Flower Valley Plantation Homestay

We had a short but very nice stay here. The room was the most beautiful and well-kept of our entire trip to India! The garden is incredibly beautiful, we were looked after very lovingly. Thank you!

You won’t find a quainter place than this little gem hidden away in the foothills above Munnar. We enjoyed strolling along the rural roads taking in the sights and sounds of rural Kerala and ended with a cup of masala chai at Zero Degrees restaurant overlooking the Letchmi Tea Estate. Our host Abin and his delightful elderly parents took great care of us in our two day stay.

Had a very pleasant experience with the homestay. The property is simply breathtaking, with picturesque and serene views. The rooms and decor is lively. The best part is the ample greenery and beautiful flowers all around! Abin and his family are great hosts. Loved the local cuisine served, simple yet sumptuous food. Would definitely recommend to other people!

We really enjoyed our stay here. I'd highly recommend, especially if you're looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. One can spend hours observing nature, sitting by the rivulet, or taking a walk in their flower nursery. Huge shoutout to Abin and family. They're really caring and responsive. The food is awesome. Munnar town is 30 mins away, but that's not a problem given the awesome roads and beautiful sights around.

Certainly one of the highlights of our Kerala trip was this homestay in Munnar. It's right out of a storybook. Abin the host was super warm and helpful and gave us a nice little tour of their plantation/garden that's home to possibly everything you can think of. The home cooked meals were delicious and the property/rooms were just perfect ; clean, spacious and cosy. We tried clicking as many pictures as we could but they don't do this place any justice. You need to experience this in person.

Great place with great host. The room is very spacious, suite style. They are prepared with very high standard. Nice and clean bathroom area, comfortable bed with clean linen. Especially the host, Abin is so kind and helpful. He arranged tours, taxi service and even helped me booking bus. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, clean and comfortable place near Munnar, this is the one. His mother is also so helpful and served me very delicious local breakfast and dinner.

The best thing about our vacation to Kerala was staying at "Flower Valley". We chose to book this place for 3 nights purely based on the reviews from other travellers & it was worth it. The hospitality & affection shown by Abin & Ancy aunty is by-par the best you could ever experience. From guiding you to the place, recommending off-beat places to visit, to making sure everything with your stay and travel is fine and finally the delicious, mouthwatering authentic Kerala dishes that aunty cooks (Gosh! I still can't get over the fish curries & fry.)
I'd highly recommend Flower Valley to anyone visiting Munnar and loves nature, peaceful enviornment & want to experience the food/culture first hand.

A serene, tranquil stay. The room and property are exceptionally well appointed - it felt like a piece of heaven with all the flowers and surrounding forest. The hospitality of the family here was second to none, they could not have been more helpful or caring.

Only minor feedback would be that the bed mattress was too soft and a little uncomfortable.

Flower valley is a beautiful property, surrounded by the lush greenery and beautiful flowers. Abin and family were such warm hosts. The room was very clean and spacious with all the amenities. Home cooked meals were delicious. The host was very responsive, and fulfilled all our needs. If you are going to Munnar, the is the place to stay.

It was great ambience staying at this property. Food was amazing, it was tasty and yummy and at reasonable rates. Good surroundings, a lot of small attractive locations in and around. Abin and his family is super friendly and nice

I have nothing but good things to say about Abin and his family. He was incredible, 100% making sure we had the best experience possible, giving us recommendations and finding us rides/pick ups as well as connecting us to local companies.

His mother is an exceptional cook, and a very sweet welcoming woman. She often seated with us during meals, made sure everything was good and we had great conversations.

Finally the place is beautiful, the perfect location close enough but at the same time far from the business of Munnar. Abin's father takes care of this beautiful garden with a lot of plants and flowers they sell to local homestays and hotels.

I am truly glad I had the chance to meet them and I would recommend this to everyone!

We stayed three days in that wonderful farmstay located in the beautiful Munnar area. The place is surroundet from nature, spice plants, fowers and wonderful big trees. Our room was comfortable, large and bright. But the best are the hosts. They are such nice and helpful people. The food was more then excellent and they serve self grown and roasted coffee. Very tasty. We are looking forward to come back.

