Club Mahindra Mount Serene Resort in Munnar

First time visiting Munnar property, very huge property and as usual a wide range of rooms.

Rooms with different views namely Lake View, Mountain view etc.

They have different kitchens, especially the BBQ kitchen is the highlight.

A must visit. It's far from munnar but the location and the view is really serene. If you get a room with good views - nothing better than that. We stayed here for 4 nights and the management was kind enough to switch our room to a room with a scenic view. Had a wonderful experience!

Service is pathetic. They are not able to manage peak seasons. + Attitude of staff is not great. Food is okish.

Good hotel… Rooms are nice. Play area is good. No swimming pool (as seen in gmaps).
Location is very nice far from town. 1 br is the best room available, facilities are good enough which even includes room heaters.

Super chill location one thing must remember wherever you go reach the hotel by max 5 pm. If you reach later due to wether conditions you will face huge consequences to reach the hotel.

Today morning i take massage. Mr. Sanjeev was done the full body massage, kizhi. Such a nice experience, I feel very relaxed. Good.

The location is pristine, the service provided by the team was very good.
The hike organised by the team was also good, Rishi was very accommodating during the hike.

We stayed there this weekend for 2 days. The stay here was not at all a good choice for the price. The resort hotel situated far away from Munnar toutist destinations and so the journey itself will take lot of time. So our valuable time for sight seeing is cut off. If we don't want to go out and just came to relax inside the resort, there are no amneties there. No swimming pool, no outdoor kids play area or garden to sit or lessure activities, no wi fi for the rooms and no proper net coverage. Rooms are not valuable for this price. Not much facilities inside the room considering the price and the furnitures etc seems old with low maintenance with noise and loose screws. Frequent electrical problems and lights not working and the way to the room we got was almost in darkness (only few lights that too were not working properly). Food was good but very highly priced. Staff were good and polite, offered services as possible as they can. So overall the stay was just ok. Never ever its a good choice in this era unless we have no other way. We can get many other better resorts in Munnar in this price or even cheaper than this.

Definitely not a suggestion location base. Half the day will be wasted for traveling to Munnar and resort. Parking facility also poor. Maybe on road side. Public road going through resort. If you want to explore Munnar take resort near Munnar town,

1 BR cottages are amazing with clean spacious rooms and a pantry as well. Sofa bed in living room. TV available. You can also order inroom dining here. (Pizza is good)

But the studio rooms in the main building are very old and had smelly washroom.

The breakfast spread is good, mostly Indian.amazing views from the restaurant.

We were in Munnar and faced the following issues.
1. We booked for Mount serene and got Lakeview resort instead. The same wasn't even mentioned in the website.
2. Initial upon arrival, we were given a STU room which was cold damp and dark in the back of the resort which had doors connecting to the adjacent room. There wasn't any privacy as we could hear ppl from the adjacent rooms.
3 There were constant electrical issues and the room wasn't as clean and tidy. The ambience of the room was bad when compared to any budget OYO hotel. We had to request several times to get the room changed and upon multiple complaints we got our rooms changed.
4. There are no other privileges for Club Mahindra members. A coffee was charged for 90+ rs.

Overall it was a bad experience as we had to call them repetitively to get the room issues fixed and this is something that one wouldn't like to do on a vacation.

Overall awful experience and do not recommend.

Housekeeping (5/5) : Good housekeeping, well maintained rooms and efficient housekeeping services.
Food (2/5) : Below average food quality. Awfully curated menu and cuisines.
Gourmet experience (1/5) : Pathetic theme dinner experience. The crew have no idea what they are doing. We had a terrible theme dinner.

Worst Experience entirely. Never opt for paid buffet dinner and also if possible avoid breakfast also from there. Poor Service throughout. Entirely an all around worst

We stayed at Club Mahindra Munnar for a week recently and it was an experience we all would treasure for ever.
The view from our apartment was breathtaking and so we did really mind that we couldn't go out much as it was raining.
The food is excellent (a bit on the higher side)
Very pleasant and cordial staff always willing to render any help. I would like to mention Mr. Kuriakose and Mr. Suresh in particular.

