goSTOPS Kochi

My last minute decision of choosing Gostops was the best part of my journey.
The ambience was quite chill and the staff was really helpfull. They even suggested us some of the best places to visit.
Can't wait to visit it again.
Now Gostops is my permanent staying places.
Couldn't end it without mentioning Nandu and Manoj who helped us feel comfortable and made it a trip worth remembering.

I had a great experience at GoSTOPS. The overall stay was good, and the service provided was excellent. Nandu and Manoj were very attentive and friendly, and made a pleasant atmosphere throughout my stay. I appreciate the positive vibes and would recommend it to others.

Would totally recommend this hostel for anyone on a budget trip.
The rooms have AC and everything was maintained clean to a large extent.
They also assist in hiring vehicles to move around Kochi.
The hosts, Pranav and Nandu were chill and super helpful!

In short such a nice stay, clean rooms bathroom balconies, enjoyed a lot

Not upto the brand standards. Not worth booking and staying at all. A prior Gostops experience at another property may bring you here, only to disappoint. Under staffed, poorly located, very small property, not very well maintained.

Very affordable and value for money Place for stay. Had such a great stay here. The Boat Jetty is also at a walkable distance from where we can take boats to the main city jetties which takes only around 15mins ride. Very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this place for solo and group travellers. Will becoming again every time I come to kochi if ever I need accommodation.

Avoid this hostel. Terrible. Unbelievable amount of black mould throughout the building. The damp smell is awful and you can feel heaviness in the air as soon as you step in. Beds were dirty. Manager was very unhelpful and was laughing at us when we mentioned these issues.

Loved the rooms and ambience.
We were a group of 2 boys and 2 girls (cousins guyz chill).

The rooms were good and comfortable.
Also there are many cafe next to this as it's a prime location.

Rooms are not as shown in the pictures on the website. Booked a twin room but there was no view and it was very very small. The common area is good though!
Dorms are fine but will not recommend booking the rooms here! The food from the cafe is good, they have an in-house cafe. They also provide early check in on the basis of room availability. Good for group and solo travellers not couples.

It's quite small, dirty, and you won't sleep well.

In addition, think that the climate is too hot in here to sleep in a hostel, because people will use they fans, turn the AC on / off, so a mix of too hot, too cold, too noisy.

Manager is friendly and helpful though.

Would recommend paying a tiny bit more to sleep in your own room and have a bathroom that is bigger and cleaner than a toilet.

The Service was exceptional. People especially Sahair and Jinu (Staff) where accommodating and where great in hospitality. The rooms, bed and washroom was clean the best part.

It was an amazing experience with the goStops. Specially the property guy Anand Patil.

I had very worst experience with these people. Two days before the journey they cancelled my buking saying that they dont hv room. If they didnt had room why did they showed availability At this last min where am i supposed to stay?

Good place. Hot water and Ac is well maintained.
Lil mosquito problem.
Rest is good.

The Room, Linen, Bathroom and Common Area were clean. The place was very cool and we felt comfortable around the place from the get go. Mr. Jinu was a Solid Host and made us feel at home. The Crowd here is also superb, would definitely recommend for Solo and Group Travellers

Tried all hostels in Kochi, Gostops is without doubt the best one.well maintained, good staff and great location.

Honestly the best spot to check out most of Fort Kochi.
The location is EXCELLENT.
Everything is within walking distance.
Clean rooms and bathrooms.

GoStops staff was very sweet and helpful during our stay. The room was clean, AC was cold and I really enjoyed the location. We were in a private room, with a separate, private bathroom (but in a common area). The room and bathroom had poor ventilation during the humid season, so it could be a bit stuffy. I felt very safe here and the common areas were super cute. Side note, if you’re a coffee person, I recommend checking out the coffee places to the right of GoStops (away from the center), as they had better coffee and quieter atmospheres during the busy season.

I had a great time staying with goSTOPS Kochi. The dorms are very comfortable and washrooms are clean. Coliving space is beautiful where we all enjoyed watching football games on Sunday night. Great vibe and ambience overall. Host Jinu is very helpful, he suggested amazing places to eat and visit and also helped arranging travel. He showcased professional behaviour and amazing hospitality. Definitely going back for another vacation.

