Rude people, They have an extremely discrimination culture if you don't speak English or Malayalam they will not serve you as they can't stand Hindi, Or may be more interested towards serving Foreign travelers cause by fooling them they will make more money. In spite of Promoting Kerala tourism by GOVT.this kind of places still exists, and thinks Indian means only the people of a certain part of the country. I didn't have anything from this place just because of their behaviour.

Once u enter this restaurant u will feel that u have made mistake by entering this restaurant.they r simply racist who only prefer people from outside India.they simply don't like Indians and the proof of this u can chk in the other reviews posted by Indians and also NRI people who also felt they r very racist, although they r Indian but only like foreigners.they will talk to every indian in a very rude manner whenever they r serving u but once any foreigners come to their restaurant, u guys shud see the glaze in their face.they serve them like they r the only atithi and maintain athithidevo bhava mantra. Indian shud start boycott them and even the people who r actually care about human.i personally felt very insulted although after independence they treat us like dogs and in their defend they say it's their nature to talk to Indians like this. I'm truly sad that this kind of service in India or people still exists.very sad tht they call Kerala as God's own Country with this kind of hospitality to their own country people.in this hospitality industry the service matters apart from food they r serving.if u r not welcome in a warm manner and instead treat u like dogs u don't feel like coming to the place and i will not come to this place anymore.thnk u so much the team of coconut grove to make us realise tht u still make us feel as dogs in front of the foreigners.

Efficient and caring service. Food enjoyed by all in our group. My fish biriyani was great and it was enough. Temptation always with Indian food is to over order but we didn't and were all happy for that. Thank you!

We really liked the place! Was skeptical due to the low score, but we ended up eating here a few times during our stay. I chose my fish from the selection outside, they gave us great cocktails, and even the appetizers were nice.

Hard avoid.

Overpriced and underwhelming.

I went into coconut grove to grab a juice (120rs for orange!) as my mum wanted to go down to the water while I did not. When my mum returned, she came to join me at the restaurant to grab her stuff so we could move on.

While making the payment, one of the staff at the restaurant started berating my mum for dripping water into the restaurant. Completely unreasonable considering it’s basically a beach shack.

We are British Indian and so they had assumed we are Indian tourists but when the guy heard my British accent, he did a complete U-turn and started being pleasant and saying it was fine!

You may think they are friendly but actually the staff at this restaurant are discriminatory against Indian tourist as they usually make more money from foreign visitors. They’re only nice because they want to rinse you of your cash!

I would advise you to take a stand against this kind of behaviour and avoid this place.

Lovely see food and beef roast with parotta. Coconut Grove is right by the sea on Lighthouse Beach. Tasty food with original Kerala flavour. Value for money.

Worst food I had in my Kerala trip.
They are much interested to serve food to foreigners.

Restaurant with friendly staff and good foo d near to Light house beach. Offer wide range of seafood range on demand to pick from front. Available with tandoori option and are reasonably priced as compared against others in that locality and preparing food on vegetable oil.

We had tried Tandoori prawan and crab masala and was good. They also serve beer on request so definitely recommend for sea food lovers.

This restaurant is on Hawa beach street. This has a very good view of the Arabian sea. You can enjoy your food and watch waves. Some good options of seafood. Food was good. The ambience was also nice. You can see mixed crowds dining at this place. Service could be better. Watch for the price of seafood. You better walk around the area and ask for the price before ordering. Night is better with a cool breeze and the lights are very nice. Choose a table near the street edge so that you can watch the sea and waves.

Had lunch and dinner both in this beach side restaurant. Had Dal Fry, Chicken Masala and Kadai Fish and Steamed Rice in lunch and fish curry and dry chilli chicken and butter naan in dinner. Every dish was delicious. Among them Kadai Fish was the star item which was served in a sizzling kadai. Only Butter Naan protha the mark. Staffs are well behaved. They accept cash, card and GPay.

Great location on the promenade on Lighthouse Beach. You can just sit and watch the world go by and the waves break. Food, drinks and service was good.

The best thing about this place is its location as you get a great view of The Light house beach. We went there for breakfast, the hotel and tables were clean, we were practically the only people there, there was only one other table occupied. The food is below average, very few options for vegetarians. Don't expect anything to taste the way it does outside Kerala or anywhere else in Kerala for that matter. We ordered Masala dosa, Onion tomato uttapam, Ginger tea, Manchow soup, Fish fingers and finger chips, Macaroni.

The food is extremely delicious (a very gifted head cook who seems to be the heart of the kitchen), great staff and service and a wonderful view (what we liked especially is that the view is quite elevated). We loved the onion pakora, and the traditional fish wrapped in banana leaf. Looking forward to my next visit, thank you team coconut Grove

A wide range of food's available in their.but over priced.if we stay in kovalam we have no other option for food.that situation can use this kind of hotel's

Kerala style items are okay, but seafood is overpriced, the weighing machine is faulty. Anything other than Kerala style food is bad.

The food is very overpriced and if you are an outsider they will charge you even more.
They charged service tax too which is irrelevant.
I recommend you that if you are planning to eat from there please do confirm the price first.

Great food here.in quality.quantity.value for money.we came to coconut Grove too late but Mr Rao.gave us they quality food.asap.in 15 minutes.with they seafood speciality.and made us happy.keep it up guys

Freshest fish, great service! Really enjoyed this place! Fish was delicious and well made and staff was professional, smiley snd more than willing to accommodate any needs! Don’t miss it!