Heavenly location and a home in the middle of serene forest. The hosts are lovely and generous. They have a lovely garden and a nursery right in front yard. The room has separate bedroom and a living area. A common area for different rooms and a balcony for each room. Very well maintained hygiene and meals are so fulfilling and hearty.

Didnt get to stay at the property since i had to cancel the stay on the payment terms. Made booking through Agoda and they didnt prompt any option for payment but pay at hotel. Soon after booking confirmation on Agoda, I received an email from Property to make atleast 50% of the payment in advance. I am 100% ok with making full advance payment but not the way payment terms were dealt with. Prop owner need to have clear communication with Travel app to ensure customer is delivered with whats promised. If you can’t accept Pay at hotel option, ensure its not offered for your prop.
Its the hassle and not able to deliver promised which prompted this review.

Clean, hospitality good, fine suite, weather was nice and cool.country side unpolluted away from urban areas, rooms non-ac but we did not need ac, veg food was well made and served, lovely garden around of several types of plantation including cardamum, quiet place for relaxation.

Can't stress enough on how lovely Abin's family and how beautiful their home is. Won't be staying at any other place in Munnar whenever I visit again!

The location of the property is serene, outside of the usual commercial side of Munnar. The property is near adimali on the way to Mankulam. The drive to the property is so beautiful if you drive from Munnar via Viripara. The views from the property are also breathtaking. Hygienic food and facilities. Great stay for any type of travellers. Good food. Worth every penny! The host is one the most welcoming people I have ever come across. He also guided us to the places to visit during our stay and arranged for off-road exploration in Jeep. They also have a nursery inside, beautiful gardens and cardamom plantation. Happy to have stayed there:)

Best homestay I ever stayed in. Best Hospitality with excellent facilities and beautiful views. Love the ambience too. Its very quiet and peaceful. If you're a nature lover you will love this place for sure. Tasty homemade food served at a reasonable price. Also best location and absolutely safe. Will visit again next time for sure.

It's a very beautiful place to stay. The host is very friendly and helpful. Aunty works very hard for the dishes to make it very delicious. I would to recommend this place to anyone who loves silent, serene and calm environment.

Flower valley is one of my favourite place because of its lush green and silent atmosphere. I felt like staying in my home after reaching flower valley. They all were treating like their family member rather than a guest. Aunty always cooks healthy and tasty food. As a plant lover, I was excited after knowing about the nursery. I could see a large number of plants. Abin bro always helped us in selecting the places to visit and assisted always.

An excellent space to spend a couple of days, rooms are clean and the food they provide are tasty and home made. Quite and serene atmosphere.

A beautiful place to stay amidst all the lush greenery and flower plantations. I was amazed by the hospitality and service I received here. Abin and his family were amazing host’s. The food was super delicious. Such a loving family. They were ready to help us out with each and everything. They made us feel like home and extremely comfortable. The rooms were luxurious with all the five star amenities. The view from the rooms and balcony were a treat to the eyes.

I & my wife wanted to change our work from Home to Munnar for a week, & things seems to fall perfectly in line.
Good Home stay with in Flower Valley, Cardamom plantations & natural beauty to check out during our work break times also proximity to Tea plantation estates, water falls & lucky to catch glimpse of wild elephants at aanakulam.
All Meals were served to us to our door like my mom does it when I am busy at work.
We experienced ''Home away from Home'' with Abin's family.

A serendipitous encounter after desperately seeking a place to stay. The host and his family welcomed us with open arms and went the extra mile to accomodate us. The room and facilities reflects the Kerela hospitality with exceptional quality. The Flower Valley Homestay is gorgeous and well kept, a testimony to a passion for nature and gardening. This was the highlight of our stay so far in Kerela. I can account this to the lush jungle and glorious mountain views, but it is the kind and gracious attitude of the people, from locals at a tea stand to fellow travellers among the road. The Flower Valley’s owners are the epitome of this beautiful trait. We had the most wonderful dinner and a royal night’s rest, as the washroom is luxorious and the bed is heavenly. The room was in pristine condition. The quality of experience outshines the price! It was a truly special to be in walking distances of waterfalls and sunrise/sunset views from mountain tops. This accomodation is a must on your travel itinerary!

Relax homestay gave me a wonderful experience. Great hospitality. And the host was excellent and respond us at every time. Rooms and Bathrooms very clean and tidy. Would definitely visit this place again.

