Tips to customers
Adventure ride (extra paid) is not really adventurous. Better skip this ride.
Since no shops are there keep medicines, liquidator, snacks with you.
Pre booking auto frm railway station to boathouse is 175rs but normal auto frm boathouse to railway station is just 100rs. Check once before you start

We had one night stay in a 3BHK Golden Castle Houseboat on 28 April 2023. We travelled as a family with 8 people.

I wanted to flag out that the amount the Beautiful Alleppey Houseboat charges and the service provided is not at all satisfactory. We had one bedroom going waste due to Leakages everywhere.

The whole boat was infected with Mice. Mouse even torn our bags. How do we even know that the food provided to us was safe and cooked in hygienic conditions. We requested owner to provide us some concession but all our complaints went on deaf ear. They took all advance beforehand only.

I don't recommend this boat service for anyone who wants a proper hygiene travel and who expects good value for their money. I am also attaching here the photos of leakages and our bags with holes.

Completely disappointed with the boat.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the mismanagement at Beautiful Alleppey Houseboat. We are disappointed that we had to endure this unpleasant and hazardous condition.

We travelled on this boat in April 23 as a family and returned with disappointment. We kindly requested Thomas Sir multiple times regarding the issues but didn't receive any relief.

As a tourist, we have a right to a habitable and safe living environment, and the presence
of rat is unacceptable. Not only it is a health hazard, but it has also caused significant damage to our personal property.

Please understand that we had paid charges in advance. However, the condition of living environment had become unbearable. We someone managed to stay a night there just because we had no other option as whole advance was taken beforehand.

Just taking advantage of tourists and looting our money is not expected. Will request other people to research in depth about the services before going ahead with the booking.

Called to find out details of service. Talked nicely and politely. Wanted to go ahead with booking. Ignored calls for 3 days, and no reply on whatsapp either.

We booked day cruise luxury house boat on 17/05/22. They send very old run down. One of the worst house boat. No viewing deck. Top floor is enclosed. Room not clean. We had very bad experience. Please don't take this company boat.

The boat house is good however the staff is not at all friendly. Too rigid and the owner is literally using abusive words when we told him about the staff and asked us to pay extra as well. If your not from kerala, then please don't go cause they won't let you go until you tip them for their shifty service. Extremely bad experience and wasn't that good either.

Worst experience of life I booked the houseboat and wait 7500 rupees for a house boat and that was for my marriage anniversary which turn out to be a big nightmare they showed us the picture which was a beautiful house boat but they gave us boat which was dirty smelly smelly blankets and uncomfortable bed. Washroom was like public toilet nobody can use the staff were not pleasant the food was terrible I think they have bring something from local shop and the feeders they did not cook anything it was so so terrible the nobody can have it. I have clearly mentioned that I need seafood in the lunch but they said if one they said first they agree but when we reach there they said if you want seafood you have to buy your own seafood which is 600 per kg I am sure they have their commission from them the food what they gave us was very limited quantity if you need extra carry your extra vegetable they said no we have only this much this is how this is the quantity that you can get i will never recommend this houseboat to anybody.

I can't say for the entire service but the Karunya boat was NOT at all a good experience. Staff was rigid in everything we were requesting. "No we can't do this, no we don't have this" despite we paid a good price for the boat. Not recommended, there are other better services available out there! And they should listen to what a guest says not do what's convenient to them!

Houseboat experience is entirely different from all others. Food is superb. Interesting place to visit again.

Shahji is really doing an outstanding job. As requested, our lunch was served on banana leaves.
Every single dish was delicious. Candle light dinner and breakfast was very well arranged as well.

Our 2BHK houseboat was very nice. The staff, Chef and Captain were very good people, friendly and helpful. All the meals served were very tasty. My family had a very good time. Definitely recommended.

A great day in a floating house, the houseboat. The communication with Mr. Thomas helped us to understand the details of houseboat. He is very genuine and gave us all the information which makes our trip very much interesting.
The staffs are friendly and especially the cook is really good and prepared us with a tasty traditional meal.

Do not miss a chance to do a houseboat trip in beautiful Alleppey. It is really beautiful with good houseboat and travel in this houseboat is very much recommended.

There is a kitchen on the rear side and al food is preparing their. So we will get good food. Do not do a houseboat with thinking of luxury. There is nothing luxury in this but have all kind of needed facilities and amenities.

My booking was with a different company, but due to some mechanical problem, they gave us the houseboat of Beautiful Alleppey. So I thought of writing a review here.

The boat is well kept, the staffs are good, tasty, fresh and traditional food. One of the best relaxing day in our life from the busy schedule. Had a great time with our kids all together this trip made us more valuable.

Best for a family like us. Nothing to do in the evening after the boat stops and that is the best time, we played small games together and my daughter said it was her best day as we played with her for a lot of time after a long period.

The houseboat crew is very cooperative for helping us in our small needs.

Thank for all the team to make the trip really good.

Our travel date 27/07/19: We received very good service from this houseboat and my family like the trip very much. I choose this service after checking with lot other and the way they responded to our questions make us book this houseboat. Whatever they said was right and the hospitality provided by the staff in the boat was very much good.

