**Don't risk your life doing any surgery in this hospital
**The doctors in the hospital are not skilled or experienced to do surgery.
**The hospital is more focused on making money than on caring for its patients.
**I strongly recommend to choose a hospital with skilled and experienced doctors who are focused on caring for their patients.
** My friend's father died from this hospital who was in his 60s (age) after a minor surgery
** My mother died in this hospital after a minor hip bone surgery who was 69 years old. We are totally disappointed with the surgeon Dr. Imthias VK and orthopedic team Dr. Narayan Prasad.
** I saw a facebook post from Sreeni Alakode about another patient's tragedy in this hospital

The negligence and unpreparedness of the doctors led to the death of the reviewer's mother within 24 hours of surgery.
Doctors in this hospital are not capable to do any surgery. Please don't bring your loved ones to this hospital. Total negligence and unpreparedness lead to the serious blood clot in lungs (pulmonary embolism) and death within 24 hours after the surgery. Hip surgery is a common surgery and normally less risky, this incident fully reflect the carelessness. Please think twice before you do surgery in this hospital. You want the best doctor to treat your mother and love ones, not a regular doctor or not a hospital negligence or malpractice. On the other side, they are focusing on how to make money rather than care.

I came for medical fitness here. Through out my journey Dr. Ashish P Krishnan, Ms. Sheeba (health care assistant) and Mr. Vishnu were helped me a lot. The behaviour, way of treating customers are excellent. I appreciate all the Aster mims Kannur team for the efforts and care they are providing to the public.

Very poor coordination, they make you wait for more than 4 hours for a scan and more than 2 hours for consultation. Don't visit this hospital at all. Pathetic management they don't know how to manage patients and not all concerned about the safety. Just the building looks big nothing else. It's 4pm I'm still waiting for the scan. It's been 4 hours.
No proper seating arrangements worst hospital even been. They don't care about anything.

The breastfeeding department behavior needs improvement and most wanted your canteen to close at 10 p.m, why like this? Bystanders cannot eat food here because there are no good restaurants nearby. Please open this canteen at least until 12 pm. Bystanders here didn't get a room, so how could they stay here.

They treat the patients very poorly and have rude behaviour towards patients. Doctors are highly unprofessional. When my mother was taken to critical care, they behaved very bad to my mother.

I had a shoulder injury for which I have consulted Dr Sreehari in MIMS Hospital Kannur as he is well known ortho and shoulder injury specialist in town. Unfortunately, I had very bad experience in clinical diagnosis. Dr Sreehari didn’t bother to examine me physically (I think he is Covid fearing man). 1 st visit he just asked me to raise my hand from distance and immediately advised for an MRI. I did the MRI and next day I visited him again. He just casually looked at the MRI for few seconds and diagnosed the problem as full torn muscle and advised physio for a week and asked to meet him again after a week which I did as per his instruction. In this visit he said, physio wouldn’t help here, so I need to go for a Arthroscopic surgery and assured me 100% recovery. I have decided to go for surgery but my family insisted for a second opinion. So I went to another ortho specialist Mr Sameer Ali in Calicut, Meitra hospital who did a full clinical checkup and found out to my dismay, my problem was not only muscle tear but stretched auxiliary nerve damage due to which my upper arm is immobile. He confirmed this with additional EMG study which shown stretched nerve. Then he said, at this stage if I go for a Arthroscopic surgery, that wouldn’t cure my shoulder but will have to wait for nerve recovery which is not 100% guaranteed. To make it short, he saved me from a complicated surgery which wouldn’t have brought any positive result had I listened to Dr Sreehari’s advise. So, my earnest request to every person who needs medical assistance for any reason, please go for a 2 nd opinion before taking any treatment

The doctors in this hospital are very efficient and reliable. But there is very long waiting time in the hospital for the patients. Even if the appointment is booked patients are being waited for hours. Hospital expenses are also too high. Unnecessary testings and other treatments are also being done.

Minimum Average waiting time for a doc is 2 hours. Simple advice try another hospital. Dont waste time. Crowded places, OP, Parking, Pharmacy and even restrooms. Seems like Management only cares about money, felt like a government hospital. Never going back to here. They will give appointment starting from 10 am and 9 am, but doctors will only starts consultation from 11 or 12.30. Ruined Aster Brand Name. Systems works like sloth

Went there for a relative treatment and had stay there for 3 days. My relative had to undergo surgery and was accomodated at room in 4th floor and there was a nurse called D? Y? N? Who was rude as hell to the patient and bystander.this particular nurse do not know how to behave with patient and she doesnt know if epidural infusion given to the patient is over or not, it is a pathetic condition. ASTER MIMS YOU CHARGE A LOT OF MONEY AS NURSING CHARGE FROM THE PATIENT, THEN Y CANT YOU PPL KEEP INCOMPETENT STAFF TO LOOK AFTER PATIENTS. Why are u ppl playing with patients lives? A

It is your responsibility to explain and the patient also have the rights to know their disease condition. If your aim is money only, no words to say.