During these Covid times Iam happy to say that at Club Mahindra. Absolutely no compromise on safety precautions

One of the better resorts of club mahindra. Well kept and clean. Resorts are spacious and beautiful view of the tea garden outside is an added bonus.

Located at a remote place
No network coverage for airtel now.
Wifi is only present in the restaurant and lobby
Worst service and attitude by the staff.
If we have luck then only we will get a room with good view.
I think there are better options comparing to this remote place.
High price and low quality food. It will cost around 1600 rs for a member to have a three meals combo.

Hi, we visited Club Mahindra Munnar April third week. Amidst the pandemic, it was a nice stay and rest in the resort. It was all very well maintained and safeguard and precautions for Covid has been well taken. Especially, in the restaurant Tea room, all staffs are so polite& well mannered. They took ultimate care by serving our needs then& there. To be mentioned, Alby, Amal, Abin, Jijo, Ishan and Mr. Ajith they were all kind and nice. In the Spa
they did take good care. House keeping, Dhandabani did extremely well. Mr. Raja helped us nicely, And special mention to Mr. Arun from the front desk. Overall it was a good holiday for us!

Scenic beauty. Superb experience for me and my family. Excellent food and activities. Chilling atmosphere. Staff were also friendly. The way from Munnar is bad for now. Thumbs up.

I have been to Munnar with my friend, it was just two of us girls. The staff has been so so welcoming, they started following up since the time we landed in kochi, TULASHA - the activity Incharge. She was so friendly & caring. She has been with us through all the adventure activities and it is so much fun with her. Totally trust worthy. Shaziya has helped us with the best rooms, best view, best ambience and lovely staff! We’ve become such good friends. Derric - who was the DJ and travel guide - this incredible man never made us feel bored. He has been organising so many activities though there were restrictions due to covid. To the best dj night we have ever experienced with club Mahindra, to the best safaris, chasing sunrises and sunsets, it’s been INCREDIBLE. They all made us feel so so safe. People from the restraunt - amal and hussain have been so humble and loving. I’ve taken back a bag full of memories from this trip that I will treasure and cherish forever! One of the best experiences with club Mahindra, cheers to the team.

Also to add, Mr. Chandra shekhar - who was the activity manager was very rude to us. Not only us, but other friends we met at the resort felt the same. He was very unclear about the activities - especially about the money issues, he always had silly reasons, he did not put any effort to help us out. Since day one - he has been using a very wrong tone - felt very annoyed! This is the only bad experience I’ve had so far.

Most beautiful resort of Club Mahindra located at Mountain stirip Chinnakkanal Munnar, rooms and cottages are well furnished and Our studio room is with Kichenite.

The stay was very peaceful and nice. The resort, Mount Serene was very calm, quite and well kept. Evening walks in the resort itself feels so refreshing. The view from the resort is breath taking.
The manager of mount serene, Mr. Murugan was extremely courteous and helpful. He made sure to attend to even the smallest query. The hotel staff and even the security staff are very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommended for a peaceful and fun vacation. The food was very tasty as well. Special thanks to chef Nagaselvam, Karan and Shilbin from mount serene.

There are two units, mount Serene and lake view.both the places are nice, due to pandemic only lake view kitchen was operating but room service was there even in Mount Serene even though it's 2 kms away from Lake view, there is one go to person that is Mr. Murugan. He will take care of everything

The resort is ok. Washrooms are very small. Food is very costly and the quality is also not good. Not worth for the cost

No parking for customers.parking only for taxi peoples.priority given for taxi peoples only.i will review this in social media so that customers should know about the importance given to them.very bad experience for the first time.

The place is serene. The club is amazing. But the only drawback and the reason I removed a star is waiting for the shuttle service to go anywhere in club Mahindra including the restaurant. Nothing is in walkable distance although walking uphill is sometimes a struggle in the cold weather.

The food was good. The staffs were very courteous.

Just outside the club towards the entrance are all the taxi drivers scamming you to take their ride or sight seeing trip.

The place surrounding the club is just amazing. Absolutely stunning.

This place is Divine, and I mean it when I say it. The location, the rooms, ay dios mio, marvelous. The service is without a doubt the most polite and professional I've seen. Worth a visit!