I feel Boating from hear is nice. Jetty is re maintained after the flood. Good space and parking is also free there.
Pick boats independent for our use or we can join a boat with multiple travellers.
11 am to 5 pm approximately cost will be ₹1000 per person including welcome drink lunch and tea with snacks.
Normally its reasonable and negotiations also possible.
Done a trip which feel wonderful for my family.

Must visit destination in Kerala. Houseboat is best place to relax with friends and family. Food available is on fixed menu, we do not have a choice. But food provided was good and enough of all. Freshly cooked inside the boat itself. I will give a 5 * if there is a food choice like in hotels.

Behaviour of cook was so very rude.no cleanliness and bathroom was also not clean.owner didn't receive the Phone after getting the money.

Great trip in one bedroom houseboat with my wife. The politeness of the staffs is very much appreciable. Whenever we asked something they do or try to do whatever they can possible.
Do not expect a luxury stay or a lot of facilities in a normal houseboat.

The houseboat having enough space for 2 of us. It is having a sitting area, a bedroom, and a kitchen, The food preparing in this kitchen, so we can have freshly prepared food. We enjoyed the tasty food in this houseboat. Love this such a beautiful backwater in Alleppey.

Of the entire travel through the Gods own country this backwater cruise was the most memorable one. Especially the crew.very friendly. Will choose your service during the next visit also.

Very terrible experience. The rooms were dirty, bathroom was also dirty. Behavior of the old man was very bad. He even wanted us to buy fish from the shop he knew so that he could get some commission.
Complete waste of money

A wonderful weekend organised by Beautiful Alleppey, my family had a wonderful time. Staff were very polite and helpful. Nothing to complain. Fish fry and banana fritters were mouth watering. Will defenitely choose your service only when we visit again.

I heard the boat house will be good for vacations but my bad time I feel so bad Bcoz the boat is too costly and they are not well

JCT operates good Boathouses here. Nice friendly staff, good food. Check-in time is 12pm. They ride till 5 pm. (Dont take ayurvedic massages on the way in backwaters. Those massage centres charge more and are not clean and healthy). Boat docks and stops over night. You can visit Aleppy beach after they dock. One can get auto (RS 400) for to and fro from Beach with one hour waiting. One more thing about Boathouse is they start AC from 7 pm till morning 7) Till that time one has to tolerate humidity. Rooms is boat house are not clean and maintained properly Happy holidays.

What a wonderful boat service.very beautiful boat and nice staff.they took care of us very well.hospital was remembering.food was amazing and very taste.boat was offered for very cheap price and nice stay.only con was weather and we felt really hot. We booked Two Bedroom Super Deluxe Houseboat Id: LSR 02 through Beautiful Alleppey Houseboats.

We felt cheated. The operator changed the route than what was promised, and covered a shorter route. The boat was running very slow, and it was very frustrating to see other houseboats overtaking our boat and covering longer distance during the same time. Finally the boat brokedown on second day leaving us waiting in the middle of the water for more than two hours. They just cut short the trip and dropped us at the nearest point.

Though overall cleanliness was good, but there were lots of lizards inside the rooms.

The crew members onboard did not provide any information until asked leaving us guessing what was happening. The two starts given are for the cook for the nice meal.

When the feedback was shared with the operator, Mr. Thomas arrogantly blamed me for my ignorance on how houseboat business works. He was not even apologetic for the inconvenience caused to us due to breakdown of his houseboat.

Now a days houseboat food also is not that much good. They lost their traditional way of cooking and I can able to see cooks are not from kerala, so its impact the food taste too

I am very happy to choose this houseboat. They provide us an excellent service with mouth watering traditional Kerala food. The best food on our Kerala tour. The houseboat is decently maintained.

Enjoyed each and every minutes with the beauty of backwaters and traditional Kerala Lunch. Boat is well maintained ans staff are good to assist us. Not trained as hotels or resorts. But served us in a better way with their limitations. I appreciate the hospitality. If we understand the limitations in a houseboat we all will enjoy it very well. Do not make a high expectations and luxury.

I first ever family trip.heard lot about Alleppey backwaters and its beauty. Now i experienced in this houseboat service. Was very relaxing in a traditional way which is far way from luxury. Had a good time with family and kids where very happy. If you are in a mood to relax, the houseboat trip in Alleppey is a good choice.

Allepey houseboat is probably the better things of all the things to do in over hyped tourist place Kerala.the food at this beautiful houseboat was homely and really tasty. The crew was helpful and the boat ride was good too. Bathroom could have been cleaner

First of all the boat and the food was good. But what made me to give this review is the rude behavior of the house boat in charge staff. My actual check-out time was 9 but due to the parking conditions initially they informed me that i need to check out by 8.30 and i accepted. But suddenly by 8.00 am they urged me to check-out. I just asked for 10 mins to prepare and check-out but the staff were very rude and used some abusive words and showed very disturbing faces. If they have informed me that we have to check out by 8 am i would have been ready but they changed the time for their convenience. So we immediately left the boat. Though the other services were good this incident ruined everything. So they have to teach their staff to behave properly with the guests. Hope this is clear.

I am writing this from the boat itself. This is our first trip after the marriage on the valentines day. The trip was fabulous and romantic. The staffs are really nice and served us authentic tasty home like food. We're worried about the safety before checking in. But once the houseboat started and talked with the staff we felt very safe and secure. Thank you for giving us a good stay. Now the morning cruise started and we are about to check out soon with good experience.
