Country Spa Wellness Beach Resort

Quite new or recently renovated, not for yelderly people if have wheel chair will be good. Food was good to have 4 variety buffet style.

I recently visited and it was a good experience. They provide a decent room and the service and food was much better than I had anticipated. Overall it was a nice stay.

It was a nice experience with the country club. They provide a good room and the service was also fine. The main attraction of the club is the swimming pool and the private entrance to the sea. They well maintained the pool, and the entrance to the sea gave a nostalgic feeling. My son really enjoyed the trip.

Nice home like feeling while staying at this greenery filled resort! Good staff! Good staff. If you are looking for budget stay with full of enjoyment go for it.

Booked 2 rooms at this place. Had called the property before booking, stating to them that children want to use the pool and that is one of the main purpose of the visit. Also had specifically asked wether the pool had water and is the water green and filled with algae. Asked these because some of the user photos showed the pool to be empty and some showed the water green. The receptionist had clearly said the pool if fully functional and in pristine condition. On reaching, we were welcomed by the dimly lit and excessively warm reception which was least welcoming. The staff were cordial and hospitable. We were given room 201. On the way we saw the empty pool, the service staff said don't worry sir, there's another functional pool. We reached the room. The setup was actually good, with a common lobby and 2 rooms Upstairs and on ground floor. The rooms were also not well maintained. The nearby room had broken window and a rundown door. The main pool was dry and undergoing maintenance. Asked the service staff to show the back up pool. It was basically a large cement tank with green water and dirt settled all over.
We checked out within 10 minutes after reserving a room at a better resort and digesting our losses.
The strange thing is, none of the people at the reception even asked the reason for someone checking out within 10 minutes after payment and checking in.
Maybe that's their business. And it reflects in how the property is kept up.
Long story short, book some other place.

Budget friendly hotel. Good option for weekend hangout. Activities like swimming, badminton, volley ball, shooting archery. Family friendly. Kids will have great time here. Spa is not working right now.

This place has lost its standard in terms of upkeep and hygiene. There won't be a next stay here for sure.

Room size was good, bed was comfortable but Furniture was broken, Telivision was not working (set top box not there), 1swimming pool was empty, limited items were available from restaurant menu on high price, Located at narrow road. There is a shortcut for Grove beach (8-10min away)

Well behaved staffs and great supportive. Beach is walkable from resort. Rooms are not maintained after lockdown. Lot of maintenance required. Staff informed they are going to renovate.

The property was not maintained after the lockdown. They should have taken all the steps to clean the property when they decided to open up for tourists. Even after 4 months of tourism back to normal, they have not maintained the property well.

Pros:

1. Good location and nice ambience
2. Service guys and cleaning staffs were responing properly

Cons:

1. The moment I stepped in to the room, it was a great disappointment. The room was stinkig and the towels was not clean at all. The white towel had turned brown
(I asked for room spray and next day, requested them thorough cleaning which was done right. And towels were better. But I still wonder why had they provided that stained towel in the beginning)

2. The food was a nightmare. Ordered friedrice, Pooribhaji, gheeroast and biriyani
a. Friedrice was overcooked and not tasty
b. Breakfast for poori bhaji and ghee roast it took them 1 hour and 15 minutes to deliver and all the food was cold AF
c. Above all, the price was rocket high.
(I came to know that their old chef is not with them, currently they are running with a temperory arrangement. Why they have to charge for something which is not even half worthy
d Biriyani they bought from outside, they said since it was not available with them, still they charged their menu price

3. There were many insects, centipede within the room (Picture attached). I even got stinged by an insect from the pool.

4. Sanitarywares within bathroom was not at all clean anf was broken. Shower was damn dirty and we dont even feel to switch them on. Dirt particles was coming through tap

5. None of the intercomm was working

Verdict
I don't recommend visiting them, unless they are ready for hosting guests

We booked a room via OYO. The alloted room was a mess. Amenities specified in OYO were not provided. Toiletories provided were used ones. Shower was not working properly and only hot water was coming through tap. Curtains, bedsheets and blankets in the room was not neat and also foul smell was there in the room. A/C was not functioning properly. Drinking water was not provided and noone was responding when we tried to connect reception.

Even though the property was not properly maintained due to covid, Mr. Karthik and Mr. Kiran provided excellent customer service. However, Nishant was arrogant and unprofessional and even denied service twice. I am a member of country club since 2015 and never had such a bad experience.

Same like ghost house.the property is located at the end of the world. We cannot find out the location.really just trapped.

There is no management. When we arrived half of our group's booking was rejected, even though they had done a full payment well in advance. They were just left out without any compensation or help to relocate.
At times there is no one at reception to attend to your queries. The receptionist runs to his manager every other second to ask for any service queries. This manager person is no where to be seen at all.
The rooms are spacious but not well maintained. A fridge provided but it wasn't working. There was no intercom in one of the rooms. There was a tea maker without any sugar or tea bag. On requesting a tea bag the person said its out of stock.
The pool is extremely dirty. Even on requesting to clean the pool no one did anything about it.
The food is good but the resturant doesn't have half the things mentioned in the menu.

Beautiful location just a bit tricky to find and reach. Cost effective stay. Look of for room cleanliness especially fungi before checking in.

The worst resort i have ever visited. Never ever recommended for any kind of backpackers.staffs are very good and helpful but they are helpless. Very poorly maintained, not even a good toilet. Poor quality food.

