Food is average. Safdocating dine in at non a/c area, due to the kitchen exhaust is throwing there. Service is good.

The food was really good during the initial times. Had a very bad experience when we visited recently. The food was not good and we have got our stomach upset. Would appreciate if you can bring back the standard which was there before.

Honestly I was a bit skeptical to get in when I saw the restaurant from outside. Thought it was not a family restaurant. But that's not the case. My only issue with the restaurant was that it did not have air conditioning and being a March afternoon one can imagine the heat. But their food just makes up for it. The fish fry and prawns roast that we tried along with their meals were superb. Even the gravy that they serve with the meals is yummy.

But suppliers there will test our patience for sure. Once order is taken, if we want some more to order we have to burn candles and pray for him to reach us.but bill is on time and simply affordable.

I would have given 4 stars if the price was little bit less. I too will not say the food was expensive though, but for the quantity and taste it should be little bit less than current price.

Disappointed. Today we had lunch from this hotel we were totally disappointed. I had prawns roast and meals. Prawns were not properly cooked and somehow we ate. Reached home and we had stomach problems. They charged Rs. 120 for very less quantity. Anyways I wont recommend anyone.

Good Place to have with friends and family. It fits to your pocket. Quantity is little less compared to other dining centers, but the price is also less with proper quality

Excellent food specially fish varieties and beaf olathu. My fav main dish is ghee rice. The service and hospitality is really commentable. Thanks alot Chemeenz?

Rather quirky interiors, generally cheerful service, and very affordable prices makes this place popular. They seem to manage the prices partly by avoiding costs like air-conditioning. With wide open windows and doors, there's none of that stale food smell many AC restaurants have. The Puttu, Appam and Pathiri, along with the Fish Milagitta Curry, and sautéed prawns, are the popular choices. As are the Biriyanis. Everything's made tolerably well. There's an increasing trend to greasier, masala-laden cooking. If you have a low tolerance for that, you must order wisely.

They have succeeded in providing a very good ambience. Rate is ok. 60 for normal meals and 120 for special items.

Had fish curry meals. Rice and sides were alright. Had avoli (pomfret) fry. Its didnt feel fresh. But they have good ambience and cheerful staff

The food is not neatly served. The quality is compromised. Also the waiters or staff are ill mannered. The hotel ambience is also not neat. It is way different from what is shown in the pic.

Good place. Nice traditional ambience. Taste good dishes. Customer friendly service. Moderately priced dishes. Awesome surrounding vibe. The restaurant interior and the furnitures are beautiful.

One of the good restaurant in palakkad. Located out of town.
We will get good beef and putty here. Putty biriyani is special.

Not like as the Name shows, A common hotel with some kind of fish variety available, that's all & When one day i was gone there, got porotta without fresh

The fish here is really good n well spiced. The cost is also economical. It's a nice restaurant go have a nice meal of prawns n rice.

The food is cheap. But I got food poisoning once and the for second time the food was not cooked properly.

Order a Fish curry meals and any other special fish as a side dish. You will never regret your visit to Chemmeenz!

Only issue that I have felt is, since it's a partially open restaurant, and that I have visited the place in Summer, it was too hot inside.

This restaurant opened recently, i saw many reviews and have passed through the area many times, it looked impressive so one day i decided to go for dinner with my family, about the ambience it looks good like one of those fish thattukada in kochi area. Car parking is good. Seating space good. Now about the food part, we ordered fish items and prawns fry. Fish curry although tasty was damn cold (actually) felt like it was made for lunch like we do at our home, atleast we re-heat it againt in our home but this one was damn cold and old, then with it we ordered aapam which was ok, idi appam which was also bit cold, wheat parotta was also cold, i understand these items they make it before and keep it, but being a seafood restaurant i expected fish curry to to be super fresh and hot (we can wait, we know it takes time to prepare). Prawns fry was ok quantity was so less, Our mood was anyways off so to fill up our tummy we ordered chicken biryani which was ok, rice was cooked well however it was also not hot, something was not quite good on that day, then at last the price, it was not that costly however food was also below average. But later on when i read others reviews every one has appreciated and written only good part, maybe their lunch is good, i will try their lunch and then decide and see if other reviews are genuine or just their friends and family have written it. Lol.

Worth to try, very economical but it doesn't compromised the taste, an idle place for sea food lovers. Loved the ambiance and architecture of the restaurant.

Place for meals with seafood. Tasty and affordable. Retro ambience. Only let down was that it was steaming hot inside. Hope they install some exhaust fans to flush the hot air out.

Very tasty food. Economical budget meals are available. Wide variety of dishes and nice ambience. Mostly crowded at lunch time.

Location. No one can miss it. It's right on the main road from the Fort to Yakkara. I was apprehensive about parking space availability, bit found that ample parking slave was available provided everyone parks vehicle properly.

Food. The quantity served is great. Food is really awesome. I ordered karimeen pollichathu and it was awesome. Also the chicken dishes were lipsmacking.

Service. The staff is very cordial and friendly. Was attended to instantly. He even suggested few dishes.

Ambience. The ambience and interior were awesome. I saw people clicking selfies against the backdrop of the signature "window" walls of the restaurant. One will feel really good coming to the restaurant.

Overall. It ticked all my check off for a great seafood experience and hence the 5 stars. Great seafood restaurant in Palakkad.