One of the best hospitals in Kannur. It's part of the Aster DM Healthcare group of hospitals. Situated on Chala- Nadal Bypass on Kannur- Thalassery Road.

Almost all modern medicine facilities are available. Very good doctors for most of the departments. Only one issue i have seen is with the medicine delivery at the pharmacy. It will take more time to get the medicines from pharmacy than consulting doctors. Management can think about streamlining this process to give better experience to patients and their family or friends.

Because my husband is admitted to the HDU, while my husband admitted iam Not there in that time so I requested to HDU staff nurse to see once my husbend but they Not allowed to entire the HDU.highly attitude sisters. Iam Not satisfied this hospital service

I had been to MIMS Kannur today. My niece was advised to take USG of her abdomen. She drank water and and waited for her turn for hours. I think that the staff should be advised how to deal with the patients and when the patient to drink water to get ready for the scanning. If anybody drinks water and wait for the scanning for hours, it would give the patient more discomfort than her illness. I hope the hospital management should look into the matter at their earliest and find solution for it.

I would like to share experience with aster MIMS kannur and it's not a good one. I had admitted my father with leptospirosis in MDICU on 27/10/2021 to 13/11/2021

My father did not recover due to sepsis but also had to go through a very painful stay at the hospital.

I am a healthcare staff and I clearly understood that he was completely ignored by the staff. His entire back including the back of his heal, head (large wound bleeds after than hours he passed away), elbow were affected by bed sores.

This complaint is to make sure that no patient goes through such inhumane treatment. There were no air mattress provided on firstweek which even a small hospital does these days.

It is so painful to see your loved ones bleed even after they passed away.

I request the CMO and others to look into the quality of care being provided. Making a person's condition worse after admission is not the aim of healthcare is what I believe.

This is definitely a controllable issue that's purely in the hands of the staff. Kindly do take my complain seriously and do take immediate action to save more patients from going through this unpleasant and painfull experience.

I am suffering from leg and scrotel pain since 4-5 years and consulted 2-3 doctors in Mumbai but no luck and not identified my problem. I have shared my problem to Rizwan doctor who are available in General medicine and he provided me one week course of medicine. Now i am feeling better. So a big thank you to Rizwan Doctor and also Aster management to appointed these kind of talented and experienced doctor in General Medicine department. And the Staff also very good and polite. Special thank you to Manu who are handled my health check up process. Overall five star rating for Aster MIMS

This hospital may has the best doctors and facilities but it won't add any value unless you have staffs who really care about customer satisfaction in service, recently done a MRI and we have been told that the report will be ready within 24 hours, but we actually got the report almost after 48 hours, this is too after continuously contacting the report dispatching section, what more frustrating is that the staffs who are attending our calls are keep on telling lies rather than giving us the actual status. Very pathetic service

A decent place. Doctors are fine. The service is pretty slow in most departments. The wait time is too much even after taking an appointment.

While there are good doctors available, patient care is not at the expected levels. Car parking is pathetic for patients, but excellent for doctors.

Pharmacy is overcrowded always that it is better to buy medicine from outside.

Though there's an app for patients, reports are not uploaded in it. Instead you have to manually request them to send it by email.

Instead of wasting ur money in a hospital like this, please go to any of the gov hospital which may give uu more care and responsibility.my sister was admitted for delivery according to the instruction given from this hospital (on correct date). But we were not given any rooms for 24 hrs. Which i felt very bad bcoz they let me and my mom to sit in chair like a statue. This hospital management is running behind the money. Bcoz they r taking maximum patients which is not possible for them to handle. Thats y there is a shortage of rooms. I never recommend this hospital to anyone

A well equipped hospital in Kannur with leading doctors in town.

This serves as a referral hospital in this locality.

Almost every speciality and super speciality doctors are available here, including an endocrinologist which is a rare skill set. Only exception I could find is a Retinal Surgeon.

Best thing about this hospital is the nursing care, angles are doing a great job here.

Other paramedical staffs are also good, my experience with dialysis unit is excellent.

Patients can reach out to Manager on Duty (MoD) for any of their needs, this team doing a wonderful job under pressure.

This hospital is always crowded, a long queue is seen in front of the pharmacy most of the days.

Getting a room is also tough here.

Canteen on the basement, Cinnamon Kitchen is also good. It's more of a multi cuisine restaurant than a hospital canteen.

Comparing to the other hospitals in town, it's expensive too.

Tried calling for enquiring maternity package they gave me another number to call from gynecology, they too did not receive the call.
The management will have to rethink If they are loosing sale, because the staff is not pro active

Excellent infrastructure and facilities but lacks coordination. The tag line "We'll keep you well" doesn't match with the service. Hospital administration team should be stronger to get the coordination well aligned. Please value the time that you get to service a patient and set the expectations right. It's as simple as that.

