Garudagiri Toddy shop offers incredibly tasty food; however, I don't personally recommend having dinner there. After 5 pm, the place tends to attract a lot of flies, which can spoil the dining experience and food quality.
Food & taste was tasty. Atmosphere as always very good and family oriented. Weekends are crowded but the wait is worth. We had a great time with family
There are much better places in and around Allappuzha District. This place is much hyped. Food is okay. This is more commercialized version of Toddy Shop. Food is not spicy at all.
Slightly overpriced. Make sure you're getting meat and not onion. We got basically onion fry while ordering beef fry or something. I don't know if they do the same with kallu like in some bars in Goa
We visited garudagari with my family and relatives unfortunately the food taste was not expected which I heard from reviews, they should manage the food quality more.
Having shaap food for the first time. Garudagari kept up to its fame. The prawn dish was a bit expensive. Pork dish, porotta, fish curry, everything was super tasty. But the toddy was not very nice.
Food provided was not up to the standards, like - Appam, Duck Roast. Etc However the services given by them are Ok. Pace in getting orders are mentionable
Kappa, toddy, fish, prawns, duck, clams.you name it.all available here. Enjoy food in hut-like sitting arrangements in privacy and surrounded with water. Great place to have true Kerala experiences for food and ambience.
Much like what others have mentioned in this space, it's the road to the restaurant that's the real test. Food was delicious, though a tad bit expensive compared to similar toddy shops in the district. The place gets really crowded during the weekends. Friendly and polite staff.
Waste food and no proper service.had to wait for a long time for getting a hut to sit. The ordered dishes were so salty and and some items which we ordered were not delivered on time. After taking a long time they told, everything got overed
Have got a very sad and disappointed experience with Garudakari toddy shop today. We have gone altogether with our family by seeing the review over the internet, but had got such a bad experience their. The food was not as satisfactory as we thought to be. There was no proper service and we had to wait for a long time. The food was salty and ordered dishes was not servered. After waiting for a long time, when we asked them about the pre ordered dishes, they told everything has got overed and haven't shown the courtesy to inform us at the earliest. Will never and ever advise anyone to with such a pathetic toddy shop anymore.
I would give this place 6 stars if it wasn't for the road to get there. That was enough to loosen every joint in the body! The setting was great, the food was exceptional. The pork, the duck, the prawns, the fish, the clams. Loved it all and the toddy was a bonus. Don't miss it or the bone rattling drive.
It was a very good experience with them.i loved all the dishes they served especially their crab curry.customer service is also good.they provide clean and neat atmosphere (washrooms too). A good family restaurant
Tasy food, nice vibe. Wide varities of kuttandan dishes available. Must try varal pollichath. Lunch also available. Car parking available. Huts are arranged for families.
Garudakari is one of the popular toddy shop in kuttanad, due to high popularity and lots of visitors from outside kuttanad their services become costly & taste of food not up to the mark now.
This was my first visit after lock down, place was crowded on a Saturday noon. Two of us were charged with Rs. 910/- for two meals, one Karimeen pollichathu, one small plate kakka fry and one toddy pot.
Tilapia was served instead of Karimeen and charged 400 rs.where it is available for 250-280 range in other restaurants.
Kakka fry usually charged at 60, rs was changed at 140.
We asked for sweet Toddy, and they gave something with mix. With one glass of that, started feeling some kick.
Worse food ever, very bad service too. I will never visit there again. They serve duck curry with feathers and uncooked appam. Duck meat tasted like cardboard, what a waist of time and money.
You will get a different experience if you are really fed up with other hotels. The puzhuk there is good. But It’s sooo hard to park the car. A little inside from the AC road. The food is not good when we compare with other toddy shops. The just fry everything or put a ton of chilli powder. Don’t expect any taste. Toddy is very bad there.
Amazing place Great food at a reasonable price. The toddy is absolutely yummy too Would recommend this for families on any given day. Enjoyed the food and service. This is slightly away from the highway, located right beside the backwaters. People are super nice, but the rush makes it tough for them to provide a super good hospitality.
Good A different experience you will get if you are really fed up with the hotels. The puzhuk there is good.

So beautiful family kallu shap near by edathua and alappuzha. Around 20 small huts arranged. Awesom food available here. Car parking is available here.
Real taste of Alappuzha. All varieties of non veg food. Toddy, different varieties of fish, meat, chicken, etc. Good natured ambiance. Preferred for families also.
Food is damn delicious.beaf is a must.tried all delicacies and all are really good. Good and fast service. Toddy is natural and the best one I ever had
One of the best toddy shap in alappuzha, you get tasty and quality food, nice ambience, you can visit with family. Good service, here you will getgood quality toddy also.
One of the best toddy shop in Kerala. I visited many times. The sea food in this toddy shop are really amazing. Varal fry, karimeen fry and most special thing is the normal lunch with non veg side dishes. The huts inside the toddy shop give us more privacy. And the Paddy field around the toddy shop is really mesmerizing.
Tasty food. Very good ambience. They are periodically making an artifical rain to make the whether cool. This toddy shop is in the middle of a paddy field so a good breez is always there. Supplying is not that good. We have ordered kappa with variety of side dishes.
A perfect& safe family toddy shapp. Very friendly & nice behavior of staff, superb delicious & tasty food with average price. Family's got a separate section which is accepted by everybody. Recommend this place. We really enjoyed our time with family over there. Planning to go there pretty soon.
It is located besides paddy fields and backwaters, and there is always the cool breeze serving the small shacks of the restaurant. The food is tasty and is of kuttanad style. Duck roast, prawns and coconut toddy served in clay pots are the major delicacies.
Nice place to enjoy a special natural toddy drink, the individual cottage ambience is really nice and beside the back water flow and the item test is really good the most what I liked is a special dish and strong for health is made of jack fruit kichidi with nice Fish curry.
