Curry Leaf Restaurant

The food at Curry Leaf is delicious, full of flavour and richness, also beautiful view of the ocean and beach. We tried a many different restaurants in the area, but nothing comes close to the quality of Curry Leaf! Also the banana and coconut pancakes for breakfast is yummy!

The undeniable and only advantage of this place is the view of the ocean.
The food is more or less good overall. Everything needs to be double-checked, the price and volume of food must be clearly stated.
The tablecloths were dirty, they asked to replace them, they brought a tablecloth with one less big stain. We were greatly upset by his familiarity and rudeness by a dark man with a mustache, who seemed like a normal person, but he told my wife things for which she either had to take a tsugunder or never come to this place again. I chose the second one, they didn’t come again. Still on vacation, we found more interesting cafes and restaurants closer to the lighthouse.

Excellent, stayed with Yoga Retreat for 2 weeks. Very nice location with an ocean view! And Fabulous Food!

Excellent food, friendly staff and great ambience. Lovely to hear the sounds of waves as we ate.

We got a tuctuc from main tourist area in Kovalam for 100rup. You need to walk a little along the beach with dim lighting but we were greeted and escorted by someone who worked at the restaurant with a torch.
We had a mixture of veggie and meat dishes which were all delicious and the paratha was AMAZING, best we've had all trip.

The best restaurant in the place. Food quality is absolutely delicious and so is the staff behaviour. I would've given 5 stars unless the place was so cramped up.

Been eating here all week as part of a feldenkrais holiday. Excellent staff, so friendly. Food is great and hygine is 5 star. Highly recommended if you are on Kovalam Beach

During my treatment days at Pathya Ayurvedic Treatment centre, which is nearest to Curry leaf restaurant Kovalam, I used to visit this beautiful restaurant mostly every day. The restaurant serves mostly all type of cuisines, whether it is italian, chinese etc. I ordered authentic kerala vegetarian cuisines and it was delicious. I Highly recommend this restaurant in kovalam for tasty and delicious food.

I prefer the restaurant near "lobster" much more familiar.very kind staff.entirely local management.

Very good and ordering is not a hastle at all. Chef is excellent and prepares as per your taste and requirement. Service is very quick and atleast for us he had brought the order within 15 mins. Very good ambience, view of beach is very nice and attractive. Visit during dawn or sunset for the best view.

Was quiet when we went so not best atmosphere. Food was OK but did expect a little better after all the rave reviews. We had somasas to share, chicken biryani & she had big (shell-off) prawns in an oyster sauce. Passable

We are staying at the Palm Tree Yoga Centre next door and having both breakfast and evening meals there. The views over Kovalam are fantastic, the food is stunning, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The manager of the yoga centre has even arranged for us to have a cookery lesson with the restaurant tomorrow! We're looking forward to improving our Indian cookery skills, but if we can produce did half as good as we've been eating I'll be happy!

Lovely ambience, worthy price and the dishes are Soooooo yummie. They really know what they are doing.

My experience in particular was not good. While paying they didnt have swiping machine and we didnt had cash.so they offered that we go to atm with one of their men. The auto people usually charges 70rs so we were ok. But once we reached the hotel guy demanded 200rs saying that he needs to go back to hotel and we need to pay for that. When we said we will only pay 70, both the auto wala and hotel guy started threatening us and few more people joined. At the end we had to pay the full amount.

I dont know whether this happened to just us or its a dirty business trick, so please be aware.

About the food, it was ok but the view from the hotel was amazing.
