Location wise good but not maintained well. Visited for a booking but had to choose other hotel. Not so clean

I visited so much hotel but most of them have old accessories like bed cup board like but this hotel have entire thing is brand new and very neat and clean with good behaviour east accessable from kollam ksrtc only 50 ruppes fare stage food also excellent and very cheaper price everything is perfect have a nice journey for future and must try place for my viewers

The hotel is very good with all the amenities located in the centre of the city. I will recommend this place.

Do not stay there. They are not ready to give the complimentary breakfast even its shows in the bookings. They are simply saying that you can contact the booking app customer care. Rooms are dusty and bath towels they are providing in the hotel is not not well washed

Worst experience of booking with OYO. Don’t book with OYO it’s a scam and the booking will automatically gets cancelled. Extremely rude behaviour with hotel management and OYO customer care. OYO is a scam startup.

Stay was fine, food is good. Service is very good.
Labourer like house keeping or roomboy. I think they are foreign workers, some of them watching very rude. This makes feel uncomfortable for womens.
Totally satisfied with the stay. Heartful thanks for the great service.

Checkin experience was nice. Staffs were had a lovable manner with the guest. Property was nice and could have been properly maintained so that it can attract more guests. Couple frndly hotel. Overall feedback from my side is nice apart from toilet. Bar also attached

The hotel doesn't have its own plates and spoons, as per our package the breakfast was complimentary but they did not provide us breakfast and have no food for Vegetarians.
Very bad service and no cooperation atall.

One of the best hotels near the Kollam beach and city. Closest to Bus Terminal nd Railway station too. And the room was pretty cool with good atmosphere, ambience and it was very clean. I enjoyed the stay there. I suggest Dona Castle to people who are looking for good hotels in Kollam.

Oyo misguided booking through customer care to some Chennai based substandard rooms really annoying

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM ONLINE.
So we booked a room online,
but ontime when we arrived the hotel manager refused to give us a room, and asked us for more money to get a room.
So, it was a difficult situation for us in the morning to get a new reservations done, we got support from master booking agency but the hotel mgmt is not at all appropriate.
Won't recommend this to anyone!

We were not allowed to sit in reception.
Never ever book this hotel, its a loss of ur money, the staff is not cooperative, staff is unprofessional, bad smell.

Hotel Dona Castle - the name kind of gives you the impression of a grand hotel situated in the middle of a posh area, with great fooding options, amazing staff. But when we arrived at the area at almost 10 o clock in the night, we immediately realised that reality was drastically different. The area was so dark that for a few minutes we could not even locate the hotel. When we did, we found a couple of staff at the reception who appeared surpised to see us even though we had an advance booking with OYO. Even then, common hotel etiquette in this day and age is, that the customer is allowed to get down and enter the hotel, check into the rooms, while the checkin process continues in parallel. We probably deserved this even more so since we had our infant son and a mother who is a senior citizen. But the staff made us wait for almost 20 minutes before we could check in.

Nevertheless, tired as we were, we settled down into the rooms quickly and prepared to sleep after some quick food we ordered from nearby shops (as this place has a restaurant which takes orders only till evening). Sometime in the night, we were almost shaken with loud sounds coming in from the terrace. After going through that night, we complained to the staff about this the next morning, but no steps were taken about this. When we offered to check out a day in advance, they said no refund could be issued, so we had to lose a bit of money before moving to another hotel in Kollam.

But then, coming to the good parts. Food was awesome. And even though the staff seemed to lack a lot in terms of efficiency, in general they were a set of jovial and polite folks, who could do better if trained a little better. Also, my word of caution to everyone who is considering this hotel, if you have family you may want to reconsider staying here, as most of the folk who come over are either bachelors or sports teams who are visiting the city for a brief period, and therefore party throughout the night in the adjoining rooms. If you are a bachelor of course, nothing to worry about and you can probably have a good stay, if you choose to ignore a few shortcomings.

Worst experience ever.these people are cheaters.they make you pay more. PLEASE DON'T GET INTO THIS TRAP. I won't personally recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay in Capital O 19742 Hotel Dona Castle started itself with a bitter experience. Was it the problem of Goibibo or the hotel, I am not sure. What so ever, while I had already paid the full amount to Goibobo at the time of booking, the hotel management demanded me to pay an extra amount of Rs. 2000+ (I have seen that several other customers had akready faced this problem, but I could check the reviews earlier) When called Goibibo customer care, they said they were unable to resolve the issue and we have to wait in the reception for 45 mts. Now, after 1 hr and 30 mts, we are still waiting for the problem to be solved either by the hotel or by Goibibo.