One star only for bigger rooms.
Restaurant is pathetic.
No sports facilities except not so clean swimming pool.
Access to beach is not good for kids and elderly.

I Love this place. There are many hotels & resorts in Kovalam. But this one really unique.the resort located in Asoka Beach.its real quiet & Calm place, Very Easy to get booking from this hotel & the atmosphere here is very heartwarming.this resort have various types of rooms for various prices.including one swimming pool one floating spa, one restaurant, one Banquet hall, Outdoor Games, Garden space, spacious car parking outside the resort.enjoy with friends & Family. The view near by the hotal. About the country spa Hotel. It's wonderful and can be affordable by normal person. Good hygiene, well maintained pool.

Very poor. Worst staff. I am member of country club and I book room already 3 month back. When I reach same room will be allotted to other one. Even staff doesn't have sencs how to speak with customer. Room service have not phone. Lots of mosquitoes. Bed is very bed even bed shett is not proper. I click some image will share you. I request donot take country club membership.

Room quality is just okey.but the outside ambience and the constructions are obviously good.very poor food in taste and quality.

Roads are very narrow, only one car can get on the road at a time.

Price is high, book it from oyo.

I have been here several times before and it was a good place. But over the years the standard as degraded. This time I had the worst experience. The rooms are not well maintained. They have taken up oyo franchise therefore quality has significantly decreased. The rooms are not well maintained. The breakfast has very few items. Service not that good. They must work on improving the quality of service and food. Most importantly they must start maintenance of the resort. Very dissatisfied and disappointing.

Only location and out look is good.otherwise it's required renovation.and learn to how to make food.nd how to go for service

It was terribly disappointing. It is a very poorly maintained property with very mucky pool, stinky rooms n toilets. All the buildings were having cracks from not maintaining or doing the repair works. The furnitures were all in the verge of collapsing. Food was just average. Bedsheets n towels were not changed and had stains on them.

Really good ambience. We could not go to the pool till 11pm as there were so many people there. Room floor was not clean, there was sand everywhere. Other wise it's good

Good place to retire, reaching there is awesome. It is on the opposite side of kovalam beach, off from ksrtc route. Further they have somewhat good arrangements for the season, expecting guests from November only

Would have given zero if it was possible.very poorly maintained property.the room and the toilet were stinking. Most of the buildings were having cracks from not maintaining.furnitures were all in the verge of collapsing. Food was just average. Bedsheets and towels were not changed and had stains.it had two pools- one was completely green and dirty whereas the other seemed blue and dirty.

Rooms are good, no WiFi, no in room dine, swimming pool that no person can get (so dirty), pathetic service in restaurant, right now I am waiting since ten mins, I called one person to take order, still didn't came, never try this resort.

Rooms are ok, the overall ambiance is not well appreciated, but it's ok, since it was off-season and some maintenance works were still goin on, the beach is somewhat close and has access through the backyards of this property, really bad experience with the food we ordered and has been asked to be replaced, quality quantity and taste is not at all impressive. Wud suggest people to look nearby restaurants if possible. I wud recommend to have a check with other properties near before going with this. Parking space is available though the road access is really poor, narrow roads to reach this place in a car makes ur life difficult.

Amazing sea view room and u can also stargaze if you are lucky. Secondly i was travelling with my baby and people were extremely cooperative. Spa isn't great hence i took away one star.

Decent hotel, spacious rooms, well maintained, hygienic and wide menu restaurant, parking options, isolated from mainland kovalam yet close to the beach, nice getaway. There's scope for improvement though

4. Good north indian food

Cons:
1. Need to maintain property up to its full potential as shown in brochure.
2. Rooms needs some other mordey amenities

Very bad resort.they don't have even hyjenic wash rooms.pool is in very pathetic condition.no greeneries.over all poor condition.

Main pool was under renovation, secondary pool was cleaner than the previous review but still yhe water filterations systems they use needs improvement. Rooms - when a cleaning service was asked only towels were changed and soaps added, they cleared the room service cutlery but forgot to replace the used drinking glasses with fresh ones. Sheets had slight spots on it so did the towles. Food - first morning the breakfats was delicious everyone in the family (12pax) were happy (met expectations) but day 2 breakfats wasnt that great aloo paratha was dry and was mssing aloos. View - slight walk you can hit the beach its an amazing view. Loved it during sunset.

Also kitchen to room service is slow due to limited staffing.

If possible avoid this place.

Property in shambles and undergoing renovation. The swimming pool, games room etc are all being renovated. With nothing to do and see on the property and considering its location, it's just not worth a visit. The staff though was courteous throughout our brief visit.

Nice resort but horribly maintained. Stinky toilet. Fittings not kept in proper condition. Worse still is to charge in excess. Payment for breakfasts was paid in advance. But they again added in the final bill. When highlighted, they denied. But on presentation of documents, they had no option but to return the excess amount charged.

Ambience is good, room service is good, house keeping service is good, restaurant looks good but dishes on the menu are not available any time.

They have two pools, and one was under renovation and other one was really ugly water. It seems water has not been changed for a long time. There is a way to beach from the rear gate of the resort. But the path is not arranged well. We have to walk through the thick bushes, also can met stray dogs on the way. Food was okay and on check out time, they didn't accept the card. Luckily I had enough money in my wallet to pay. Otherwise I need to drive upto the atm, Bypass road through the narrow road.