My mother was admitted for kidney stone surgery. Doctor was good. Worst service from nurses. When we requesting politely, nurses are shouting on us. One of the billing staff is behaving like a third class criminal.

I am writing this while waiting for scanning at Aster MIMS Kannur. From 11 AM i am waiting and now its 2: 40PM. Still there is no indication when they will call for scanning. When enquired at the reception they said the scanning guy went for lunch and didn't come back. With more than 30 people waiting, he is enjoying lunch for more than 2 hours.
Advice to Management: Request To respect the time of people.

Big multi speciality hospital located in kannur. Experienced doctor's are here. Almost all kind specialist doctor's are available. There is a parking lot in front of the hospital. But it is not much enough. Also there is pay parking. The doctor's refer expensive medicine which is effective. So financially backward people can't admit here for the emergency cases. The hospital looks premium. Overall the doctors are well experienced.

Yesterday i was admitted in this hospital not at all it's not a hospital. It's a business centre they are not careing about people's health they are all-wise careing about money. Money. Like that nowadays hospital is a business center for money. And they were not consideing my healthe they tested many. Test like cbc blood ct scan like that i am not able to walk and they are not caring that

Disappointed!

Booked in advance for op consultation, reception staff wrongly entered name, noticed it at later point while waiting for doctor.

Doctor prescribed blood tests, X ray and USG.

Really surprised with their arrangements for these.

First you need to visit counter and ask for token, they will issue token, then you have to wait for your turn, once token is announced, visit counter they will check and raise bill, again need to wait for your turn to collect sample.

Similarly at radiology dept also go n collect token, wait then will raise bill again you have to wait, took one hour + for billing and 2 hour more for test

Even at pharmacy this process continues, wait for token, they will bill, again wait for medicine and pay bill and saw customers shouting and they left without buying medicine.

If you got multiple Checkup, prepare in advance as it's hectic.

Doctors are really good and supportive, but overall it's not worth the brand name,

Due to error in name (their fault) patient was asked to go and correct bill and produce new bill as commanded by X ray dept staff even after pleading them to do the test and rest will done later which they denied.

Their staff made mistake, we corrected it, they could have asked billing team to rectify it or send some one else to get it done, instead of that insisted patient out to bring corrected bill and for that took 10 minute and another 10 minute at que.

Any one visiting hospital for op, please go through these points.

And finally no covid protocol or and test, its too crowded and no restrictions observed other than serving sanitizer at entrance

Disappointed with the service offered.

Do note that they hold best doctors in town and for that its worth.

My aged in-laws were recently admitted to ASTER MIMS, Kannur after testing positive for COVID-19. As we live abroad and the travel restrictions prevented us to be with them, they were left to take care of themselves.
But the manner in which ASTER supported was excellent. The whole process of admission, coordination with doctors, billing and discharge went so smoothly over the telephone.
The highlight of my experience at Aster has been seeing the sincerity and support of the entire staff who took care of my inlaws.
To see the nurses and doctors' pull themselves together to support each other as well as to provide care in these difficult times was gratifying to see.
The logistics team (Ragesh from the front desk, Bhanupriya for billing and Liji / Ancy for insurance) extended immense support, were friendly and understanding of our tough situation throughout.
Having aged parents admitted at the hospital and being unable to reach India was extremely distressing but doctors and ward nurses on-duty had a compassionate and pragmatic approach to my parents and me. They ensured that everything ran smoothly.

It is a great relief for the people from Kannur & Kasargod District, who are seeking better medical facilities within their reach. Visited the hospital emergency last week with in Father in law who had a stroke few months and fully recovered. The patient was exhausted at the time of admission due to diarrhea. We were recommended to take an MRI due to stroke history and we took the MRI around 3 AM in the morning. We had submitted the previous medical records along with the old MRI reports.

We were told that a new stroke has developed in a different area on the brain and the manager on duty said the patient needs to be shifted to ICU on emergency for any chance of recovery. We were pushed to take the patient to MIMS Calicut as they dint have the vacant bed in ICU MIMS Kannur. As it was 4 AM in the morning, we decided to take the patient to Calicut without a second thought. They recommended that we use the ICU ambulance facility.

Upon arrival at the Calicut MIMS, the patient was put in ED until afternoon later shifted to ward even though the sole reason we rushed to Calicut which is 140 kms away from our home was for the ICU. TODAY, we were informed they don't see any traces of a new stroke and whatever they see is from the stroke that happened 3 months ago.

I am very unhappy with the service cos
1. Pressing the panic button without proper diagnosis and pushing us to take a decision.

Good hospital with well equiped infrastructure.
One major drawback is if you are getting admitted, it will take hours to get room, especially for pregnency delivery cases. Has to wait till late evening to get room alloted.

Facilities are really amazing here, but for Common people the expense will be bit high. And it's really a golden spot for an hospital very easy to reach.
