Birds Murmur Camp, Thattekkad

A perfect place for camping and adventure. As the name suggests, the place is filled with the chirping and murmuring of birds. The place was so calm and peaceful. There are many activities like bamboo rafting and games like carroms, badminton. My personal favourites were kayaking and swimming (with all safety measures and a trained guide). The food and accommodation was just awesome. The staff are courteous and well trained in all respects. I definitely suggest this place for those looking for fun and adventure

Nestled on the banks of Edamalayar river, Birds murmur is a treat for nature enthusiasts! It was the perfect getaway for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. The river and forest across the camp is a sight to behold. All the activities - kayaking, bamboo rafting, swimming etc.are carried out with utmost safety. The staff are always ready to assist and guide you. There were enough kid friendly activities to keep the little ones engaged as well. Service was exceptional and each of the food items were lip-smacking. The tented cottages were clean and well equipped. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be away from the chaos of the city and experience nature. Thanks to the Birds Murmur team for giving us a memorable experience that we will cherish forever.

Beautiful location and staffs are very warm and welcoming. There are also many activities to choose from. They arranged a surprise candlelight cake cutting and dinner on the raft which was an absolutely amazing experience.

I recently stayed at Birds Murmur Camp in Thattekad and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The resort is located in a beautiful natural setting and the accommodations were comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.

There were plenty of activities to keep me busy, including bird watching, nature walks, kayaking, Bamboo rafting, dart, Badminton etc. The guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making the experience even more memorable. I especially enjoyed the kayaking in the early morning.

Overall, I highly recommend Birds Murmur Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in nature with plenty of activities to enjoy. The staff and facilities were excellent and I would definitely consider returning in the future.

What an experience to stay at such a beautiful location. All the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, looked after, and part of their family. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble.

It was a meaningful experience to visit this place. The beautiful greenery really caught our eyes. Our family and our family friends had fun playing board games and archery. Provided us with a lot of fun activities and the tents look pretty aesthetic.

After lots of deliberation I selected this property to stay put in Thattekad. The location is amazing, beautifully put up next to the banks of Periyar and with lush mountains in back drop. Sensible and attentive host. The tea/ coffee and snacks that was served were authentic to kerala. They switched on the AC much before we arrived so we stepped into really cool tent. The place is spic and span. Everything is laid out properly and instructions and guidance is clear. The dinner was superb and was pocket friendly. We couldn't kayak (complimentary for guests) in the river since the water flow was fast. For a reasonable charge they will take you out for bird watching with an experienced naturalist. Although were the only occupants being a weekday the entire property was well lit and illuminated for us. They never billed us for the tea and coffee. Overall a friendly and neat and clean place. The tent was neat, spacious and so beautiful, that i loved it so much at my first sight.
No words to express the sincerity and dedication of the staffs, the food they served was delicious and fresh.
We had a cool bath in the waters of thattekad.

An excellent place for planning your weekend that too withing 50 km from Kochi.

Excellently blend with nature and the tent stay is awesome. The place is kept neat and tidy. The rooms are very spacious and has all the amenities. A bathroom along with a dressing area and having a wardrobe. The amenities are just like a three star stay. And also hot water was available 24×7. In the room there was also a electric kettle along with more than enough bottled waters and tea-coffee packets.

They also provide very good food. The fried rice and chicken was very yummy. Also there are a lot of other activities like indoor archery, carrom, soft ball and darts for spending your time.

If the water in river is calm you can also enjoy rafting and kayaking. Also you can spend time with locals who comes there for fishing using traditional poles.

The highlight of the stay was the view from the tents. The morning view is awesome and also you can try out morning walk or cycling to the nearby plantation. The staff are courteous and the proprietors were very welcoming.

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we are happy that the stay gave us a lot of good memories