Pros - the setting is beautiful and the food is lovely. The mum is really nice.
Cons - the room and bathroom is really damp and full of black mould. It's on the ceilings, the curtains, the pillows-everywhere! When I raised the issue, the manager said he knew about it, but didn't seem to think it was much of a problem. He told me I shouldn't worry because they will be doing renovations in a couple of months. The room should not be sold in the state it's in. Cleanliness was also an issue, with dead bugs all over the bathroom and a dead lizard that seemed to have been there for a long time.

Very good & safe homestay. Room was very clean and spacious. We booked breakfast & dinner for 3 days during our stay.all these days they prepared verity of dishes & i have to admit it's the tastiest food i ever eaten in kerala. Food was home made & delicious. The host Mr. Abin is friendly & polite. So visitors can expect good service. Greenary around the homestay is beautiful & gives pleasant feeling for visitors. Recommended for both family & friends.

My partner and I had an incredible time at Flower Valley Plantation Homestay. We were welcomed by Abin’s mother who treated us like family for the duration of our stay. She catered to our tastebuds by making delicious spicy food and went out her way by making us a yummy traditional Keralan dessert. The garden is beautiful and full of dragon flies making the place look magical. We would highly recommend this homestay as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much.

A nice home with a beautiful garden and an amazing host. The lady of the house is so nice and she cooks very meals. If you ask politely she will give you a tour of her garden and nursery which is worth a visit!

Unfortunately, the room was not cleaned properly before we arrived and there is an issue with humidity in the bathroom which caused the room to be humid and damp. Although the room was built fairly recently, the bathroom was poorly designed (tiny fan extractor at an awkward position), as a result the humidity is trapped in the room and there is black mould all over the shower curtain, some on the wall and some in the bedroom (the pillows need changing ASAP).

The other issue was that the son who manages the B&B bookings lives in Kochi and he had not told his mum about the prices we agreed on before staying at Flower Valley Plantation Homestay. We ended up arguing over the bill in the end which was a shame because we were having a great time until then. The mum was ok in the end but it was really unfair for her and for us as the son had not communicated with his mum accordingly. Lastly, when we pointed out all the above mentioned issues to the son, his general answer was very disappointing. Although he admitted the mould was an issue, he didn’t seem to worry very much about having guests staying in the room and being exposed to it (see screenshot attached)

Also the WiFi did not work when we were there.

Pleasant homestay with home cooked breakfast and dinner. Nice place to take rest since it is away from Munnar town.

I had one of the most memorable trip and enjoyed every bit of staying @ this place. I stayed here for complete Munnar trip of 4 days.
Host Abin and his mom were really helpful. To begin with, I had some plans for sightseeing but was not sure, so Abin made the plan for us and he changed it when we wanted to accommodate some specific places. He booked the cab and also Jeep Safari which was really wonderful.

Coming to accommodation, it is maintained really well. All perfect. The garden outside home is beautiful. And aunty was gracious to show us around the garden.

Food is excellent. You could mention preference of food/time.
We tasted some yummy Kerala food and also other dishes which we wanted.

Cleanliness is excellent.

They are constantly checking if we are ok or something needs to be changed, which is excellent hospitality. They went out of their way to help me.

Wonderful homestay in the middle of a valley - one very comfortable room in a beautiful home with a beautiful garden as part of a plant nursery. Very easy to arrange, delicious dinner and breakfast, excellent wifi, calm and beautiful views and most of all the warmest of welcomes

Home stay and Ambiance was good, We asked Abin as breakfast is free do they provide lunch and dinner also and how much do they charge then he replied you are our guest feel at home and we thought its free, it was a surprise for us on the last day of the stay, has we have been asked to pay for the food. Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food charges are pretty high and the same chicken curry was given for 2 days as its a home stay i was expecting freshly made food for every meal, Non-veg curry was below average.we had been charged 400/- for Vegetarian and 500/- for Non- Vegetarian (2 adults and 1 child).

Paying for food was not the problem if they would informed us when we have asked the charges and we would have been aware that its chargeable.

Near by there is a small hotel, food is good and for 220/- we had 2 meals and 3 fish fry (2 adults and 1 child).
