IMPORTANT: A Nightmare at Bamboo Creek Resort - Life-Threatening Negligence!

Please read before thinking about going to this resort

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at Bamboo Creek Resort, and I must say it was a complete disaster. The most egregious aspect of our stay was the utterly appalling maintenance of their so-called "viewpoint tower, " which not only ruined our vacation but also put our lives at risk.

My biggest concern, however, was the Viewpoint Tower itself. This so-called attraction is nothing short of a death trap. The tower was rickety, with obvious signs of neglect and disrepair. When my wife stepped on it, It creaked, broke and made her fall from that height which is around 12-15 ft making me fear for my spouse life which causing her lumbar spine injury, who went through that trauma and now there is no power on her lower limbs. I couldn't believe that the resort would allow guests access to such a hazardous structure causing lifetime risk.

To make matters worse, the resort's safety measures were practically non-existent. There were no emergency evacuation plans or even the support staffs were not visible in the common areas, and I couldn't help but feel vulnerable in case of an emergency.

Resort people have made no effort to ask about how my wife is who is going through such a pain after the incident at their resort and zero support was made which happened due to their bad infrastructure.
What kind of people are they and what we should call them?

In conclusion, Bamboo Creek Resort's blatant negligence when it comes to maintaining their viewpoint tower is not only disappointing but life-threatening. I would strongly advise against staying at this resort unless they take immediate and drastic measures to rectify this dangerous situation. Our vacation was ruined, and our lives were put at risk, all because of their utter lack of care and responsibility.

It's heaven on earth. This nature site gives you peace of mind.it was an excellent time spend in between the nature earth. Excellent location with loads of greenery with actual vegetables flowers fruits. A QUIET N PEACEFUL RESORT

Worst experience from the resort and learned do go through reviews.
While check in if difficult to ensure the staffs because no uniforms,
Then entered in to the room, pillows, blankets and curtains are visibly dirty.
No activities as mentioned in the booking sites and totally waste to climbs up to the view point.
Only you can see a damaged tower

Spacious, clean and cosy rooms with all amenities. Good food. Great hosts. Excellent place to get away from it all.

Seems like reviews are posted by hotel staffs. Do not book on the basis of the reviews. It is such a haunting place in the jungle with no public around

Hi Friends, Recently I have visited the Bamboo Resort in Wayanad on 27 Oct 2022. Everything worst especially food and services etc. So i will not suggest anybody go to this resort. One more important point road also worst condition.
Problems: 1. Tv is not working.
2. Water is not flowing in the bath room
3. Hot water is not coming
4. Unexpected food: Lemon rice and parota for Rs. 400 per person.
Other few more problems. I will not refer anybody especially family.

I would say, this is one of the best places that I have stayed. This resort has very limited rooms and it's nothing like any other resorts rooms. The rooms are placed far apart from each other and there is a lot of privacy. This resort itself is situated in huge area and there is a walking trail around the resort. One doesn't have to go anywhere and enjoy the stay within the resort. A river flows just at the start of the resort and we stayed in a room facing the river. Since we were in the peak monsoon, we could hear the beautiful sound of river all day long. The food was very homely and tasty, however one doesn't have many options. This resort is quite far and interior from other tourist places but that's the whole fun of vacation. Definitely a place to visit. I might even go here once again.

Need little maintenance, good for people looking for peaceful stay with out mobile range and inside dense cofee plantation.
I personally liked the resort.

It's a nature resort surrounded by lush green and a stream. Although the water of the stream is muddy, it's great to sit and enjoy the nature talk. Natural pool had a poorly maintained boat which I don't think was running. Rooms were spacious but had cockroaches. They must maintain it well. Food options were limited since the visitors were limited but taste was ok. Staffs are very friendly.

Best place to hang out with family. Customer service and room service are excellent. Ambiance is good, safe for family stay. Roads to this place are very bad.

The location is best but the facilities and services are not at oll gud we did not get anything to eat

For anyone who prefer Solitude and Peace of mind along with homely food and a good host in an affordable price, this is the exact destination for a good long stay.

Booked for 3 nights and left after the first night. Horrible mismatch in promise vs experience. The listing is completely incorrect. Unlike mentioned: there is no restaurant, food availability severely limited to an overpriced subpar quality external restaurant (orders need to be given before 2, rs 200 for auto delivery and food packed in newspaper), no continental breakfast, 2 well natured boys function as housekeeping, Bell boy, cook, server! Or room was lined with dust, cobwebs were in every corner and empty mosquito repellent provided even after request for new one! The room was not even properly cleaned and sanitized before allocating. The so called boat is not there as well. This place has created marketing to make you feel like it's a luxury retreat whereas at 5k per night the experience is of staying at a 500rs per night cheap motel. Basically got fooled by marketing into choosing this property. Spoilt or weekend. Blacklisted by me for any travel.
P. S. Access road to the property and the parking is a nightmare for non 4WD SUV cars.

