Club Mahindra Cherai Beach Resort in Kerala

Restaurant staff and food is good.
Front desk is casual.
Room numbers starting from 4 are just like any other hotel room. For two days I was in room 418, couldn't open even window as it opens in parking lot, drivers sitting around.
Last two days I was in room number 3xx, those rooms give a feeling of being in Kerala.
Bar should be added in the club premises.
Beach is just across the road.

We had a Beautiful and Peaceful stay in this Awesome property. Security ~ Rajeevan, Front Office ~ Ashwin and House Keeping ~ Jay and Sarasa were very friendly, graceful and helpful to us. We were slightly disappointed we didn't get our 1 BR. To compensate that, they provided a Beach facing, quiet Studio.

We had booked the day package which turned out to be an interesting and fun affair. The food was scrumptious and altogether well-organised. A special mention is for their hospitality- with a few toddlers and three harried mothers in tow, the staff were extremely accommodative and met our last minute requests in short notice. They endeavoured to make it a lovely experience for us city dwellers.

I went as a club Mahindra member. The rooms are pretty clean and well maintained. Hospitable and great staffs. It is right in front of the beach, so accessing the beach is easy, but I lost track of time spending time in the resort with my family. I loved my time there.

Hair in food, cockroach in juice bottle and flies all around inside the restaurant.major impact reason for food poison. Resort require maintenance high time.very bad condition of the property.only staff are cordial but overall experience not satisfied.

Very good staff especially Deepu, he is very helpful and outstanding. The food was excellent they have many varieties of food. They have clean rooms. The swimming pool is very large and clean. They also have a big boat for boat ride. It is a wonderful place to visit.

Tbh there is nothing much to do in cherai beach and so this property is good for emergency stay not for leisure activity. Rooms are okayish. Food, I didn't try. There are studio rooms which are quite nice.

I liked it here, the rooms are clean, good food and great service. I removed 2 stars because of the walkway to rooms. My great-grandmother came with us on this trip, she has difficulty walking and needs to hold someone's hand. The walkway has stones with concrete between each stone. Older people find it difficult to walk and my great-grandmother often complains. I also removed a star for the pool water. The water has so many chemicals that getting your eyes wet makes them burn. My legs were burning when I entered the water then I read the sign that said that people with skin issues and open wounds shouldn't swim. In the US, where I'm from, stinging has almost never been a problem in public pools. They were very vague and when we asked them to reserve a car they said they didn't have any. All in all pretty disappointed decent hotel bad amenities.

The location of the resort is beautiful with studio rooms having a backwater view balcony. The services provided in the resort were really good, thumbs up for the food. Overall a pleasant stay

Had a terrible time at Club Mahindra Cherai Beach. The rooms are really dated and in serious need of renovation. There is a very bad stench from the stagnant water in the middle of the resort. We stayed in 3 different rooms because got 1br for one day and we were told that it comes with a pool but the pool a very small and very badly maintained we ended up not getting into it.

The studio rooms get so much light in from the outside lights because the door and above it is all glass which lets the lights through. We spent 3 sleepless nights. We only had breakfast buffet on all the days and ordered room service for one night. The food was decent and nothing to write about.

They are poorly staffed from what I can see. Our luggage came more than 45 minutes after checkin. When you call the main number @ 9, nobody picks up nor does the manager listed whose number comes up as switched off. We had to call the house keeping to get to the main desk. Another night when we came at 10: 30 to pick up the keys, there was no one at the reception desk.

Overall we had a terrible stay and would never go back to this resort.

Very good ambience, beach on one side and back side river. It's a big property, mediumly big swimming pool, and staffs were very friendly. Went with family and they were very happy. Special thanks to Deepu.

We had a recent stay at Club Mahindra Cherai. I would say amazing hospitality all the staff at Front desk was really helpful especially Silpa and Mini. Also the night duty staff at Front desk, can't able to recollect his name. All safety protocols have been taken care. The room was clean and neat. I would recommend all should try this amazing property. Special thanks to Tobby Chandy who have done all arrangements at Club Mahindra. We love you club Mahindra for wonderful memories. Will see you again.

Club Mahindra Cherai is one of the best places to just relax and rejuvenate. The team consisting of James, Awasthy, Kamal, Manirul, Najeem (hearing impaired if am not mistaken), Mini, Abhijeet and Jishnu (hope I haven't missed any names) went out of their way to pamper us. Sadly the spa was closed. The property is located very next to the beach and the best part was the stay in the room facing the backwaters. My concerns were basically since the rooms are spread with lagoon style water ponds a safety net or fence so that kids don't rush in to it. The pool area unfortunately didn't have a lifeguard and no one to monitor guests who don't follow proper dress code in the pool.
The food was fresh and tasty, with prompt room service.
Other than this I can say if you have 3 days break in Kochi just rush to CM Cherai and enjoy.

Poor experience. Rooms are not hygiene bathroom too. Poor Services. I called for an iron box and i got it after one hour. My room was nearest to the reception. No slippers in rooms. Three members stayed and only two tooth brush. No kettle for hot water but there is tea powder and sugar. Overall below average experience.

It's was really nice experience, have been to resort twice. Hospitality at restaurant was very good everyone was helpful. Special thanks to Mr Manirul he served us well both the times did all necessary arrangements as per our request. Front desk Shilpa and a guy in night duty I don't remember his name were very cordial and helpful. All room service house keeping staffs are the real pillar of resort they make us feel what hospitality is all about. So inviting smile they have felt really good. Overall experience was nice.

