Though this is a very small place and has limited capacity for seating. They serve one of the best Chaats, North Indian foods, and Bengali sweets in town. All these were pretty amazing and had the quantity for the price we pay. Their kathrikadavu outlet is my personal favourite poor parking facility
Had Samosa chat and Sev puri, both were very bad in taste. Couldn't even match the local vendor's chaats and highly priced. Giving one star for the clean place.
If there was option to put 0, would have surely done. I packed Anguri Jamun from there, person lied to me that, its prepared last night. I was fortunate enough to taste it before leaving, its was contaminated. Most type of Jamuns are formed with froth, must be 2 weeks or more old. Per Samosa charged INR 35, is not at all worth it. I regularly go Misthana, which is nearly 1 km away, gives authentic north Indian flavors, but was closed due to renovation is, that's why I tried Bikash Babu Edapally. I have been to Bikash Babu Kathrikadavu, which is better than Edapally outlet. If someone from Management reading this, it's high time to interfere in Edapally outlet or it will close very soon. Also person at counter was arrogant, I shown him mine and took my money back. Anyways not going to pay for contaminated sweets.
The sweets are good. Lassi is also good, tasty n creamy… value for Rs. 75/-…
Chaats are really over-prized. ₹. 75 for 1 plate panipuri (6 pani puris) is too high. Moreover the pani puris are leaking n pani is not retained in panipuri after filling! So the fun of pani puri goes as u get to eat puri without water! I tried this place twice but the leaking of puris was there both the times. I haven’t tried other chaats so cannot say.
Staff is not that good, their attitude makes u feel uncomfortable! Looks like they do not want to serve u well.
Bikash Babu Sweets and Chaats is a famous group of snack chains in Kochi. They serve good verities of chaats and sweets and it is very tasty, well priced, has great quantity and prepared in clean and well-maintained area.
This outlet is located very near Iftar, Edapally Toll Junction. We tried Samoosa Chaat and Pani Poori it was both good, the Raj Kachori Chaat was good and it tasted different and Badam Milk was just okay.
The service of the staff is good, but from the attitude of the staff, it is very evident that they lack training. The dining area was not clean, the customer had to request for cleaning the tables, and they even had broken taps in the washing area.
Parking space is available for bikes and only a very few cars can be parked in front of the building. The overall experience was decent, the food was good but the dining experience needs some improvement.
The taste of sweets (Kaju Katli, Motichoor laddu, Gulab Jamun) was nothing extraordinary for the cost paid. (RS 1600 FOR Kaju Katli, 700/- for Laddu and 42/- per piece of Gulab jamun). The staff is courteous but has significant language barrier. The freshness of the expensive stuff is definitely questionable, as they are slow moving. So if you are not someone with a keen eye you may be picking up stuff a day or 2 days old. It matters because the shelf life of these sweets are short, generally 3-5 days.
Customer Service was average and bad at the counter. All the food we tried didn't have that wow factor we expected and were served cold (Didnt seem fresh). Seatings were okayish and was on the first floor of the shop. As it was in a closed space, it was kind of hot there and AC was not turned on. After asking the staff, they turned it on. Overall, an okayish place.
We r regular customers to bikash sweets. But now the shop is not t all going up to the mark today, We ordered a pani puri, samosa chat and chola batura.for panipuri filling was not t all inside.when we asked atleast a bit more Sev the staff said we give this much only.now comes samosa chat.the quantity is so less now a days.water was given but no cups.no one to attend.kindly check on the situation
In terms of Sweets, it's a better choice who loves sweetness the Most. Other than sweets, all are not up to Mark, price is also high compared to local shops/roadways
Situated at Edappally toll near to Ifthar hotel. You will get some wonderful sweets from here. The rates are also not so high. They do have lessys and also cold products along with North Indian snacks like Pani Puri etc They also do have dine in options. Same is available in the food delivery apps too
One of the best places to enjoy North Indian sweets, chaats and much more. Authentic Bengali sweets in Kochi. Paneer Jalebi with rabdi is a personal favourite. A bit pricy but the taste is as good as it gets.
Firstly, please keep staffs who at least know the basic Malayalam so that customers can clarify their doubts. We ordered Basket chaat but the taste was well below average.
The worst chat i ever had in the city Dehi puri was ok, others are utter waste, please don't have pani puri from here, they have added some colour in that.
Paneer jalebi is a must try. Different varieties of North Indian snacks, chaats and short eats are available here. Bengali, north indian and dry fruit sweets are also very popular. Mango/ strawberry lassi also available. Dinein area is a bit congested.
Always hear about this place as one of the best shop to have north Indian snacks. So that tried my favourite Pani puri from their outlet in Edappilly near lulu mall. Panipuri was good but felt like the staffs are not much attentive or soft spoken. Felt a bit discomfort from their attitude. The food is good that's it.
