Very bad infrastructure.worst. Casualty is not the level of medical college.wait more than 1 hr for just showing the medical report.

I AM VERY DIS APPOINTMENT: NO MOBILE NETWORK INSIDE HOSPITAL, WHICH SIM NETWORK AVAILABLE THERE?

Good infrastructure but not maintained properly. Doctors are not permanent. Near by hospitals in kollam district not allowing to appoint new doctors permanently. Security guards are very rude with patient. Air condition is not maintained

Best health care facilities are available.good treatment and patient care are provided here.

There should b a better management.cleanliness is ok.when u say bystander is must atleast provide a chair for the bystander.people here are sitting and sleeping and eating and spread the belongings on the floor as there is no facility for the same.that give rise to unhygienic condition.non approachable staffs.doctors and nurses will shout names of the patient from their respective seats and bystander or patient needs to go and get madicine and attend them.even the housekeeping staffs were found shouting at everyone because when they came to sweep people didnt take their belongings from the floor.where they are supposed to keep the things then? One thing for sure patients may come with different disease but will surely go with malaria.it's a good premise.with better management things can be made better.

Excellent Institute for medical education. The treatment facilities are also good. Has got centralized air conditioned digital classrooms. The labs are also air conditioned.

പത്ത് പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിന് ആളുകൾ ദിനവും വന്ന് പോകുന്ന സ്ഥലം. വൃത്തി ഒട്ടുമില്ല. നല്ലൊരു മാനേജ്മെന്റ് വേണം. എടുത്ത് പറയേണ്ടത് ഇവിടുത്തെ ക്യാൻറ്റീൻ (കക്കൂസ് പിന്നേം കൊള്ളാം) ആകെ കുറച്ച് നല്ല ഡോക്ടർമാരുണ്ട് നല്ല കുറച്ച് ജീവനക്കാരും.

OVER ALL BETTER. ONLY ONE REASON MEDICINE WERE VERY SHORT. IT'S A DIFFICULT MATTER. SOMANY POOR PEOPLES WERE COMING IN THIS HOSPITAL. THEY HAVE NO MONEY TO BUT THIS COSTLY MEDICINES. SO PLEAS TRY TO UNDETSTAND THIS PROBLEM AND KINDLY SOLVE THIS ONE.

Not enough doctors in medicine OP, Not enough staffs in pharmacy (both resulting a long que), Came to dress a simple wound: after 4hrs still haven't got the medicine.

Casualty is disastrous, road accidents, cardiac arrest patients should skip kollam medical College if u need ur life, I m not blaming the staff, the problem is lack of sufficient number of staffs. Atleast in the casualty authories should fill more number of staffs. In the OP section u can see 10 to 15 AC s are fitted there each having a min spec of 2 ton that too recently bought i think, but none is working (not even connected to power). Under current climatic condition of increasing temperature it's even more disastrous to the public

എല്ലാം ഉണ്ട് എങ്കിലും ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയാണ് ഈ ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിനു ഉള്ളത്. കാർഡിയോളജി doctor ചൊവ്വ ദിവസം 100 പേർക്ക് മാത്രമേ കാണാൻ കഴിയു. ന്യൂറോളജി ഡോക്ടറെ 50 പേർക്കേ കാണാൻ കഴിയു. ടോക്കൺ കിട്ടാൻ petience തലേ ദിവസം മഞ്ഞത്തു വന്നു കിടക്കേണ്ട അവസ്ഥ. ഡോക്ടർ മാരുടെ എണ്ണം കൂട്ടി ഇത് പരിഹരിക്കുക. Gynacology ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റ് പൂർണമായും സങ്കടകരമാണ്. ഗർഭിണികൾക് കൃത്യമായ പരിചരണം ലഭിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഇവിടെ ഡോക്ടറെ കാണുന്നവർ മറ്റു ഹോസ്പിറ്റലുകളിലേക്ക് പോകേണ്ട അവസ്ഥ ഇവിടുള്ളത്. Casuality കുറച്ചു കൂടി കാര്യക്ഷമമാകണം. സർക്കാർ കൃത്യമായ ഇടപെടലുകൾ നടത്തുക

