When we decided to get professional help for Interior design of our new 3BHK apartment in Kozhikode, while keeping in mind that we live abroad, we asked around and found no satisfying references. There were Architecture Priests – they preach the design, color, texture, and everything else, and client must accept. We obviously did not want someone who impose their ideas and tastes on our Home, but someone with whom we can work together.

So we started googling and instagramming for one. While we spoke to a few, the experience of the very first call with BBA felt right. Subsequent discussions confirmed our gut feel that we are dealing with a set of genuine individuals who are also professionals in their field.

During the design phase, we would get influenced by the many design ideas floating online and would throw them on the table. Our opinions were always listened to with patience, and “molded” in to the design when it made sense. And when we were unable to see why our idea did not fit the overall picture, we were politely convinced to drop it.

Making designs can be potentially easy, but knowing who in Kozhikode can implement that idea is another critical aspect. So when it came to sourcing suppliers and vendors for the myriad of things we need for a home, BBA was truly super resourceful. They have a solid list of supply sources with strong relationship and leverage - from the mundane items to the unique things we needed. Going around Kozhikode – together - to meet these sources and always giving us Options to choose from, made the usually mind bending job of ‘finding and choosing’ an easy and pleasant experience.

And when it came to execution, their involvement made all the difference. And here are two fine examples:
1. The Italian marble we used on multiple pieces of furniture got cracks during transport. BBA brought in the marble supplier and the furniture maker onsite - while we were not in town - to review the problem and solve it the very Best way. They got a commitment to get a new slab of marble for Free from the supplier, if that was my preferred choice to feel satisfied!
2. We had challenges with our modular kitchen vendor. BBA managed every detail of their work, with repeated visits and pressure, to ensure every single work in scope and the tiniest possible glitch were completed!

The journey with BBA lasted 12+ months. Overall, I can say that it is possible to find Architecture firms with content, ideas and advise. But getting all of those + an amazing attitude, commitment, going out of the way to protect client’s interests + always having a lot of patience, was the great experience we got with Blackboard Architects.

A special mention and our sincere gratitude to the Lead Architect – Fhahad - who was our “partner” in this year long journey, and to all others who were working in the background.

I contacted owner of this company Mr.risal.
Very high price for designing. This person is trapping the customers.
He asked 14,00000 rupees to just make an interior design of a home. I asked why this price? He has no valid explanation. He is charging 20rupees per square feet for electrical design. But other veet good electric design calculation consultant is charging only 5rupees per square foot.
Do not approach this company to do design. Waste of money and time
