Durbar Hall Art Gallery

Parking: Same parking space as Durbar Hall ground. The ground and the gallery are in the same location, next to each other.
Entry fee: None, when we went there. There was an exhibition going on when we went, there was no ticket counter anywhere.
Toilets: Did not see any signboards pointing to any.

It was the Darbar Hall of the old Kochi Kingdom, now used as an art/exhibition center. It is one of the unique buildings in Kerala with a blend of Kerala and British architecture. It is located near the Ernakulathappan Temple, just around 200 meters from Jos Junction on MG Road. The hall on the 1st floor is amazing.

This place exhibits great work from several talented artists. If you're interested in art, this place is for you. The building is really well maintained and is very spacious. Many varieties of artworks are displayed here. It has a room full of art works by artist T. K. Padmini (1940 - 1969), who was an Indian painter from the state of Kerala. They also have a small room for VR, which is a great experience if you're new to it. If you wanna see something new or mind blowing, definitely visit this place. Highly recommended.

This place is very well kept.one of the best art galleries in Kerala is in Ernakulam; it is always hosting exhibitions of paintings and other works by different artists; it is conveniently positioned close to the junction train station; and it is set in lovely settings. Sketchbooks were on display in the lower gallery, and prominent artists' installations and paintings were in the upper gallery. What a wonderful location it is. The Hall is lovely, and I frequent there with my friends. The majority of the artworks were engrossing and thought-provoking. Great concept for an art-lovers' date. It's pleasant to lounge around and unwind underground as well. Pigeons are many here, and parking is plentiful as well.

One of the finest places for art exhibitions in Cochin city. With traditional Kerala architectural style and ample lighting.

Did not get a seating as the wait time was more than an hour. We were hungry. Who's gonna wait one hour?

Visited the art exhibition called 'idam' by malayali artists as a part of kochi Biennale. Entrance was free. Ample parking space. Well maintained. Liked it

It's a best place to spend your time, if you are bored at usual views of Kochi. There is lot of art works by different artists are exhibited. You can spend your time on watching and understanding the meanings of these works. And outside of the gallery there is Durbar Hall ground, you can sit there peacefully

Kerala's one of the prominent art gallery have great tredition of famous artists across the globe.

Very good place to visit, well maintained and the staffs are very kind, friendly and informative. Its on the side of durbar hall which is located on the main road side. The art gallery is well built and full of wooden floors and steps. It contains lots of memory pics of hindi film and art direction. Another room consists of drawings which are in high scale and it takes time to understand all. If we could spend all time and only if we have interest its better.

Has always been adding value to art and their artists life.it's amazing to visit there and learn and grow mind sets to another level

Durbar hall art gallery is one of the best art galleries in Kerala and located at DH road, Ernakulam.exhibitions of eminent artists are available here at all times and is always live.the location is at a prime area with very good parking space, good ambience and in a peaceful atmosphere though at the middle of the city.it's very close to Ernakulam Siva temple.the paintings and sculptures exhibited here is really worth and has a global value.ametuar artists works are also exhibited here.it's a great encouragement for those youngsters.it's really a worth place for art lovers.

A wonderful space to explore the art exhibited as well as be in awe of the interiors, especially the ceiling.

The galleries are very well maintained. Silent, cool and well lighted.

I went on 24th Feb during the bienalle. Maybe it's their arrangement. Either way I loved the experience.

The attending employees were kind enough to explain the works of Mrinalini, Padmini, KP Krishnakumar and Chittaprosad.

Beautiful work as part of the Biennale. Very well presented. Lovely staff. Very clean and cool.

As an art lover i always visit exhibitions set at this place. Its a beautifully organised venue for conducting such events. Ambience, reachability are good.
