It is better not to eat. If you go to a sadha shop, you can get at least curries that are good. Sambar Pulissery all in a small digging bowl. A simple meal is 120 rupees, go to a small shop and eat a meal for 70 rupees and get a meal with fried fish.

It's quite sad to see the decline of Saugandhika Hotel. (Now bayleaf restaurant) from its glorious past. In my younger days this was one of the Finest food serving restaurant existed in Haripad-Kayamkulam stretch. Food taste, quality and quantity has gone from bad to worse nowadays. So today me and family went together after a movie for lunch and this is how it unfolded.
1) Veg meals was one of the Finest in my younger days, now it's proper garbage without any good varieties of dishes and poor quality rice. (Couldn't take the image)
2) Fish curry meals over priced @ Rs 240 with a small piece of fish which is a daylight robbery. There's 120rs difference between veg meals and fish curry meals.
3) Fried Rice was trash.absolute trash.u could find out by seeing the below picture.
4) Ckn 65 - trash no. 2.can't believe they can't even serve a decent enough ckn 65
5) chilly ckn - one and only decent item among the ones ordered.
6) Inattentive and unfriendly staffs

So that was my final visit at Bayleaf restaurant. Hope the management sees this and do something to revive our old Saugandhika. Disappointed and disheartened! People who reads this please don't get fooled by the number of vehicles parked in the parking lot as this area doesn't have any other good resturant.

Good food. Good ambience. But the restaurant is upstairs and might be difficult for old age people. Good parking space.

Worst place to dine in or take away.
The curry don’t have taste, and it’s not authentic dishes as well. They just combine some ingredients and give it a name. For take aways they charge parcel charges for each item plus the bag to put all the items. I wouldn’t mind paying parcel charges if it was a reusable box. This is a plastic cover for curry and paper roll for parrotta.
Service is as bad as the dishes. The waiters argue among themselves during service. Never again visiting this place.

Food was burnt and service was horrible. The person who took the order forgot the items and came to us 2 or 3 times for same order. There weren't much people to serve at that time and we had to wait too long also.

Spacious & well aired facility with ample parking near the restaurant itself easily accessible along the NH-47 adjacent to KSRTC Haripad bus stand

Very bad customer service. Least bothered to ask customers what they want instead treating them like beggers.

One of the best hotel in Nangiyarkulangara. Hotel is clean and tidy. They serve very tasty food at reasonable prices. I recommend this awesome hotel to all.

Very poor service. Food was really bad, delay in taking nd delivering order i ordered chicken and got Gobi instead.very disappointed with the restaurant.

Decent place for a mid-journey stop. Big car parking area. Reasonably good food. Modest rates for food. Courteous service. The bill does not go through the roof.

Panneer butter masala Rate is too high, didn't checked the rate before rate.but taste wise good. Service is good.thanks.

Staff unprofessional. Excessive delay in food service. No one cares. Request for two things never served even after reminding 4 times. Water was leaking from roof directly in food. Leaking roof on multiple places.

Avoid this place evenif it looks flashy. Disappointed.not recommended.

Think before entering to this restaurant. Pathetic restaurant. Arrogangt cashier. Very poor response for the questioneiers. Better to choose any other place to eat.

One my favourite spot. The best hotel blended with quality food, the best ambience, affordable and fare pricing.

But still now a days.their food taste and quality is becoming poor. Need to care about it.

24*7 restaurant in haripad, Bayleaf is much preferred than other restaurants for its standard and hygienic food.thali meals which is available for 80rs with one piece chicken fry, fish curry etc, and buffet breakfast for 100rs cant be given by any others

Once we were forced to have food in this hotel since all others shut down that day. We asked for menu and they said they have only 2 items available. We orderd that and that wasn't really nice.since we are hungry we had it and enquired about the hotel. There wasn't a different response from the local people too. So best not to try.

Thani nadan menu is the main attraction.that doesn't mean that other food is not available. Please provide ramps for elderly and disabled

Parking facility is good, good food, good behavior of staffs, I recommend this restaurant while you travel with your family.

I once travelled to Alappuzha from Kochi and we stopped here for breakfast. Folks take it from me this place gives you awesome buffet that has porotta, chicken curry, dosa sambar and chutney, egg curry and appam along with tea or coffee. And all this for just Rs 100/ person!

You can't find out such a star restaurant in Alappuzha district which serves a delicious meals in an unbelievable rate of Rs. 80/-. Tasty Fish and meat specials are also available in a reasonable rate All vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes are amazing.

It has a Rs200 buffet which is an awesome deal with a small buy good variety of food items. It also has a good view, seating and employees

The mutton Biriyani was satisfying, the gravy associated with the Biriyani was the highlight. The mutton was unfortunately left much to be desired in terms of degree of cooking. Also ordered the karimeen fry. It was fried well but the taste of the fish felt flat. The ambience and ample parking space makes it a good stopping point for travellers

The restaurent was clean and good ambience. We ordered three meals, fish fry and beef fry. The meal was very good. But the beef fry served was old, (surely from the previous day) was smelling from the plate itself. Informed the supplier, he apologized but still charged for it. I don't recommend this place for non vegetarian food.