Stayed there for 2 nights and had the best experience of my life.
The living room of theirs is where everyone discusses their ideas and passions and find common ground.
The whole place is clean and the staff is super friendly.

Dormitory are ok but one thing I didn't like is rooms are too small for 6 people its a bit suffocating

The hostel was neat and clean primarily because there was only one other guest staying there. The prices could be reduced. The concierge was polite and helpful, the manager was okayish. The establishment was empty yet they showed online that only one bed is left to rush you. AC is not allowed from 10am to 10pm. They wouldn't reduce the price even with all the beds empty.

We booked for two days and when we reached there they said u can stay one one day! Just a day before we arrived one of the walls of the building collapsed. They have renovated the building well but not considering the security or safety of people who are going to stay there. The building is like a 90 years old nanny dressed as 16 years old teen. Good experience if you are ready to experiment with life

Pungent smell in Rooms.floors were wet not well maintained.but worth the price due to its location and ambiance.bathrooms are also clumsy.

GoSTOPS is located in one of the most premium locality that’s FORT KOCHI. It is approx 200-300 m from the sea. It is located in Portuguese style of building which seems to hundreds of years old. It is well maintained. Try to book from booking.com as u will get some discount. Everything is well planned in the dorm except reading light which might disturb others as it is bulb based light. It is approx 5 min walk from Fort Kochi Ferry boat jetty stand which takes one Kerela bus stand from where u can get local as well state buses. Only one has pay Rs 6 and u will insta story as it passes through beautiful waterways. There is common room in this hostel where u can interact with other mates, play games, guitar and board games. It is fun place to be
But since COVID very few travellers come during weekdays, weekends it is mostly occupied.using WiFi is tricky as they will send u password in message. Check in won’t take much time.
I advice everyone to opt it for day or two then look for alternative in and around as staying in the Fort Kochi is amazing experience. There are lot of home stay or other hostel like Zostel and Xhostel.
Note: Most of the canteens in various hostels are closed and seems like they have no plans to open it again.
Food options are there nearby but for budget travelers there are hardly any cheaper alternatives. Ordering from Zomato and swiggy is not cheap too. There i didn’t find self cooking option. Any questions are welcomed

The ambience here in gostops Kochi is very beautiful, it's walkable distance from boat jetty, and all the places in Kochi, it's very clean, the hostel staff is very polite and kind, I had soo much fun staying at this place, in the website it's mentioned that there is a communal kitchen but I think there is No kitchen in the premises where we can cook and it is also mentioned in the website about free breakfast and I think that is also a wrong information.

Spacious and beautifully maintained co living space. Great vibe and ambience overall. Hosts there: Jorbin, Jinu, Samagra were very helpful and showcased professional behaviour and hospitality. And special mention to Divya tyagi for great fun filled evenings.

GoStops is one of the places where bachelor's or solo trips or group trips can be done with low cost. I liked this places locality & simplicity.

I just wanted a weekend getaway, but ended up stayed here 1 week.

Place is nice, walkable distance to bus stop, ferry, boat and fort cochi center. People (Divya, Samagra, Jorbin and Jinu) are very nice, friendly and helpful in guiding places and transport. Ambience is cool. Overall a great hostel experience.

The locality is not that great, the common room was good, it has a/c, and dorms too. There was continuous power cut and no power backup even for emergency. It's badly planned and managed. The management has to take steps to make it better to work. Lot of power cuts in the place, even at night we had to sit in dark. I'm having a very bad experience staying in GoStops kochi. The rooms are claustrophobic, no windows washrooms very small, there is no ventilation in the hostel. Please make some improvement to your hostels

It's a gas chamber. Clearly avoid! Go for a homestay nearby if tight on budget but totally avoid this one.

Fantastic location, 2 mins walk to the sea. The entire area is like a quaint movie set! Loved the ambience. The property seems to have been renovated from an old bungalow. Interiors and exteriors are unique and beautiful. Staffs are helpful. Facilities are clean. Must stay for the price.