Beautiful property with amazing staff. They go out of their way to make your stay as memorable as possible. Hats off to the staff for genuinely caring that guests enjoy their stay. Would highly recommend this property!

Cool and peaceful place. Those who like explore beach this is one of the best place. You can enjoy the beauty of Arabian sea just 20 meters away from the Resort gate.

Excellent staff with awsome and tasty food. Location also matter for holiday and cherai is best location to have a holidays. I would like to appericiate Mini, silpa and Ashok to make my family wonderfull holidays.

Ordered Pizza and Chicken burger from Club Mahindra Cherai. They have delivered amazing pizzas and burgers. The pizza was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had in Kerala and the burger was so yummy. Really fresh and well made. The pizza was absolutely perfect and stand in line with authentic Italian pizza. They packed it very neatly and delivered very quickly and on time. Thanks to Mr. Mageshwaran of Club Mahindra, who recommended it to me.

Good resort for a short stay.premises are not very well maintained. There is a pool, games area, restaurant, bar. You get a lake and beach view which is good

I have visited club Mahindra kochin, Thekkady and Munnar also, and Cherai beach resort was just not up to the standards of club Mahindra. The property was beautiful. But the rooms were not clean.

Positives -
1) Excellent Staff
2) Well maintained rooms
3) Clean and hygienic
4) Excellent location

Negatives -
1) No Wifi (Though they have the option but they do not provide wifi to rooms)
2) Understaffed in restaurant

Place is excellent but the hospitality and hygienic condition are not at all there in the resort. It is at par with the darmetory like. Pl think twice before choosing this resort by club mahendra.

The most disappointing Club Mahindra experience ever! The room we got had an extremely stinky bathroom, literally smelling like a public toilet. The management just super bad in addressing our issue. Because it was a busy weekend for the resort, and it was very convenient to skip 1 guest for them. We already adjusted on multiple things- broken TV, broken AC remote, no dental kit, no toiletries (not mentioned anywhere). Believing this RCI resort by trusting Club Mahindra was a mistake.

The place was okay the lunch was good but spread was limited and the ambience was not bad. The best thing is that cherai beach is right opposite to this

We went for a dayout there, but nothing much as expected. Dayout costs 1100 per person, we can use pool and gaming room. Staffs are not that friendly, buffet doesn't have too many options.

Pool is not good, its very small. So called Cricket ground is full of trees and doesn't make sense to call it a ground. Not good for day outing.

Brisk & easy check in procedures, nice rooms -spacious, Food and spread could have been better. Not up to the mark need to increase F& B production budget for better spread. Staffs with great attitude, always helpful even though its busy.

Fantastic Resort by the Club Mahindra. Nice cottages/ apartments. The beautiful location between the Sea & Backwaters. Sunrise & Sunset views. Plenty of plants & trees. Ponds & Pools. A small houseboat. Excellent Services. Avoid the beach visit on Sunday's as it's very crowded.

Club Mahindra Cherai, Kerala resort is a mind-blowing place. Surrounded by backwaters from one side and sea beach from another. It's a worth place for vacation.
We spent 4 night here.
The front office is very cooperative.
All it's housekeeping staff, restaurant staff and room service staff are polite and helpful.
The food was delicious and they are ready to accommodate your choice also.
A very good property of Club Mahindra.

It is one of the best club Mahindra properties in Kerala. The cottage we got was beautiful and with a view of the lake. The property itself is big enough to roam around for a few hours. The beach is just opposite to the resort and the view could be enjoyed from one of the restaurants inside. Only issue we faced was with mosquitoes, they seemed to be a bit immune to the repellants. The place is having houseboat cruise inside the property itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My 2 year old daughter had a good time too.

Club mahindra cherai is a beach side reaort with a back water view. Two restaurants are avilable at the resort. 1st is an italiyan speciality and the outher is a multi quition which will provide the buffet.
Club mahindra cherai is an ideal place to spent your weekends.

Peace and beauty. Perfect hang out to take a break. Clean and well maintained rooms and surroundings. Nice pool. Beach near by. Well behaved staff. Great food. One star cut for no toothpaste

Overrated! Booked after reading the good reviews. Though our request for an early check-in was graciously accepted the precious day, we thankfully got delayed. By the time we reached there, our rooms were nor ready and the reception staff suggested us to have lunch and promised to arrange the rooms in 30 mins. After lunch we were accompanied to the rooms and then was informed that only one room is ready and the other will take more time. We waited for more than 1.5 hrs after the normal check in time with kids and family members badly wanting to rest after 5 hours of travel. It was not a pleasant conversation with the staff member who gave us a 'take it or better wait' offer of another room (which is ready) on the other side of the property. Lunch and Dinner was not worth the money, but breakfast was sumptuous. Have to mention the courteous and good customer service experience at the restaurant. Rooms - were spacious, clean, but had mosquitos that gave us nightmares though the electronic repellents were switched on. Our request for a mat near the restroom was ignored and we had to walk around with wet feet inside the rooms. The property is beautiful, and gives good view of sunrise and sunset. Overall we had an average experience!

Disappointed with the service. Booking after reading the reviews. Reviews are highly overrated. Rooms are not cleaned, no proper response from the staff, food (veg and non-veg) are mixed together. Being a vegetarian we refrain from such acts. Ac's are not operated in the dining area. The list goes on. Overall pathetic service and resort. I don't recommend a stay in this resort in Cherai.
