Benson is a wonderful host & couldn’t have been more helpful. He has extensive knowledge about Kerala and was able to give us numerous good tips of where (or where not) to go. The kitchen area was good with a fridge, cooker, water filter & all we needed.
One of the good things about solo travel is we can meet new and nice people unexpectedly. It happened to me during this stay. The host and his family were so warmth and friendly. They helped and guided me about transportation to reach my next destination to visit. Rooms are so clean comfortable and Budget friendly. This stay is my first option during my next visit to fort kochi. Highly recommended. Thanks
Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at Costa Gama homestay during my trip to Fort Kochi and I must say, it was a truly memorable experience.
Hosts and Hospitality: The first thing that struck me upon arrival was the genuine hospitality of the hosts. They greeted me with all smiles and Mr. Benson and his family were lovely. They were always available to answer questions, provide local insights, and offer helpful tips to make the most of my trip. Mr. Benson is very knowledgeable person. He and i got into conversations about my culture, my hometown and we shared each other's perspectives regarding political stuff. It was great interaction!
Accommodation: The accommodation was cozy and well-maintained, rooms are very clean. The accommodation offers all the essential amenities I needed. Like they had a small kitchen space where they had microwave oven, fridge, electric jug, Kitchen utensils, gas stove to cook whatever. So if you stay there, you don't need to eat out but cook for yourself and save extra bucks. I couldn't go a day without drinking black coffee first thing in the morning. So having electric jug helped! ;')
Location: JUST PERFECT PLACE to crash if you wanna explore fort kochi on foot. Just every places are within walking distance of 20-25mins. The surrounding is super peaceful.lovely neighborhood, you can get auto/tuk tuk or Uber to come to the COSTA GAMA homestay. Small stores (if you forget to buy anything essential, you can get them as there are many small stores) and restaurants are also in the neighborhood.
I highly recommend this homestay, you won't find any other place for sure that provides this level of comfort. You feel like a home away from home. Totally under budget! I would love to come back and stay here in future.
It was nice experience to stay in Costa Gama Home Stay. The room, bedsheets were clean with a cool kitchen. The best part is the musical instruments and books which can be utilised by the visitors. It was having friendly atmosphere. Lots of greeneries.
Stayed at Costa Gama to visit Biennale. The host Ben is a sweet person, warm and welcoming. Suggested good places to visit and eateries and cuisines to try. The stay was so good for solo travelers with all basic amenities. Ben also treasures a collection of books which makes a small library for us to use. Will definitely visit with my friends during monsoon.
Very warm, cute keralite home stay. The people are as warm and welcoming. There’s wifi, water purifier, microwave, fridge and even a stove in case you wanna make tea or coffee.
An all round good experience for a bugdet travellor like me. Rooms were good. The hosts are incredibly sweet and helpful with everything and the location is close to the happenings of the city. 10/10 will visit again with my friends
Great place! Loved the stay here and it was perfect for us. Great space and it's very comfortable to stay. The only thing was no cross ventilation in our room and it was summer. But one can manage for this price it has to offers. The owner is super friendly, and will definitely come again here.
The accommodation was fantastic. The room was neat and tidy, with clean pillows and blankets. There was an impressive collection of books and musical instruments. Filtered water was readily available, and a common kitchen was provided. The provided WiFi service was extremely helpful, especially since we had to work during our stay. There were convenient bus stops close by, which provided access to both Fort Kochi and Ernakulam city. We preferred to eat at Ranis Vegetarian Restaurant, which was located nearby. Mr. Ben was a wonderful host, who provided us with excellent hospitality. We also had quality time with Mr. Ignatius ️
• Fantastic hospitality. • Calm, quiet and peaceful street. • Rich in greenery. • Value for money. • Neat and tidy place.
I loved this place, I went here at my first days in India and I felt like home, at first I had to stay 2 nights but then I stayed 2 more, highly recommended. I’d for sure go again next time.
I stayed here for a month in Costa Gama and it was an amazing experience.
Firstly the owner and his family were so kind, friendly and helpful. Safe place and amazing home stay. I made a lot of friends there from many countries. And it was fun living there. Try this place out!
Cozy, comfortable, budget friendly homestay with a welcoming host!
The homestay is located in a quiet lane, but also stone throw away from a junction from where both buses and rickshaws are available. Fort Kochi tourist centre is almost walkable, about a km away. The homestay is equipped with a functional kitchen, a common hall with interesting antiques and my room had a cute balcony too.
Benson is the host and his family are helpful, warm and courteous. The homestay easily feels like a home away and I would definitely recommend staying here.
I've been to Cochin for a couple of days during my leisure vacation. I chose to stay at Costa Gama as it was much affordable and had reviews among all other stays. Rooms were Super clean and Blanket, Pillow were Hygienic. A small balcony with full of plants. Amenities were top class, there was a Fridge, Oven, Stove, Water purifier. Books were arranged in shelf, you can read them during your leisure. There's wifi too.
Stay Owner Mr. Francis and his family are lovely people you can talk. Mr. Ignatius the Great old man he's a wonderful person. He's multilingual, he can speak what ever you speak.taught me some golden words that he learnt during his experience of life. It was a wholesome experience for me at Costa Gama. Wonderful accommodation. Location is decent. Very nice family runs the place. There’s a shared kitchen and common space with a digital piano (big plus for me) Room is basic but comfortable. I will stay again when I return to kochi one day.
A very good Homestay in every respect. Friendly helpful management, clean and comfortable rooms, good facilities including KITCHEN and wifi, convenient location and great value for money. Five stars
Benson and Shiny, The hosts are amazing people and their entire family made me feel at home immediately. They went above and beyond to help me during my stay; even when I got sick, they bought me food and medicines, cooked food for me: they checked on me daily. I was so touched by so much kindness! X The room was comfortable. A well equipped kitchen and a water filter system which was great. A pleasant common living space with a free library with some interesting books. EXCELLENT Internet Connection (WIFI). Definitely recommend Costa Gama to anyone coming to fort kochi.
