Coconut Creek Homestay & Houseboat

I booked a Deluxe AC 2 bedroom houseboat through Coconut Creek and was very disappointed. We set sail at 12: 15pm out onto the big lake they are near. We dropped anchor in the middle of the lake from 2-4pm and then were back to the dock and anchored in for the night at 5: 30pm. The next morning we didn't set sail until 8am. We went drove to the big lake then immediately turned around, went through one small backwater/canal for 10 minutes and then were docked and done with our overnight by 9am. We literally spent 10 minutes on a small canal, and only drove around the big lake for 3 hours and 15 minutes total. Not worth it to pay for the overnight on the houseboat. Only go for a daytime cruise and use a different company. The pictures on their website did not match the boat we had. They didn't communicate any sort of itinerary to us. The only positive thing was the lunch and dinner were delicious! Unfortunately, they served a Western meal for breakfast which was disappointing. I'm in India. I want Indian food, not food I can easily find back in the US!

Good and comfortable stay. The best cruise time in traditional houseboat. Neat and clean stay in homestay and houseboat.

Writing in response to the owners response on my previous review about the houseboat. The owner of the boat did not ask what kind of meal we wanted for breakfast. The staff didn't ask what kind of meal we wanted for breakfast. The staff didn't even speak any English. It's unfortunate that the owner here has resorted to lying and inaccurate information. Just another reason to go with a different houseboat company.

You should clearly communicate on your website that you are only promoting the houseboat tourism rather than coming off as you own and operate the houseboats in addition to your homestay.

By contracting out different houseboats each time, there is no consistency in the product or service provided.

The property is overall good and has a Kerala style touch but the rooms and bathrooms are very small.
