Spread out in a small forest with very limited number of cottages. All you can see is only greens in different shades and heights. Just staying for 2 days will give you much needed detox and wonderful refreshment. Food and service was excellent. Very hospitable and kids friendly, and very clean rooms and green environment.

Very good place. Excellent staffs. Nice ambience to spend a night. They also have near by property were passion fruits and lot other fruits are grown. Safe place for couples and family.

We traveled with our 8 month old and we had our best time staying at Golden fern to say the least. The service was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful ️ Coming back to the resort next time we visit Munnar/Kanthalloor!

It's a good place to spent some time peacefully, it's away from town/city and only available network coverage here is Jio. If you would like to enjoy a village life and wanna see some good people you can visit this place and stay in Golden fern.

Excellent stay.must visit property for unwinding and to be away from the hustle bustle of city life.spot on service provided by all the staffs.they were fully booked but never faltered to provide service with a smile day and night. Home style food was an added advantage. All in all made our vacation memorable

Not much varieties in food, other than that everything was exceptional. Kudos to prasadh for his service

Food was readily prepared with good taste. Friendly staff - they let us stay an extra hour post checkout while we were waiting for the cab, rooms can be clean especially the bed covers and pillow covers. Expect bugs flying in because of the location. Stay is quiet peaceful surrounded by serene view. Bathroom will stink if you don't keep the exhaust fan on.

The ambience of the place was very cosy. Those who like to have a getaway from crowd and relax at a faraway place inbetween the beauty of mountains this place is good. No much sight seeing places nearby though. Only suggestion i would give to the hotel management that some renovations needs to be done to the room walls since its kinda faded. But the bathrooms and room bedding and bathroom towels are very clean.

We had a quiet and homely stay at this beautiful resort. We were a family of two who wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of crowded places. We got just that. Had long walks along beautiful pathways. Bought fresh vegetables etc.from nearby small shops.
Special thanks to the calm and caring Vipin who managed our booking and everything else. We wish him luck.
The food prepared by Joel was very tasty. You tell him your wishes and he puts his best into it. Special thanks to Krishnan and Prashanth for everything else. Our guide and Prabu is an expert driver who showed us around Kanthaloor. We will definitely return.

One of the best resort in Kantallor l. Had a wonderful time here, Staff were really cooperative.

It will be a hype to call it a resort. Basically nothing is there to make it special. If you are used to living in cities, you will generally like Idukki district due to lush greenery and mountains and cold weather. Except that absolutely nothing. Car Parking is big problem due to slope. Food is over priced and strictly average. There was no Sambar for lunch.

Friendly staffs, gave us an upgrade to superior mountain view rooms, arranged transport for sight seeing in the evening and also the next day morning, it was a pleasant stay.

1. Chef was on leave - hence food was provided from outside restaurents. No good restaurents near by.
2. Mud house is too small, cannot accomodate 2 adults and kid. No facility to keep the luggage in mud house- other room was okay.

Clean and neat rooms in wonderful location for families and couples. The staff here are really good. Must checkout the farms in kanthaloor.

Great place for family stay. Mr. Krishnan the caretaker was of great help. Also Mr. Sreejith had arranged food and sightseeing. His team is also great. All together Kanthaloor is a great location and definitely Golden Fern is a good option to stay for families.

Nice location with good clean rooms though we found the staff a little inexperienced and not so helpful.

It is very unfortunate that I had a bad experience here. The room which they provided was not very clean, there were lot of dust and spider nets inside the room, I requested the caretaker to replace the room if possible, since I have dust allergy, he said no other rooms are available. He finally cleaned the room but I was not happy since when I checked in, the room was wet and he said they just cleaned it. I noticed that this room (106) is having a common kitchen and no separation with the balcony of the room. When I asked about it, the caretaker guy said they will close it. But till late night they were using the kitchen and lot of noice from that area. There is no privacy for the people who stays in this room. I believe this is because of the MMT booking, and they feel that, people who are booked through MMT are serviced free of cost. I have noticed that there is no hand/bath towels, soap, tea bags or a kettle in the room. I have requested for bath towels and soap, the caretaker guy said no bath towels, it is given for dry wash, he will try to get a hand towel. I was wondering, because, without the basic things, they are accepting all these bookings. Finally he managed to get a towel but it was not clean, but no soap. During night, the care taker guy again knocked the door, and said I ordered dinner, Chappathy and Chicken Curry, I said I am a vegetarian and did not order anything for dinner. He shown my phone number in one sms and said I ordered. He is not convinced and I lost around 15 minutes to make that guy convinced. I don't know whether he is convinced though. I never recommend this hotel for couples who are booking through MMT.

Such a Great Good resort, good atmosphere. Our family together enjoyed this resort. ️We can Ensure that Golden Fera is the best Resort to stay. If you are going to visiting kanthallor, marayoor please stay in thiz resort and Experience it directly. Very clean Resort. The peoples are there also very helpful. Very Good

Good for 2 days & 1 night stay. Can enjoy camp fire night and enjoy your food in the open nature. Nothing much for sight seeing.

Spacious and cosy rooms. We chose Superior rooms. Care taker Mr. Krishnan is a super host. Food is Ok type. However there is a small restaurant just outside the gate which gives super tasty Kerala food.

We are thrilled to visit Kanthalloor last weekend. It was one of our best hill station experience so far. We had a stay in Golden Fern Resort, Kanthalloor with family, group of 12 members. The resort was above our expectation, worth to money. Nice location, easy accessibility, situated on the main road itself. The rooms where super clean and loaded with all modern amenities. Food was also good and hygiene. Our hearty thanks to Mr. Krishna (Manager come guide come, a super friendly person). He was with us throughout the trip, shown different places, help us buying local stuffs and sharing interesting incidences about elephants and wild life. His presence helped us a lot
I highly recommend Golden Fern Resort for others.
Only problem we faced about mobile coverage. Zero signal with almost every mobile operators. Only BSNL working in few areas.

Great Place to to Stay with decent facilities. I recommend for families as well as for youth. The help provided by Mr Krishnan was awesome.

It was a luxurious stay surrounded by the soothing cold breeze and the wholesome beauty of nature.
The stay in the mud house ignited the traditional and nostalgic feel and impressions of good old times.
The place is so vast and beautiful. There are umpteen space and ambience for a lovely stay. We could walk freely enjoying the serenity and calmness of the place and it has got enough space for setting up a bonfire too.
The friendly staff (Krishnettan) at Golden Fern treated us with the utmost care and made us feel home. The palatable authentic dishes were so yummy that we couldn't just stop with one.
The place is rich in eco-friendly scenery. Different variety of flowers, flourished plantations of Orange, Passion fruit, Apple etc makes Golden Fern a heavenly experience.
It is thus not just a resort, but a place that can fill you with many superfluous memories to cherish all the life.

The best resort to stay in kanthaloor. The price of rooms are little higher when compared to other resorts. This is due to best in class facilities provided at goldern fern. The rooms were neat and comfortable for families to stay, Each rooms are separate cottages. The staff at resort was very kind, friendly and helpful. Total they have 6 cottages (3 superior rooms and 3 mountain view rooms) and one mud house. I suggest you to go for mountain view rooms.approxmately 2500 to 3000. They provide live barbeque and campfire on demand (extra chargable). No complementary breakfast provided, They will arrange on request.