Gostops is always my second home, but this gostops property disappointed me. It's so small barely no space even to walk inside and chill, compared to other gostops properties this is soo bad, and the only Gostops branch which i have seen which had only Maggi and coffe nothing else. No of the items are in stock

Deluxe room waa bit cramped and there is no electricity back up. Service could be better. Parking is also a small issue.

Recently me and my friends had a weekend getaway at Fort Kochi and we have decided goSTOPS Fort Kochi as our place to stay. The location was outstanding, overall Atmosphere was superb. The staffs over there were very helpful. Jinu and Jorbin are very helpful and supportive. Keep up the good vibe guys. Will be visiting soon again.

Recently I decided to go on a weekend getaway to Fort Kochi. I had my stay at Go Stops. It was the most affordable and cleanl hostel I found in that area. The hosts Jinu & Jorbin were very cool and friendly. They never said no to any of our good requirements. They had a good knowledge about the place and helped us plan our sightseeing in the most smart and affordable way. Highly recommended property for backpackers.

I was touring kochi, when I came across a property, gostops I did enquire about the nearby tourist places and attractions, the reception at this property were very friendly and gave an insightful approach on how to discover exquisite local tourist destinations. Their hospitality was extremely satisfying, I would recommend to anyone of you to experience this hospitality while touring in and around kochi.

Best stay with clean bathrooms and perfect location. The lounge is very interesting with fooseball and books to read.

I’m in love with this place. We stayed here for 2 nights and I must say that gostops fort kochi feels like a home.

We booked a deluxe twin bed room through Booking.com. We reached the property by 7pm. The staff were amazing. For our room it was shared bathroom. The room and bathroom was neat and clean.

Our most favourite space is the common room. This has a macrame swing, a small library, table soccer and a lot more. The balcony in the first floor gives you a small view of fort kochi beach.

The property also has a small dining space and many photographic spaces. You won’t feel tired here, because the property is filled with lot of colours. Gives you a positive vibe all the time.

Wish to go back and stay there for few more days.

Clean n well maintained rooms. Budget friendly for solo travelers. About 5min walkable distance from Fort Kochi boat jetty. We were hosted by 2 cool n well mannered staffs Jinu & Jorbin.

Nice place. Renovated dutch house. Budget friendly. Took ac dorm. Rs400/-. Due to pandemic, I was the only occupant in the dorm. No food here but eateries are at walkable distance. Jinu and Jorbin, at the reception were very helpful and friendly.

It's a beautiful property and the manager was really nice. Rates are reasonable and they have a great common area with foosball. I had loads of fun

It was an ok hostel. The service is great but thebeds had a damp smell. The rooms too had that smell. They might need to dry their sheets

I miss it. I stayed here 5 years ago. I guess the name of house has chaged. But the atmosphere would have nothing different.

It's fine for a budget stay. But while booking be careful not to take the 4 bed dorm. Their 4 bed dorm is suicidal as it has no ventilation, has mosquitoes and in the night you'll feel suffocated. Among the 6 bed dorms, cabin 2 is fine, I don't know about the other rooms or dorms. Overall this place is little suffocating. But ok for backpackers.

This hostel crew felt like a family, not necessarily to get a good review (as in many hostel I've been). The whole place is comfortable and very laid back. The owner is a backpacker so it's very easy to get along with him even considering his great big heart. You won't feel pressured to do tours or to book things with them, although if you need advice, a train/bus booking or a simple information they are there, ready to help. Sadly I needed their help with few stuff (including stupid Airtel SIM) and they went all the way to help me solved it.
They are amazing people and nice fellas to hang out with. For sure, a big plus to my experience of Fort Kochi!
Please bear in mind that rooms don't have A/C, although breakfast is great and water is available. If you are looking for a premium hostel maybe you should raise the budget considering the little you are paying here!

Very very hot here. There is no ventilation, and ACs have been removed.otherwise it is a great place to stay, excellent location, walking distance to all the hot spots, and at an excellent price.

I was here the first night! Then I changed the city and before leaving I came back here again! The hostel is very clean! The staff very helpful and kind! I would like it to everyone!

Stay was good. Really affordable clean place with good hostel vibes. Ideal location of the hostel as it's quite centrally located from the tourist places.