Front office guy named Rinu is looting from us! I have visited here 3 to 4 times I booked directly at hotel and sometimes floor rate is 2500 and sometimes 1600. He is making a lot of money without thr management's knowledge. It's not only me but my friend has also faced the same issue.last time i paid around 500 for early check in. As soon as possible management should take disciplinary action against this

Despite the fact that we have made payment via online portal (oyo, yatra etc), the hotel insists on additional payment (post your stay) citing that they have some issue with online payment

Don't book by OYO. The hotel will charge more. I was asked to pay more than the amount I booked by the receptionist in the hotel.when I intimated the same to Oyo, they informed me that the mistake was mine, since I didn't report the problem to OYO within 48 hours. I came to Kollam for an important purpose, I was not able to report the case immediately. And also this was an internal policy of OYO which was not communicated to the public via website or others (reporting of issues within 48 hours).

Need to imporve restaurant services, have to give importance to neatness of serving tables, mosquito problems.

Worst service ever. No phone no room service omy one rrceptionist to say "No" to everything. Thank u Oyo for such a worst hotel.

These people don't have good manners to welcome customers, and they are discriminating foreigners, so they allow only "Indians", on top of that because of them I lost 1600 rupees with the app OYO together they were literally scam me. Worst welcoming ever. Never trust again these type of properties.

After take over of Oyo.all the edassery hotel went to vain.poor. Even they won't give 1 L mineral water.they will give 1L filter water only (in aquafina). Not filter water not mineral water.even the filter water is disgusting.not at all recommend the hotel

Wait for 1 hour, they will open the gate. If you want to get disturbed by drunkard's, this hotel is the best for you

This hotel is nice and very conveniently located in Kollam. The beach is only 2.5 kms away (hire auto they will charge Rs. 50). All supermarkets and ATMs are nearby also. I am giving a low rating because of the bad attitude of the receptionist when I visited with my family. I know OYO charges upfront but receptionist was extremely rude to my family in the manner he asked for the money. On top of it his manager gave a weak excuse that he was understaffed hence receptionist was tired. If you are in hospitality business you should be courteous to the customer (basic etiquette 101).

This place is a mess, poor hygiene, the bar inside it will definitely give you a horrific sleeping experience. Way low standards.

The stay at Dona Castle in Kollam was obviously a good experience. The room and facilities and also the food that they provide was something good and valuable for the money that I paid. The room that i stayed was spacious and clean.

Good property. Just 2 kms fm railway station & even nearer to beach. Clean & spacious rooms.

Everything was good. The ventilation in the bathroom should have been fixed. Neat and clean room, good service.

Rooms are spacious but everything is old and tired. The walls are in bad condition and the room has an old wood smell. The aircon and fan are so old they make a lot of noise when switched on. The towels are well-used and do not feel soft. And there's no hot water from the shower head, only the tap, so you have to fill a bucket to get a warm shower.
Worst of all was the noise. The hotel is located right beside a temple. On the night we stayed there, there was a religious festival going on and loud music could be heard from our rooms at all hours of thr night and early morning.
Finally, the breakfast is very poor, only chappati, egg curry with one egg, and coffee/tea. The waiter is also useless. I ordered a tea with no milk no sugar. But the tea still came with milk.

A clean and spacious hotel which is just a li'l away from Kollam railway station but still the place is not so crowded. A friendly staff.

I've booked my room through Makemytrip app and there was a wrong contact number on the confirmation mail. So I can't contact them for an early check in. And they charged for the early check in. First I got a good room but it has some electrical issue and by informing them they allotted another one but the second room was stinky and it was difficult for me to stay there anyway I was so sleepy so I checked in.

Worst service they asked for extra money and provided information about a driver which charged way too much. Even the food was bad.

Rooms are clean and quite spacious. Kitchen is poor, nothing is available from menu. Better order from swiggy or uber.

Just a five minute drive from kollam railway station. This hotel is located in a lively neighborhood. Restaurant is available and the service is great. All destinations are easily accessible or the travel can be arranged. Bar is within the hotel, so to have fun as well.

Ok for a one night stay. The hotel was under a partial renovation, so there were sound of machines, and electricity tripped a few times. Room is ok for the price. House keeping is not that good.

All in all, a budget room with a/c and a secure parking area with security. That's it.

Ok for stay. Need to be more professional. Complimentary mineral water is expected as standard. Breakfast must include fruits and fruit juices

Place of drunkards. You can't be sure of the room until you check in, even if you have fully paid. Hotel only for drunkards. Last option in Kollam town.

Very poor serivce.rude staff and manager. Didnt allow my guest to come in for few hours. Booked two rooms one delux and one classic but both were classic.

TV.hotel has not renewed cable connection.
