Chrysoberyl Hotel & Convention Centre

DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. I booked this hotel for my family for my wedding expecting a 5 star service but unfortunately we did not even get a 3 star service.
The staff could not manage the checkin for a group of 15 people.
There is barely any lights in the corridor and no Air conditioning.
The suite room is dark and does not have much lights.
The room service is slow and horrible.
There is no in-house breakfast service. We have to order the food a day earlier to get breakfast the next day.
The management is horrible so can’t really blame the staff but they need to step up.
I will never recommend this hotel to anyone for stay.

Very good experience. Hotel situated near to the city centre. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Will visit again.

To check in…utter confused staff. They do not switch on lights & AC in the reception & corridor.we have to walk around in darkness. We ask for some water even after 4hrs they dont deliver. They are short staffed as management/owners having some issue. Horrible room service.towels delivered had cockroaches! NO restaurant & functioning kitchen.
This hotel should rename it as Chernobyl hotel. They apologized for their short comings but literally couldn’t give us any compensation as they said their owners will cut staff salaries for their short comings & created a ruckus!
This is definitely not a 5 star hotel.they have all facilities but until owner/management resolve their issues dont DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

Such a pathetic hotel, Understaffed, no Air-conditioning in the hall, corridor, they are saying partners are fighting so no maintenance, only staff's running the hotel.we don't know what exactly happened. But we're a very horrible stay.

Very nice hotel. The welcome was very warm. The manager has given a complimentary upgrade on our rooms. As we were conducting our corporate meeting, timing was very important and the staffs were true professionals and helped us to finish the event in time. Food is also of good quality and taste especially chef specials are so delicious. Only suggestion is to improve breaffast menu (We expect everything to be 5. For breakfast we give 4 only).

We have hosted an event yesterday, a birthday party. The Banquet Hall is just another gem from the Chrysoberyl and is a magnificent venue in the kottayam collectorate region. The décor is a fine amalgamation of grandeur and luxury, making it one of the best venues in the city. The chrysoberyl banquet hall is perfect choice and can easily accommodate 200+ person gatherings at a single time. So, if you’ve always imagined your gatherings, functions and ceremony amidst a picturesque background with beautifully lit chandeliers feel, then the chrysoberyl banquet hall is the best pick for all. Host all your family events at this venue to make memories for a lifetime.

The place is nice and the service of the staff was very classy, ​​I am an Arab, and there was an excellent welcome and great cooperation from the staff

I got a terrible experience attending a wedding reception here on 2nd November at 7 PM. The food was really bad and it led to food poisoning.

Guys, if you are planning to come here. One advice: DON'T.

It was a wedding reception and they had the audacity to provide stale food.

Quality of beer provided post lockdown is absolutely worse. Will not recommend this hotel for its bar services.

One of the best star cathegory hotel available in Kottayam. The staffs are friendly and the overall cleanliness is good in the hotel.

We went to Chrysoberyl with lot of expections after their relaunch with the new Beer & Wine license they acquired. The moment you enter the hotel you get a feeling which is dull. The staff especially has a cold approach towards you. Not at all welcoming. Moving forward we seated at their launch facility and grabbed some beer and ordered some food. The food was pathetic! I cant give a rating more than 1. It was that bad. It was overcooked, dry and flavorless! The bar was gloomy with a single waiter attending who doesn't know what dish is their chef's special. I'm not returning ever if this is what I'm expecting in future.

Best hotel having a five star restuarant can have a different variety of taste and services. Watch your pocket before you enter.

Not at all upto the mark, the services in room not good, no tv channels, no kettle in a room of 9000rent, ac was faulty, not enough staffs for service. Do not allow to take away food that comes extra after our function but need to pay them if extra taken etc etc

Hosted an event at this hotel and it was a pleasant experience. They have a relatively large hall on the upper level. The food was excellent. I had over 150 guests and the quality of the food was great. Very flavorful rice and curries. The staff was friendly and attentive. They have a full bar on the first level. I would highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels in kottayam district. They provide luxury suites, swimming pool, 24×7 service, wifi and excellent food.

Aweful experience! Never book for receptions or funtions.

We used their reception hall for a function. We had told them that there would be about 60 people and a max of 100. We said we would confirm later. There was no communication on their part after that. On the day before we told the.therw would a mx of 65 people. They said oh it's too late. You have to pay for 100 people. We ended up paying double the amount. We asked to speak with the own managing director and he said he is in outside kerala. I asked for the email to bring up my grievance and he said the md doesnt like emails. From the other reviews you would have understood that it's a deserted place which is very true. The food was below average. It's expensive even more than the top hotels in Cochin. We chose thier suit to stay which was more like a double room. I think aida or windsor castle is a much better place. Stay away from this place.

From night 2.30 am to 7 am my room Bell was RINGING. MAY BE SOME 6-7 TIMES. AND THE HOTEL WAS NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING ABT IT.

THE HOTEL IS SO DARK. THERE IS NO LIGHT. IMAGINE IN A BEAUTIFUL TOWN LIKE KOTTYAM. SITTING IN THE LOBBY AND RESTAURANT WITH EXTREMELY LOW/DIM/NO LIGHTS!
