Aryavilla Heritage

Probably the best place we stayed in India! The staff could not have been more helpful, assisting us with laundry, scooter rentals and a very early morning tuktuk to the train station. The homestay is just a stones throw from the beach, and has a lovely roof terrace for relaxing. Our room was non A/C and did get a little bit hot overnight, but I can be sensitive to heat and should have known to choose an A/C room! Overall I would not hesitate to stay here if I returned to Varkala

Aryavilla is the place where best varkala days are given. Beautiful, clean rooms, interesting cookery classes, delicious food, and being so close to the beach are all good. Loved the loving behavior of the staffs. It is a safe place to trust and stay for women only who come to enjoy Varkala. We really enjoyed our stay here. Will definitely consider this place first when visiting Varkala again.

Awesome experience here. Just one suggestion that if shoes are not allowed, then home slippers should be provided. No drinks and no smoke policy is very helpful

I would avoid, as they don't accept any confirmation we already had to this place in booking. They ignore the reservation we had and tried to push us to another place which is only accepted for 1 night. We had to search for another place in the time of the weekend when everything is full.

Aryavilla is the optimum at Varkala Cliff. Silence, very nice service stuff and good breakfast and very close to the promenade.green garden and clean rooms

I had the pleasure of staying at Homestay Aryavilla Heritage in Varkala and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The homestay is located in a beautiful and peaceful area, surrounded by lush greenery and the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The highlight of my stay was the warm and friendly hospitality of the owner, Suresh. He went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable and helped us book a scooter and kayaking session. Suresh's attention to detail and willingness to help made our trip even more memorable. I highly recommend Homestay Aryavilla Heritage for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Varkala.

Very well located within Varkala, only a few minutes walk to all the Restaurants and Cafés, but still quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Kinda basic rooms, but with everything you need, privacy and very kind staff around. Warm water was not really warm, but outside it's so hot that you don't really need it. So it's not really a negative point, because I didn't mention it to the team & give them the chance to correct it. Would come here again if ever again in Varkala.

Its bad that negative reviews are not accepted by you! You are being so much defensive, To be more specific about the issues we faced- Ants, lizards, insects are coming inside the room and also someone burning the wastes nearby, smoke is entering inside the room, Ceiling fans are dirty, no proper hygiene, still more to say ….

The place not only is clean, safe and beautiful designed but the owner and the staff all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast at the property was delicious.
This is a perfect safe spot for a solo traveller girl!
Walking distance to the beach was just a bonus! Very highly recommend!

On reaching the Inn, I was asked to go to a nearby accommodation named "Gypsy Walker". That accommodation was decent. Never try to access by car as the street is only of single car width. If a car comes in the opposite direction you will have a tough time. Except close proximity to the beach (you need to tread through narrow paths for 250m) the property does not have facilities like hot water, wi-fi, TV etc. When we checked in (afternoon) there was only an attendant. When I complained about the very low speed of the ceiling fan he replied that all fans are of the same speed. I promise that I am not seeing a ceiling fan for the first time. There has been been wide variation in tariff and no bills are issued. Foreigners are exploited. When you have many other hotels available nearby I must have chosen another hotel. Not worth for 4K.

The property is in good proximity from the cliff and the beach. The price of the rooms we stayed in was 2k per night. Suresh, the manager and the owner of the property was quite friendly and warm to make us feel comfortable.

Stay was fine adhered to the heritage. But the cons were:
1) flush was making meow noises I thought a cat’s spirit was trapped in it.
2) The portrait of the lady in the room creeped the soul out of me. Now I have no soul (+1 star since the lady was pretty good looking)
3) cupboard was too small I couldnt hide inside it from my creepy roommate.
4) No free shampoo, conditioner, teabags we can take home: (.

No TV, No Water Heater, No Intercom, Very congested Car parking, Very narrow walkway, Just a place to snug in. Would personally have spent a bit more to get into a better resort. For this setup the cost charged should be half the rate only. But, very near to the Cliff and other restaurants.