Cottages situated in a coffee plantation. Nice stay and good ambiance. Good service by the manager and other staffs.

Boating fishing and other activities were temporarily closed. Pre book in case you are planning to have dinner from the place. Provides a great view and peace of mind. A great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Plantation is best to be visited before harvest time. Provides a small trekking option with a view from highest point.

Not worth for the money.had a bad experience of booking for 4 members and later change to two but still they charged for 4 member package.

Accommodation had a lot of safety and comfort issues with pests and spiders. However the location was beautiful. The nature bath and the view point were amazing!

Here at Bamboo Creek Resort, it is not only an oasis of tranquillity (you are in the middle of a wild plantation which looks like a jungle), the staff here makes you feel wonderful and all the delicious meals (the best we had so far in India) are prepared with the spices, herbs & leaves and fruits from the property. When we arrived at 4 pm, we first had a walk through the property with the owner who showed us many things. We just ate from the trees, bushes and roots following things: At least 6 varieties of chilies, fresh coriander, cloves, curry leaves, pepper, turmeric, ginger, lemons, gooseberries, something similar to oranges but with a different taste, leaves with a lemon taste and a few other plants and fruits which names we don't know (even the staff didn't know - but of course edible). Also growing here: pineapples, coconuts, grapefruits, mangos, jackfruits (more than 10 varieties), bananas, coffee, cocoa, cinnamon trees, 14 varieties of bamboos and more.and all organic, they don't put any pesticides, they just let it grow the way it comes. At the beginning, we planned to stay 2 nights and finally we stayed 6 nights. There are plenty of things to do in the region and the Bamboo Creek Resort organizes trips if you need to. The staff gives you good tips what to do etc. I highly recommend this place for nature lovers and people who love to eat healthy (organic) and tasty food prepared with love.
In the region there are also plenty of things to do/see: for example, Edakkal Caves (with carvings up to 5000 years old), Phantom Rock, Karapuzha Lake, Sultan Bathery city, Safari tours (where you can see elephants, tigers if you are lucky and many other animals), Soochipara Waterfalls, Chembra Peak at 2100m AMSL. This region is just beautiful and you don't get bored. Perfect for people looking for adventure and for nature lovers.

Very calm and serene place. Only few cottages in the 8-hectare plantation site, therefore each cottage has good privacy. There is an elevated cottage facing the river called the tree house. Boating, view point, etc available on site. The resort is a bit tough to reach as we have to travel a few kilometers through small roads. But overall, it was a good experience

Service is poor. Facilities doesn't justify the amount they are charging. Limited food options. They are even charging for the extra water bottles. Overall it is not worth the money one has to pay. There are far better options available even at lower price point. Road to the resort is narrow and is in pathetic condition.

Serene and calm place with wonderful service. Ideal place for relaxation. You'll get and opportunity to spend a day in coffee plantation. There is a view point, which you would love spending much time enjoying the breeze and mountain view.

I stayed at Bamboo Creek resort for 2N/3D and they exceeded expectations in every way. Let me break down the review into different categories,

Service - At first we booked this place and was uncertain to travel due to Covid. We were promptly issued a credit that we could use for future. The staff were very courteous through out and Mr. Arun was very pleasant and prompt at taking care of all our needs

Location & Access - It is right after Sultan Bathery when you enter from Bandipur. The roads are good. Since the property is closer to a stream, it is quite deep into the plantations. However it is easily accessible by car even though the drive is steep. They also have parking on the premise. It is a private property completely cut away from the town.

Rooms - They have 3 Plantation view, 3 Stream View, Tree House and a family room. Whichever room you choose, it is quiet spacious and has a great view. The rooms come with TV, balconies and huge bathrooms. The bed was quite comfortable and clean.

Food - Since this place is away from the town, you will have to drive 6-8 kms for restaurants. There are very good ones available on the Sultan Bathery road. However, the food at Bomboo Creek itself is very good. They serve Kerala dishes that you may never have heard off and all prepared fresh from produce from the Plantation.

A very calm location for peace of mind.
The staff and managers were very friendly and treated us like their own family.
U could take a nature bath in the stream that flows through the resort.
The only drawback was the food, it was not great, but since the staff there was so polite they have promised to make the food better and even contacted the owner to resolve the issue.
I'm pretty confident that all of u will be able to relax at this pleasant place.

