Tried their Vegetarian Chaiyang Schezwan Fried rice and their famed 'chilly pork'.
Have to say, I was blown away by the aesthetic ambience, yet calm atmosphere. The pork was well seasoned and tender.
One of THE best named Chinese restaurants in Kochi, if not the best, living up to the old name, even with the other recent Chinese restaurants popping up.
Hoping to visit again for their signature Honey glazed pork and chopseys.

If you want to have good chinese dishes this is your place

Chiyang offers a spacious parking lot and a pleasant ambiance. While the food is decent, it doesn't quite reach exceptional heights. Overall, a satisfying dining experience.

Hoped for the best but disappointed badly. We ordered chilli chicken and friedrice. It took 50 minutes to deliver the food and the chilli chicken was the worst chilli chicken I ever had. Fried rice also didn't come to the marks.

This place is a waste of time. Visited on a Mon evening and half of the menu was not available. For example, no spring rolls, beef etc. Other starters weren’t available as we were advised that they’d take too long to make - 8.30pm! Order given to a waiter only to find that other items weren’t available. I suggest they do everyone a favour not open for business as the owners weren’t too bothered about losing our custom. AVOID so that you don’t waste your time.

Chiyang is my all time favourite Chinese cuisine restaurant, no matter whichever food you ordered, the amount of quantity is main highlight, this time I tried American chopsey, very tasty and the cut of veggies and chicken was so finest

Well. To be honest. Chiyang has lost its charm. The dishes used to be delicious years back. But nowadays it is no longer worth it. Ordinary food. Ordinary taste. They need to make some immediate changes to the quality and taste of the food being served.

This is the second time we are having from chiyang Kadavanthra. I have no idea what standards are you following. Too much oil and corn flour. Not to mention the side dishes nothing tastes like Chinese. Dry dishes are deep fried. Semi gravy ones feel like payasam, very soggy, too much of cornflour coating. I really doubt they have any qualified chef. Very overrated. Arrogant and argumentative staff.
When I was looking for the owner I came to know that Kadavanthra chiyang is not the actual one. And they have split up from the chain. The authentic one is in the Banerji road

What an utter waste food, the chicken fried rice tastes like white raw rice under cooked, nd chilli chicken oh my god pathetic, should write it's chilly chicken, tastes something else.
If you try out other Chinese restaurant you PPL can understand the taste variance. Never ever recomend to anyone.

Today we had ordered one chicken fried rice and chilli chicken,
To be honest the most raw food you can get from the city, that much bad. Those rice nd veg seems undercooked, and I think they have low their std to Street food.
Chopstix is far better than this restaurant.
But I never expected this much disaster from this renowned Chiyang.

Pls my frnds be careful with their food.

Worst restaurant ever in kochi, i ordered 1 their special noodles, 1 chicken fried rice, 1 chicken manchow soup, manchow soup is completly diffrent from others, if you guys dont know how to make it, please dont make it. Fried rice is like a staff rice, then we told the complaint to the manager, they are giving a such silly excuses and reasons. Dont try it, if you dont try it

The restaurant features a pleasant ambiance with a charming Chinese-inspired décor. The food is delicious, and the customer service is excellent.

I had taken a take away from chiyang kadavanthara today chicken manchurian and mixed noodles.yuckk! Really bad quality of manchurian we didnt get chicken at all only the flour bit with manchurian.noodles was okayish with no flavour. I used to be a frequent visitor here but.this experience was horrendous.never going back to chiyang.being such a well known restaurant u cant keep ur recipe and taste consistent.

I have had amazing food from here before and really enjoyed it but the quality was different this time. This is the first time i went late at night so maybe it's the night shift difference.
The quantity is really good. For 2 servings, a half plate noodles or fried rice is enough in my opinion.

Very good ambience restaurant with chinese architecture. I liked the restaurant design very well including the wallpapers and lighting. I tried Chicken noodles and Honey grape juice. Both of the food is really good. The half portion chicken noodles has the quantity of two noodles buying from other restaurants. The taste is also very good. If you are going alone buy half portion. Even the half portion can eat buy 2 persons. The tomato ketchup feels like homemade one it was also very good. The honey grape juice also has very good quantity. I liked the drink a lot. The juice is filled with peeled grapes also. That was very good.