Suresh is really a great host. The room was clean and services was amazing. The rooms are affordable and its in between the flora and fauna. Even during the peak hot day the room was cool enough. Must try the breakfast if you are really interested in typical Keralite breakfast. You can even ask Suresh for the menu or ask him what you want to try that too at an affordable price.

Had a very good and happy stay. Suresh Chetta was down to earth and kind. They didn’t charge a penny extra. They also arranged a room to refresh for our emergency even after our checkout. Rooms were very neat and the breakfast was good too.
It was a wonder experience and worth the money spent.

Pros:
1. Closer to Varkala Beach
2. Near to helipad which has ample space for parking
3. No interference of staffs/owner
4. Every room has a separate balcony
5. Cool owner, staffs friendly.
6. Good for couples, families, groups etc

Cons:
1. Go for ac room if you're at the top floor.
2. Need to work on cleanliness of rooms/washrooms
3. It's a homestay so don't expect hotel like service
4. No fooding option, but nearby places are there for food.
5. Private parking requires an expert driver due to narrow road

If there was a way to rate this place any lower than one star, I would have. The owner of this place, Suresh, was terrible. We were three women travelling and we were given an awful room with an even worse bathroom. When we expressed our concern, he was offended and he threatened us. He said, I will see how you girls will stay here, I will cut off the electricity to you room and also call the police for no reason. While we told him that we will vacate the next day because of the room’s condition, he forced us to leave the place in the middle of the night and refused to refund us. We had a horrible experience and I would suggest no one stays here, unless you want to experience the same thing that we did. The rooms are really bad, the bathrooms are dirty and the entire place is very very unclean.

Perfect stay in Varkala!
We had the best time in Aryavilla Heritage. It's so close to the beach, clean and we loved the balcony and spent most of the time actually there

Had an amazing stay at Aryavilla! It's a little inside from the beach with a narrow street, but Verkala Cliff's parking spot is just 2 mins away. Suresh gave us an amazing welcome and helped us with directions, parking, upgarading rooms, etc.

Great value for the price, and location is excellent - just a short walk from all the restaurants on the cliff.

Best place, nice place for bachelors, friendly staffs, budget friendly, rooftop is lit and had nice vibe during night.

This place is very near to beach 2 minutes walk, Suresh is really helpful and good hospitality would prefer everyone to stay here. I had a comfortable stay here for 3 days

Extremely warm and sweet owners! If you choose to stay here try the food too because it’s the authentic and yummiest food ever. It really feels like Home.

One of the awesome and peaceful place to stay in varkala. The location itself is perfect very close to the cliff and has road access. Suresh the host was very welcoming and helpful, he also helped us getting a bike.

The experience here was very homely and refreshing. Offers nice rooms with all basic amenities and the best highlight of the hotel is that it is just about 100 feet from the beach cliff. Alongwith this, it has a rooftop area which is an ideal spot for a small group gathering for a musical night etc. The hotel also offers various holiday activities including yoga classes. All of this added with very efficient staff members make it a perfect stop for a Varkala visitor.

My family and I stayed there for 2 days. It was a very pleasant experience. All the credit goes to Suresh Chettan himself, whether its cleanliness, or no matter what we need we will have it there then. With such a good location at a reasonable price, you can't get anywhere in Varkala.

Had a wonderful stay at an affordable price and pleasant atmosphere very much close to the beach and cliff. The owner was very friendly, polite and helpful. The rooms very clean and tidy. Bathroom was hygienic. Enjoyed the lush greenery and cool breeze from the balcony. They provided us with cool water and arranged vehicle service to the railway station early in the morning.

I had a pleasant stay at Aryavilla, took the AC room with balcony, very clean like super clean place, Suresh is a very professional & polite guy, cleaning was every 2 days I was provided with water bottles & laundry service, it was just an easy stay near everything & if you’re a clean freak this place will suit you!

My husband and I stayed here for our workaction. It's a guesthouse with all the basic amenities available. Just a minute away from the cliff and the beach. The place is clean and well maintained. The owner Suresh is polite and a friendly person. We also rented our bike from him.