BAMBOO CREEK is the best resort that I have ever stayed and I enjoyed every minute of my trip and I would give all the credits to the resort. Right from arranging cab for pick up and drop, hospitality, choice of food, location, scenic views, and the list will go on. On top of everything, the cost was so affordable. I completely enjoyed my stay and I will visit quite often

Most enjoyable trip. It was such a delight staying there because of the host. They were so amazingly courteous, and enthusiastic in serving us and making sure that we are extremely comfortable.

The resort itself has many pathways for going on short hikes. So there’s lots to do and explore inside the resort itself. There are about 4 different paths you can take.

The cottages are beautiful and spacious. Our cottage overlooked a stream.

What I love best is that pets are allowed here. My Labrador had a very enjoyable time.

The food was excellent. Very homely meals. They served it up at our cottage everyday.:)

They are also very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this resort to everybody!

Really calm and serene place. If you are looking for digital detox, this is the place. The estate is lush.

We stayed in the tree house and it was really worth the experience. Just downhill was a small stream nestled amongst a canopy of bamboo trees.

The food was really delicious although a little pricey 500rs per person. Overall it was really a nice short vacation.

Bamboo Creek @ Wayanad is fantastic. The property is admist nature and you are away from all city noise. Sound of stream flowing, crickets makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. It was natural stream, small lake, boating etc. It is fun place for you to visit with family. I enjoyed it.

The complete silence. This place is very calm. If you need to enjoy the silence, green shades around please visit this place. You will not be covered by the mobile network. So please note it. But the food quality is not good and enjoyable. You will see only Kerala type of varieties served, for sure the taste and quality is bad. The road connectivity is fair.

Beautiful place to stay with family.the best is that you can enjoy the river water gushing sound all the time.

Very Pleasant place. Good Food, Good Service. Nice Plantation site of Coffee Orange etc. Pond Fecility for Fishing and Boating. They Cook and Serve there only Cultivated organic Veggies Fruits Meat & Spices. They Currently installing a High Speed Internet & Mobile Range equipment for the requirements of Customer Communication Support. Due to high range area the place is very low Internet Connectivity and Bad Internet. From December 2019 onwards "Bamboo Creek" will be 100% Perfect pleasure partner for their guests at all the levels.

Immersion in nature and calmness with great food and hospitality

If you love greenery, calmness and nature, this is one of the best options in the whole South India I would say. You can spend two full days relaxing and enjoying the resort atmosphere and surrounding without any need to go out. In fact I did the same. There are sightseeing too in Wayanad. The best things about Bamboo creek are that it is inside a coffee/aracanut plantation and it has less no of rooms. The place itself is so silent away from the town and just seven cottages, that too, with good space between them (except two plantation view cottages) retains the calmness except those lovely natural sounds made by the water stream, birds and insects. The pond is another beauty and the restaurant overseeing both pond and stream serves truly amazing food. Every time I left restaurant, I was worried not having enough space in my stomach to eat some more. Most of the vegetables and fruits used are from their own farm which made the food very special along with a magical touch from the chefs. Juices made from the home grown fruits were even tastier. Hospitality - it is one of the best - Shine and Shyam kumar were very kind and helpful. Shine was kind enough to take me through the whole resort, showing and explaining me about all the different plants and trees in the resort. There is papaya, guava, lemon, fig, passion fruit, avocado, banana and many more including some vegetables. There was boating in the pond. I was unlucky in one thing that I couldn't take bath in the stream due to the brownish water at the time of my visit. While sitting in the dark in my balcony and enjoying the random natural sounds, I saw a creature come and sit on the tree opposite to me but couldn't identify it due to darkness. Then I was amused to realise that it was peacock because Shine was telling me that peacocks dwell in the resort (and also snakes are absent because of that). Rooms are really spacious and clean. Some may feel the cost of food to be high. 500 rs for lunch/dinner and 350 rs for breakfast but it is buffet and unlimited. It will be difficult for elders (but wonderful for others) to walk from restaurant to rooms other than family room as the stone pathway is climbing and amidst trees/plants. In total, it is a stay that I will remember for my life and will be for you too.

A very beautiful, serene resort. Has about 6 cottages and and couple of rooms. Has a beautiful stream running through it. The rooms are very nicely done. Mostly wood and all. Very clean. The food is awesome. Local cuisine mostly. The service and people are just beyond words. The approach road is a little messy now. But once you get in, don't go anywhere.

Resort is so close to nature. Cottage is in the midst of plantation. Food served was good. Water stream (creek) through the resort which makes it stand out. There a pond inside the resort where u can boat. Perfect place to relax with family and friends.