Awful experience. Very rude behaviour. None of the items mentioned on their board was available. Food is just so-so. My wife and i on the 10th of December 2021 at approximately 11: 50 am wanted to have paav baaji and chats.which they didn't have.in an air of indifference and an attitude of 'take it or leave it' they said they had only sweets. OK. So we wanted to checkout done lassi and sweets.my wife opened the refrigerator and the man at the counter rudely grabs the door and almost shuts it at her face not giving her the opportunity to choose from their wares. We ignored all that and bought stuff worth 246 rs. My wife demanded to know the name of the man at the counter and he refused to give it. Immediately another comes up and enquires what the problem is. My wife starts explaining in English due to her lack of fluency in Hindi to which the impudent man tells her to speak in Hindi. Silent upto this moment I lost my temper and spoke to him in Malayalam reminding him that his shop was in Kerala. He understood that this wouldn't end well for him and apologized.but still didn't reveal their names. The samosas were just fine. I had had better. The lassi wasn't fresh. We went there expecting an exotic experience and left with a bad taste in the mouth and heart.
Not everyone coming here knows Hindi. Better to have a staff knowing a word in Malayalam. Seems to be like I have been served leftovers after Diwali. Awful taste and difficult part is to convince the staff standing here. Bad experience this time.
One of the very few vegetarian options in Kochi. Cheese Vada Pav was amazing. Loved the Batura and sweets as well. Worth every dish. There's no parking space, better park in metro parking area or lulu mall.
Bikash Babu Sweets, Edapally Toll, Opposite to Pittappilly Agencies. This is the first time I'm visiting this outlet of Bikash Babu. Small outlet with 3-4 tables. We ordered a Chole Bhature Combo which had, 1 plate of chole Bhature with 2 jilebis, 1 Gulab Jamun and 1 Badam Milk too. Which costed us Rs. 260/-. Consistency of the Taste of foods must be appreciated. I love the Chole Bhature from Them. I recommend this to everyone.
This is the Edapally outlet of Bikash Babu sweets shop offer authentic Bengali sweets as well as chats. It's located near Toll Junction. Went there in the evening to have some chats. Tried pani puri and samosa chat. Both were good. The other day tried kachori chat and some sweets. Food is delicious. They accept upi payment. Small place upstairs for dine in. Ambience is nothing special
I am a regular customer at Bikash babu Sweets and had high opinion on its quality. Yesterday I bought a malpau rabadi and it was a dissapointment. It had a stale taste. Pls don't compromise on your qulaity.
Offers a variety of items. Clean and affordable. You get typical North Indian Street food. Right at the heart of edapilly. A different experience in Kochi. If you love North Indian cuisine, it is a must visit to try out the different explosions of flavours in your mouth. Quality Street food is something you get in very few places.
Its a north Indian sweet shop located near to Lullu mall kochi. Tried samosa and jalebi. Samosa was small and was not hot, even though person said they take fresh and stock remains till night 9PM. Cost 35 Rs. Well in North India samosa from haldiram wont cost more than 20rs. Taste was just ok ok. May be because it was not fresh.
Jalebi again was not hot but ok ok. Over all when a sweet shop is charging high price they have to make sure that taste should be very good and it should be hot and fresh. Size of samosa also matter when for a single samosa they charge 35.
I recently visited the shop and the staff was really rude. They literally started to fight with me when I asked them about my order for which I have paid. I must say they are loosing their concern for customers. Before they were like customers are boss and now the staff behaves like customer can wait and can be served with minimum quality of service. The only good thing happened is the youngest staff there said sorry to me for what happened but I could see he was scared if his seniors would listen him saying sorry. If I ever visit the shop again it will be only because of that staff.
Tried many items from here. Loved their motichur laddoo and gulab jamun. Assorted chaat was not that great. Prices are bit high. Their service was good. Parking space is very limited.
Sweets are great.if u are a fan of bengali sweets the right place in town.but other stuff all are just waste of time.tried some chats over here.i wish i should not have orderd tjem. It was so pathetic and i lost my love towrds chat.guys do what u are at best.in selling sweets.
Easily accessible, parking facility available, choice of sweets, chats & Lassiz. Nice seating arrangements and well maintained area with good classic songs playing in the background.
The ambience is simple but you forget it once the tasty food goes into your tummy. Vada pav and mango lassi are my go to items when i got here. Was disappointed with the panipuri though.
Delicilous sweets! Price is a bit high compared to other small sweet shops, ike one gulab jamun (big one) costs 40 rupees, but its yummy! Pav bhaji and chats are also good.
This place has 2 branches in Kochi and this branch is close to Lulu mall. You can walk from the Lulu and this is on main road. There are snacks, chat, chai and sweets. The famous Raj kachori chat is 80 rs. It has both ac and non AC sections. The AC section of seating is on the top. This places is a must try in Kochi
Not much of a good experience at edapally centre. First time i went i had pani puri and samosa chaat. Both were good. Went there today, it was very bad. Ordered samosa chaat and bhel puri.samosa chaat was very sweet.too much.bhel puri was too dry. To feeling. Could not finish. The kadavanthra outlet provides more tasty chaats. To my knowledge, samosa chaat should always be less sweet in taste and should be a little spicy. But.alas.it was like having dahi balla. Even informed the counter.
