, it's really difficult to work during the day without AC. They do not clean the rooms or washrooms properly. I would suggest they have a better system to clean the area.

Ah, what a beautiful stay I had here. The property is peaceful and clean, with trees around it, and also two very cute dogs - Tyson and Tiny, who just make it a happier place to stay at. It is also at a walkable distance from the beach and you can find canals nearby too. I took walks to the beach and canals almost every morning and evening since it was so close-by. Both property managers, Akshay and Anoop, did a great job by making me feel at home. They will also suggest and arrange activities like Kayaking, Shikhara rides, etc for you if you ask for it. It is good choice for solo and group travellers, or for a workation if you like a more peaceful vibe. I loved the whole experience and ended up staying there for 2-3 days more than originally planned.

The hostel is located in close proximity to the beach and the Alleppey lighthouse. There's a canal at a stone throw away distance. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The lush greenery around is sure a threat to sore city eyes. The outdoor area and indoor common room are good! Definately recommending it for a solo traveller specially if you're backpacking.

Quaint little villa with a nice dormitory and an optional private room. No food options available, but you can cook your own in the kitchen. Also, the guys guys who run the place are quite helpful! I don't click a lot of pictures, there's only the 2 I'm uploading, but it's a neat place to stay in.

Beautiful old house with beautiful garden. Helpful staffs. Clean and big rooms. Breakfast was included but I couldn't try once because of the timing. It was too early for me but I believe it's good. Too much mosquitoes in the evening but good they are well prepared.

Friendly hosts, lovely place and at a walkable distance from beach. Ambience was very soothing adding up to relaxed vacation.

Supremely helpful people who help you make your backwaters experience in Allepy super easy. Really enjoyed how the hostel team didn’t push anything on you they simply asked very nicely whether you wanted to book through them or not. AC was wonderful, plenty of room, and clean bathrooms. The outside seating area was nice as well for some late night socializing with other backpackers. Enjoyed my time there!

Clean hostel and great host. Light music is always playing and at great price. Backpackers go for it.

Excellent location. Beach is walkable, railway station is 1.5km away, auto us right at the gate on the chowk the other side of which a canal runs parallel.

The room is clean, bathroom hygienic, music lively and breakfast good. There's an open sitting space to hang out. The building is huge and an old one in a very nice way.

For local recommendations about cruise, cuisine, culture and toddy, strike a conversation with the friendly staff.

Fantastic value for a clean, air conditioned double room with ensuite.

Excellent double room with fan and A/C.
The room came with towel, toilet paper, soap, top sheet and blanket.
Big ensuite so the toilet stayed completely dry when we showered.
Not a lot of light comes into the room in the morning so it's nice for sleeping in. Lots of lighting options so you can have it bright or dim in the room.
Our room was nice and clean, sheets and bathroom were clean.
All the staff were very friendly and introduced themselves to us and chatted with us.
Great wi-fi speed.
Free drinking water.
Breakfast of omelet, toast, jam, fresh fruit and tea/coffee was great and available from 7.30am.
Chilled music playing so made a nice atmosphere in the common areas.
Multiple, nice outdoor seating areas with fans and they even have complimentary bug spray to keep the mozzies away.
There was plenty of secure parking space for our motorbike.
We could pay by credit card.
We really enjoyed our stay here.

Fabulous hostel! Stayed here for 4 nights in a private room. The room was comfortable for two people, with an ensuite shower. Quite refreshing to stay in a wall maintained independent hostel. Ideally located close to the Alleppey beach, I had a fun stay here. The managers are great and help you out with suggestions and recommendations.breakfast is included, and although its basic, it's healthy and sufficient.

Clean linen and washing machine facilities are available. Its very peaceful here and safe. Most evenings, people would gather in the common area and play games or chit-chat, so I would recommend this for solo travellers too!

Will definitely revisit in the future! Special shout-out to Shraddha for being an amazing host.

Walking distance from beach, rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is very helpful (they gave me contact of canoe ride). Tasty breakfast is also provided. Best part was I met with many unknown people and we became friends

What a gem this place is. Lovely setting in an old building. Clean, lovely dorms. Just perfect to just chill.

Loved the architecture and the vibe of the place. Sradhha and Rahul were very very helpful and also great to talk to. Would love to visit again one day.

This place is very well maintained. Sradhha and Rahul were very welcoming. For the prices they charge and the facilities they provide I'd call it a steal. The beach is hardly a 5 minute walk from here and on request they even help you out with boat tours around. A lot of decent places close by if you want to explore on foot. My score 10/10. Cleanest backpacker hostel in Alleppey, close to beach 1km away from back water, building remembers old colonial architecture

Pros
- Good location, close to the beach
- Clean, spacious rooms with bunk beds
- Great ambience around the hostel, with good music playing during the day and evening
- Nice seating / chilling area on ground floor
- Breakfast spread was limited, but delicious. Breakfast is served at 7: 30 AM typically.
- Host is well versed with the area, and was able to suggest good options on what to do

Cons
- Room with eight bunk beds has only one bathroom. There's another common washroom outside, but that's not enough
- There are plenty mosquitoes in the open area on ground floor. They provide odomos, and have mosquito coils around. Even then, I got bitten multiple times
- They don't serve food other than breakfast. So we had to step out for all other meals. There are no eateries close by.

Breakfast is really good at this hostel. Rooms are very spacious and clean. A/C could have been a bit more powerful due to the size of the rooms as took longer to cool them down. Manager was very helpful, she rented scooters for us and gave us lots of information about the area. Would definately stay here again.

Really lovely hostel. It's in an old school house so the rooms are in classrooms. We had a private bedroom so I can't comment on the dorms. The private bedroom had good air-con, hot water and fast wifi. The hostel staff were really helpful and organised backwater tours for us (at a very reasonable price). We stayed on a Saturday night and they put on some live music. We booked for one night but ended up staying for two. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. The area is not too near tourist attractions - the local beach for example is not great - but it is a great base to do tours in the area from.

Best accommodations for price I ever had in a hostel. The single room is really comfortable with a.c, hot water, and private wash room. The mixed dorms are also a.c. And have nice beds with good lockers. The whole property is nice, green, and we'll maintained. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min taxi to the back waters.
