Golden Kitchen

We visited this place on a Sunday. Food is just average. Only chicken steak, from the items that we ordered, was good and felt worth. Rest all items were just average or below average, in taste.

Food-
Had their beef tenderloin steak and their fried rice and chili chicken combo. The fried rice combo was good and the portion size was also good.
The steak was average. Even though they had all the right spices, their sauce tasted weird. Could be better.

Water- Their water had a weird chlorine taste to it. They did not have bottled water.

Ambiance- Clean nothing special just a normal restaurant.

Worst experience. Maybe it was just one instance.
Very less portion, no taste at all.

This is one of the best multi cuisine restaurants I have ever visited, All the dishes we had were great and surprisingly the rates are reasonable and there was no compromise in taste or the presentation.

A bit costly, Had wheat porotta, Paneer masala and steak. Except steak the food was good. Its off from main road lookout for name board, the road to the restaurant is narrow but different IN and OUT so conjession chances are less

Extremely disappointed. Very bad customer service.tasteless food, expensive. Service was extremely poor and waited more than 1 hour to get our order. I will not recommend. But the ambience is good.

Amazing service, delicious food didn't feel like they using MSG, Ajinomoto or any taste enhancers. Felt like homely and tasty food. Very well behaved serving staffs and price is also very reasonable for buffet.

Visited couple more times, tasty food, tried friedrices, beef steak, chicken steak, oven baked grill chicken, BBQ.
I never missed their Lemon Mint Honey back tea.it's a beautiful one.

I tried this place for the first time and i must say it's a hidden Gem. You may fear for car parking but they have plenty. The food was delicious and the service was top class. We even had the owner come in and ask for feedback and spoke at length about food etc. The menu is really lavish and the place is neat and tidy. Very highly recommend based on the food we had. The rates are reasonable for the quality and ambiance they provide!

I had beef seekh kebab, plain nan. Cheese garlic nan and chicken tikka masala. The food was really tasty and wonderful hospitality by the staff

So, names aren't always perceptive of what one should expect, especially in the case of the restaurant business. I know so from personal experience!

Golden Kitchen, may just be one such underplayed restaurant in the Kakkanad area. Tucked inside a lane, just before one reaches Novotel near Infopark, opposite to the newly opened Dominoes Pizza store, is a Multi cuisine restaurant owned and operated by a young entrepreneur who believes serving good food and honesty in doing so is the only mantra that he believed since his childhood.

Menu is largely continental i.e. Steaks, Pasta, Salads, Sizzlers and a fair choice of the Indo Chinese, North Indian fares, a word of caution is that the Tandoor wasn't functional during the lunch times on both our visits. There is a decent choice for kids, their staples are available too.
NO KERALA FARE FOR NOW is what I was told!

Ambience is the highlight, one would feel (as we surely did!) that you are seated at a Resort's Breakfast Room, lots of greenary, tall leafy trees touching your windows makes the restaurant feel peaceful, the interior is well lit, walls adorn images of plants, fruits and vegetables with their medicinal and nutrient benefits, making it an informative whilst waiting for your food. The highlight again here is the washrooms are clean, well maintained and has enough space for 8 to 10 guests to wash their hands without breathing into one another, huh!

They also have a small banquet area for small functions or parties which make it even better.

Taste & Presentaction again for the dishes we orderd were really good with the flavors and taste to our palates just as it was meant to be. The food is served in white China and the chefs did take effort to ensure we ate with our 'eyes' first before our tongue made the judgment!

Staff were very courteous and friendly, as one would expect.

Something that bewildered us, was that they without having to ask (which has been our perpetual cry!) bring glasses and a jug of 'sassy' water (filtered water with fresh mint & corriander leaves 'n' stems with shaves of cucumber and carrots) which is 'eau de vie' water of life equivalent. It has such a flavorful taste that is cleanses your palate.

Over all, a quite elegant restaurant serving good food with love and purity giving value as well.they are priced fairly for the quality & quantity.

Surely a must visit.

Tried the foods recommended.one word Superb the place enhances with wooden chairs and table with glass openings for greens.lovely service.polite too.nyc area for parking.price is not that much expensive.will definetly visit them again.

After being tired out by pseudo-grub cafés, it was refreshing to be in a well lit, warm family restaurant. The place reminded me of a slightly upscale, familiar Malayali family restaurant.
Clean premises, tidy washrooms and very enthusiastic management.

Coming to food, they’ve a pretty huge menu but we ended up going for a regular North Indian style dinner with your standard rotis, dal tadka and chilli paneer. It’s almost ironic that I feel this is what comfort food has become, even for me - an out and out Malayali. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, probably at par with the only other North Indian food place I like in Edachira/Kakkanad - Urban Paratha.
I’d also recommend trying their signature honey mixed tea. Quite refreshing that was.

I see the irony in this review too - that I’d described the place as a familiar Malayali family restaurant while talking about North Indian dishes. Next time I’m there I’ll definitely try South Indian food as well.

Also, the staff is quite enthusiastic, the chef had come to chat with us and I was curious if they had good aglio-e-olio pasta and surprisingly they did. I find good Italian hard to find in Kochi (especially in Kakkanad). I didn’t try this dish from here tho, but the chef knew what he was talking about and I’m curious to try this next time too.

I feel this review has become a bit too long - but that’s also indicative of how my experience was here. I’d recommend this place if you’re looking for a quite, clean and relaxed dining experience.

Customer service was not so good.
Their biryani tasted very well and they didn't provide raitha and pickle. Also there was a very small piece of chicken for a full biryani.
This is my polite suggestion to include normal piece of chicken in biryani.
Moreover its a bit difficult to find exact location from road.

Every kind of cuisine is delicious. Tried north indian, European and chinese. Very healthy cooking. Slushes are too yummy. Good ambience and cleanliness is to be highlighted specially the wash area n restrooms.

Restaurant offers wide variety of cuisines. I have tried oven roasted chicken which is a continental dish and it tastes awesome. Mojito served here are very refreshing.

Unexpectedly saw this restaurant at kakkanad Infopark road. Went there with no expectations. Ambiance was the one thing attracted to the place. Nice and calm place to spend time with family and enjoy your food. When the food served, the taste was beyond expectations. Excellent service and quality food. The presentation was so good. We have tried their chicken items. Turkish kebab and sizzlers are their must try item. Will visit again soon.

Well, Golden Kitchen is a great place if you looking to spend a quiet and great time. The ambience is amazing. The food is great and the quantity served is sufficient.

The staffs were super supportive and kind to accommodate all our requirements and needs. Customer service at the best! The food was good with a wide variety of options to cater to different needs be it veg, non veg, vegan.they had it all. A special thanks to who supported as through out the time and ensured that we had a good time.

The interiors were the most highlighting part besides the food. It is very exquisite and has a different vibe.