The worst way to reach here. If you are planning to book n come, be ready for disaster way.dont even think to check in late. Best thing they will not even try to convey msg about roads, which are in terrible condition. The main way is blocked, so therd is an alternate way which is very very very steep and can damage your car, full with holes that can make ur vehicle get stuck. There is no warning, no board, all dark and its been going on since last one year.

The room and staffs were really good. But this hotel is 1: 30 hrs drive from and to munnar which does not serve the purpose of visit. Most of our time was wasted in driving which was exhausting. Not recommended if your exploring munnar.

Friendly & well mannered staff. It is a great location to enjoy munnar. They serve delicious lunch and buffet. Rooms are clean and have good view. The property is well maintained. Spa is done by professionals and is very relaxing. Loved the place. Highly Recommended for romantic family vacation.

Club Mahindra Resorts, Chinnakanal - Good property. But around 20+kms / around 45 mins drive away from Munnar town. Everything good amenities, rooms, shuttle services and especially tasty food.

But only BSNL mobile network only works (3G coverage works some area & 2G coverage works in for all area).

Near to Sterling Resorts, Chinnakanal - Munnar.

Actually this area mainly suitable for Group members / Corporate get together. Even we cant park buses. If you come by bus means you need to park on road side.

If you booking with Club Mahindra Mount Serene Resorts which is nearly 1+km away (upstairs hills) from Club Mahindra Resorts (Please make it clear which property you want. But they have frequent shuttle service based on crowd, Restaurant / Reception etc available but think before while book).

Make sure to be prepared early morning for Munnar sightseeing (by Jeep is suggested, large bus will not allowed for Munnar local sightseeing places, so take local Jeep or Car).

You can't find anywhere about difference and distance between Club Mahindra Resorts and Club Mahindra Mount Serene Resorts, Munnar.

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe how beautiful this property is. Definitely one of the best at Club Mahindra. Has its own nooks and corners. The views are stunning from every part of the property.

Resort is good and well maintained. Rooms are good and well maintained. Perfect for family and kids with forest reserves nearby. Roads to the resort are a consern at present. Got good restaurant and foods are good. Front desk and securities were helpful and customer friendly. The resort has a very good view of TATA tea estate and periyakanal lake. Anairangal Dam is also nearby.

I am member of clubmahindra, it's really very beautiful place to stay, and the views you get from the room itself is very satisfying, I am providing some photos for the reference. Some rating I will give as below

Food quality: - 5/5, very nice quality
Food price: - 4/5, combos are value for money but the single meal like sandwich etc are very expensive.
Shuttle service is available for transport from reception to room
Bell boy also available for picking up luggage and all.
Overall I will say, If you are member here, it's really worth a experience

Idyllic, laid back, relaxing. The impeccably manicured tea plantations are a treat to the eyes. No woollens needed in May, June.

If you're staying at sterling, you should have breakfast/dinner here. Amazing restaurant. We loved the Danish and cheese omelette here.

Club Mahindra Lake view resort is located around 20 kms from Munnar. It is one of the best resort of club Mahindra surrounded by mountains and valleys in a calm and peaceful environment.

Due to road construction undergoing, it took us around 1 hour from Munnar to reach the resort.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Club Mahindra resorts are known for their best hospitality.

Food is good but very costly. Tourists can opt for nearby small restaurants.

Inside resorts activities are good with indoor games and adventure games.

Travel desk is helpful but very costly, they charge almost double as compared to local private tours services for airport pickup and drop and other sight seeing packages.tourists can take private cars from outside the resort for sight seeing.

Overall it was wonderful experience staying in Club Mahindra Munnar lake view resort.

We our stay at Mahendra Mount serene and especially would like to mention about the kitchen. Beautiful rooms, extremely friendly staff and prompt house cleaning. The food served is excellent and is like a feast! And also the club activities and family night programs make the stay perfect.

The location is far from the city of Munnar but the property of Club Mahindra is beautiful with tea plantations all around, cute cottages, extremely helpful staff and a cozy stay in general.:)
(PS the roads could be a bit of a trouble for people with back problems or so.)