It was the second medical college project from ESI Corporation of India in the country and the first of its kind in Kerala state. Rs. 480 crores worth ESIC Medical College was inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in Parippally on 21 December 2013, and was the largest Medical College in Kerala the terms of buildings (33 blocks). With the inauguration of the ESI Medical College in Parippally, the demand of the people of Kollam district to have a medical college of their own in the government sector has been fulfilled. Parippally ESIC Medical College is a 500 bedded medical college with a total built-up area of 12,029 sqmtr.
The medical college was initially a project of ESI Corporation.  Kodikunnil Suresh, the then Central Deputy Minister of Labour and Employment, announced the ESIC medical college project at Parippally in Kollam during 2012–2013. The works for hospital has been completed and commissioned in December 2013. But in 2014, the NDA lead central ministry decided not to go ahead with ESIC Medical college projects based on a report of the sub-committee that, the projects would probably exhaust the ESI corporation fund. Later in 2016, the UDF lead Kerala Government had decided to take over the institution. But the government failed to appoint needed faculties and other employees for the institution.
Later, in the months of July–August, the LDF lead new government in Kerala had taken the necessary actions for staff appointments to get the first batch of MBBS at ESIC Medical College in 2016-17-year itself. They have created 108 additional posts at the medical college.
On 14 August 2016,  Chief Minister of Kerala,  Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated Kollam Government Medical College. A modern mortuary complex, capable to conduct two autopsies at a time, would start functioning in the medical college from 1 August 2019. A forensic medicine department led by a team including a police surgeon, a deputy police surgeon and two assistant police surgeons will also start functioning in the medical college hospital.

Big hospital with almost all the speciality divisions, currently, one block is reserved for corona isolation.

It's a good government medical college.
Infrastructure is good. Got vaccinated from here.
Parking space is huge.
It can get crowded at times.

The doctors are superb and the service is also excellent but one negative side is that they don't have all the facilities which a medical College hospital should have. For example, with regards to the dental care, they don't have tooth removal facilities, for that they will refer the patient to Trivandrum medical College.

Worst experience from a hospital.i am not mentioning everyone in the hospital.the staff especially in the icu is behaving t patients and bystanders as if they are not human.even to the bystanders.even the nurses and the icu attendants and even the sweeping cleaning staff are the worst i ve experienced ever form a govt hospital. They are shouting at the bystanders and literally harassing the patients. (even if no one is interrupting their duty by entering inside). Pathetic.really.these people must understand a govt hospital is not their ancestral property and the patients and bystanders are not their dogs. As they are taking our tax money as salary they are literally bound t help us wd dignity (so called angels on the earth) (ps: this doesn't include all the staff.i mean the unworthy elements who doesnt deserve t be in this job.better learn some manners before starting working.or show this behaviour at own home)

I had a worst experience from the security lady in the block of blood test. Since i was coming for the first time i got inside the lab for enquiry. Her behavior was so rude. No Empathy for patients. Other facilities are good and good Doctors too. Physiotherapy department is also better.

This medical College hospital is a gift to the kollam district and the trauma centre will help to reduce the busy of Trivandrum medical College hospital

Best OP department near by. AC building. Excellent doctors are in all departments. Skin and Pedeatrics offered good treatment during visits. Despite huge infrastructure investment a long way to go in Casually and Diagnostic departments and Pharmacy. New machines and facilitate required to keep up with Medical college hospital status. Some issues regarding admission persisted. Seeing the future it may develop into a fabulous learning institute. As a hospital best medical OP advise is available which is a great boon to people near by like me.

Pros:
* Clean compared to most hospitals both private and public
* Not very crowded in-patient dept due to strict entry restrictions. Only 4 visitors allowed per day between 4-6 pm

Cons:
* Infrastructure is already breaking down though not very old
* Staff shortage
* Doc and nurses will sit in their places and shout out patient's name. By sanders are supposed to run to them for instructions
* No staff to move patients either via wheelchair or stretcher. By stander has to find the equipment and people to move patients

Since the services are free and docs good, there is a huge influx of people. The staff can only do so much. The administration and government has to support them with requires oversight and resources.

Worst security staffs allotted in inpatient deapartment block 3, rude behaviour to patient's relatives.other medical and paramedical staffs are very cooperative and soft in nature

Youngest government medical college situated at Paripally which is situated between Kollam city and Thiruvanandapuram city. Initially started as an ESI medical college. Now taken over by state goverment. This medical college is catering the patients from Paravoor town, chathannoor, kalluvathukkal, varkala, pooyapally, bhoothakulam and adichanalloor pachayaths. Havinh specialist doctors in almost all categories.

It all the modern facilities of a medical college. And maintained very clean, also the primary things bed, toilet, bathroom, emergency ward, isolation ward are also included.
