Just an another over hyped social media promoted restaurant. The food tastes good or normal, nothing special. The prices are too high and definitely not worth it. Ambience and service is good, but prices could be reduced a lot.

Nice place, went for a family party. It took some time to get the good but it was good. Nothing was bad.

One of my favourite place. Paal Kappa fish curry and Kizhi porotta are my favourite dishes here.

Good food with best ambiance. Beef varutharachathu was must try item. But there butter nan was soo hard. And all the soup verities are Taste's almost similar. Soup was disappointed

Visited this restaurant tonight on our drive to Trivandrum. The A/c is not great. There is unwelcome music played aloud. There is no much privacy as one may expect. Decor is superb. The menu looked promising. But we as a family was disappointed at the dishes. We ordered porotta, chicken varutharachathu, beef roast, peri peri mexican rolls, sizzling brownie. Most if these lacked taste. The currys seemed to have the same flavour. Chicken was absolutely useless. Beef roast mmm ok to eat, as we were very hungry. The brownie was like burnt metal. My children said it was disgusting. Brownie burnt beyond edible taste.
Apparently they have no experienced chef as one may expect from the ambience. Very poor service too.

I had ordered shavarma through zomato. It was tasty, but a little bit spicy. Overall good item. On time delivery.

Food was good but most of the menu items took a long time in preparation. Had to cancel the fruit salad as kitchen didn't have time to cut fruits. That was disappointing. Excluding that one flaw, it's a nice place to hang out.

I think one year before.or more than that.i had a good review about this restaurant.i used to be a regular customer. I liked beef steak and almost all food, especially the ambience.but two days before we had ordered a parcel.they said will take time about 30 min.also it was a rush hour and we can understand.we said no problem wil wait.after nearly one hour we got our parcel.but the taste and quality was so disappointing.we ordered a beef sandwich and veg sandwich.beef was not properly cooked and the most worse thing was my veg sandwich also contained beef pieces.i was not able to take a pic.truely disappointing.

I am not giving a negative star for this guys.the taste of the foods are not good at all.was finishing food because i dont waste the food.i wont suggest this restaurent for their food.even the mayonaise or kerala parotta was awkward?

It's a small area with limited seating capacity. Food taste is okay. Staff can be grommed well to take it up to the next level

Service werent good as we had a lunch and had to wait atleast 20 minute for a pineapple juice after having the lunch.

For the pricing they have put, food cant be considered worth. We had 3 varieties of BBQ coming by the names Charcoal, Smoky and Peri Peri. TBH, all tasted the same. But their prices differ. Not bad interior. Average service

The restaurant is good with very nice ambiance. The service is also nice with reasonable price. The kanafeh was over sweetened. The sweetness were highlighted badly and it compressed other flavours. Szechuan Chicken noodles were very good and worthy. Overall it was a nice fooding experience. The chicken biriyani was good and shallot beef was very good. The porotta was dry and don't had layers.

Food is just average.
Ambience too is not so much to look forward to.
Waiters don't have the proper training of how to deal with pressure of the rush.they should be caring in attending their tables, on priority basis.
Most uncomfortable chairs I ever sat on, and
they make annoying noise when a guest moves it, it's very disturbing.
And they are not expecting a child to come there are eat among adults, other wise there would be a something that is comforting to kids.

Nice restaurant to hangout. The interior works are so impressive. Good service nd well maintained restaurant. Lots of variety foods available. Perferably go in the evening time. Parking facility is available. Me nd friends tried chicken bhiriyani, Mixed fried rice nd schezwan chicken noodles. The noodles was so disappointing it was so spicy nd was not well cooked. Mixed fried rice nd CB was really awsome. Dont prefer lime juice variety its just waste of money. The wash area is clean but too small. If we order parcel, the packing is perfect

Clean and neat restaurant with good ambience, but food was just average.
Ordered schezwan chicken noodles, friedrice and chilli chicken and some icecream shakes.
Shakes were just ok. Rice, noodles and chillichicken were.

A good place to dine in with family and friends. We had quarter portion of grilled, barbecue and alfam chicken along with afghani chicken and butter naan. Everything tasted delicious. Mint lime was good but wasn’t completely blended. Washroom could have kept better.

Food is amazing, good shawarma, amazing faham, paneer curry was also great and tasty butter naan.one of the best places in thiruvalla.

I ordered a steak here. Seasoningwas good.sauce was also good.but the chicken wasn't cooked well.
And then i ordered a nutella freak shake. It wasn't good at all.the buscuits weren't fresh.i felt like the overall quality of the shake not upto the mark. I was kind of disappointed with it.
As far as the service is concerned.they treat their customers well.
Then the ambience was good.everything else was good too.

Really a disappointing experience. First they bought 3 empty glasses nd never served water not even after we finished our food though we told them to bring water when they bought the glasses. Secondly abt the food: We ordered a bbq. It was so dry nd not well cooked which lead upto another upsetting experience. The mayo was not that good too. The only good thing was the mint chutney. Then we ordered 2 electric lime nd a fresh lime. Well to be frank i couldnt make up any difference between the two as both tasted almost the same even though with an exception in the pricing. Overall a substandard experience.

We ordered chilly chicken and romali rotti the chilly chicken had perfectly cooked chicken but the gravy was somewhat too watery also the romali rotti lacked authenticity

They didn't allow my family to sit inside, even when there was space to accommodate us. And the attitude of the waiters and manager was very very bad. I have had food here before and I genuinely do not understand what's the hype about! Its all these fake insta foodies, food is no good.

Started with starters and all were good. Even the soup was nice. Only issue was with Afghani chicken curry. That was not good. Rest were fine.

I was here with family while I was traveling to kochi. I went here by watching an Instagram video. First of all the attitude of the management and staff is like we are here for free food and they didn't let us sit inside while there was free table we we forced to sit outside area which was very dark like a bar. The seating position was very low not ideal for kids. And after all of this showoff and attitude I got the food which was afgani chicken and kuzhimanthi. And I must say they have no knowledge about Arabic food. Our kid got stomach upset from their food. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food quality is very low.

Super place to get satisfaction of your craving for delicious food. Perfect North Indian taste of all such items. There is no proper seating arrangements so the best option is to takeaway. They have one room inside where billing is done but that is always reserved for party.

Its better we go home and make rice porridge and have it. The taste of food not only matters.the attitude who serves the food also matters.very poor hospitality. They made us wait outside even though there were tables free and that shows how their organization is and how the staffs lack interpersonal skills. They behave as they are giving food for free and we the customers are beggars. Never again to that place.

A wide variety of cuisines is available, but the price tag for all the items is high particularly a 'Kunafa' would cost around 350 even though the size is of an average 'Pappad'

I've been an avid enthusiast about Arabic food since I can remember. Possibly because I was born and brought up at K. S. A.

Even when I came back home for my studies, internship etc, fortunately I had Zam Zam at Trivandrum and Charcoal shack, Barbeque nation etc.at Ernakulam.

One fine day, I decided to practice as an advocate back at my hometown ie. Chengannur and been ordering food from Black fort ever since. Never once have I been disappointed and that speaks volumes, now that I think about it.

Albet who owns the restaurant is very much friendly and I'd always suggest you all to ask him about the day's special dish before ordering the regulars.

Remarkably, they make varieties depending upon your need, and the prices are very much reasonable. (Their Chicken Biryani and Fish curry Kappa Combo is beyond words, this would be my suggestion for those who are reading this)

In short, the place is a must try and if you're a foodie soul who craving for some delicious food around a great ambience, there's not much places like Black fort around. Im not writing anything further. Get there, try out for yourself.

Very nice food. Very tasty. There are so many varieties of food that anyone can try. Both veggies and non veggies are available. Therefore suitable for everyone. The rate for every items are so affordable. Dishes are not so expensive. Just go there and try for atleast once. It will be a very good experience. The ambience is also very catchy. The lighting and overall setup of the restaurant is so nice.

My favorite dish is their " Biriyani ". Nd I have no words to say.
Whenever I thought to have a biriyani the one nd only taste rushes to my mind is the taste from here.
I've tried biriyani from other places too.bt my 1st preference is from here.

For all the hype n reviews, it wasn't exactly over the top, rather not even satisfactory. Ordered Half BBQ - Chicken.it was cooked well, but there wasn't a drop of BBQ sauce anywhere in it. Ordered Shwarma, n have to give it to u.it was so dry n tasteless, easily the worst one I ever had. Ambience was good, although I prefer chairs to stools. Please take it constructively.

Nice restaurant with beautiful ambience and they serve a wide variety of cuisines. The food was very tasty and the staff is very helpful. Good parking.

Been here a few times since it's renovation. The ambience and the dining arrangements are great. The alfaham and grills are the specialities here. Tried the romali shawarmas which are really good both in flavour and quality but is more expensive compared to other shawarma places in the vicinity. Tried their burger too but was just average and wasn't worth the buck spent. Also one of the few places in Thiruvalla that serve kunafa which was pretty good.

Ordered a chicken steak through an online food delivery app and it was bad. There were some 7-8 pieces with ball peppers and onion and one brocolli. There was mashed potatoes too and that's it. It costed Rs 350 and not at all recommended. Felt just like some pieces of chicken roasted in sauce.
Had a chicken biriyani from them on an afternoon. It was too spicy and not that good for that reason. We had it in the afternoon and the whole day we were feeling some bad in the stomach. We had only biriyani from them and will not suggest it. The staff was courteous.

The afgani chicken had a bland taste.had no specific taste.it wasn't good at all.
Butter chicken wasn't cooked well, the chicken was too hard and didn't came apart from bones.

Parking is good. The inside space is quite small though. Each table is for 4 people and if you are having a group of people, then you have to rearrange the tables. The food is good especially the BBQS. Lot of special items to try in here. Definitely worth a visit.

It is a wonderful place which is easily accessible and noticeable from the main road. Ambience is good, the lighting and all are superb. The service is great. Coming to the food part, it stands high. Nice and tasty food. A wide variety of dishes are available. Good place for meetup of friends. The price tallies with what we get.

We had Erachichoru, Beef roast and Ghee rice.
Decent quantity. Biriyani was over. Taste was good. We went during lunch time and hence didn't opt for Arabian style grill items for which they seems to be popular for. Many in nearby tables were ordering them.

Food was average, service is very slow. I won't say bad but not good enough. I ordered alfaham and romali rotti, The Alfaham was very dry and what really disappointed me was the service that took more than 30 mins to serve what compared to other places in Thiruvalla which serves the same item within 5 to 10 mins They are mainly concentrating on online food delivery which may have been the reason for the slow service.

A well serving restaurant with very good ambiance. Usually for meeting up friends because of lack of a fine dining nearby we used to travel to Kottayam, this restaurant is definitely a solution for that.

I have brought burgers occasionally and also fried rice from this restaurant, everything was good and tasty.

Really disappointed by the quality of food served. Was really curious to know about the fantastic experience as mentioned in the reviews but was saddened to have a really bad experience. Ordered a cheese fries along with Watermelon Juice and Green Apple Mojito. The watermelon juice was a regular one nothing special about it. The green apple mojito served tasted like mint lime soda, had to replace it and the next time the drink was better but I would'nt say it was best. The cheese fries on the other side was OK and wasn't worth the price. They used melted cheddar cheese slice on top of the fries and moreover the fries weren't seasoned.

Wonderful place. The food, ambiance, service, customer care everything was simply classic. The price was also very affordable. I really loved the place. Our group is now thinking of changing our hang out place to here. Really loved it.

We have gone this hotel basis of my friends suggestion. We ordered bbq, Alfaham.it was so yummy. I never had this kind of arabic food.its unique. Will be going again to try other varieties soon.
