A calm place, if you are looking for peace, then gramam is it. I have never felt bad leaving a place but leaving gramam felt like leaving home behind

If you want to really unwind, connect with yourself and nature, then Gramam is the place for you. The accommodation is perfect, self sufficient and very luxurious in heritage style. The villa has a private opening to the serene backwaters. If you’re looking for adventure activities and loud gatherings, this isn’t the place for you. A boat ride and visit to a nearby prawn farm is the most that can be done in true village style. Mr Jos is the kindest person, very uninterfearing yet always there to support. Mrs Jos food is delicious with an authentic exposure to Kerala cuisine. We over ate for sure.:) Best place for a weekend getaway from Bangalore

Very peaceful place with back-water in the front. The cottage is in a scenic place. It still near to the main road.
Great authentic kerala food. Jose is also a good host.

We stayed there one night.have a nice waterfront.host responses were not so pleasent, was not at all caring.didnt even inform or switched on the lights in the courtyard (with full of long grass). A lot of mosquitos but host didnt even mention about this or gave repellants.it was like stay with whatever you get.and get out.expectations were high looking at reviews.but not sure why we felt so unwelcomed there.had been to many homestays before and more than anything we look for good hosts and making guests comfortable throughout the stay. Frankly speaking i didnt even see the host even 1 time during our stay.

Quiet and beautiful place, Nice view of sunset. Only one room non ac. Though it charges for 6 people, proper bed was available only for 4. Option to have indoor games like carrom or chess.

I had the most delightful experience at Homestay. From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed by the friendly hosts who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. We had a lovely time in Gramam Homestay. The location is beautiful, set on the backwater, where you can watch the sun set while the local temples sing their evening chants. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the food provided was delicious and authentic. The village where the homestay is, is full of friendly locals and it is a nice change from the busy tourism of Fort Cochin.

Had a wonderful two nights in Jos’ guest cottage. We ate breakfast and dinner both days and it was some of the most delicious and authentic food we had on our 2 week trip. Jos was very friendly and sent us on with a huge bunch of homegrown curry leaves!

For anyone booking via iEscape - bare in mind, this is a Homestay (albeit a very nice one!) - so although well furnished and incredibly spacious the facilities are fairly basic, a little tired and no frills. The outdoor bathroom is lovely though a hotspot for red ants and mosquitos!

We spent most of our time enjoying the huge private garden, two hammocks and views over the water. Worth staying out to catch the amazing sunset!

We had a wonderful stay at Gramam Homestay. The house was in a quiet and green area outside the center of Kochi. We felt very safe and welcome, especially enjoyed the homemade breakfast. We would have loved to stay longer!

It was a family trip aimed at relaxation. Very neatly maintained property. The property is facing the lake with beautiful sunset. Best place for family gathering. You have full privacy.

My partner and I spent five blissful nights at Gramam Homestay. The guesthouse is situated near the water and is secluded and peaceful. Mr. Jos, the host, and his wife, are very hospitable and responded to our requests in a kind manner. We ate a delicious breakfast meal every morning and had privacy during our stay. The guest house is beautifully designed and very well-furnished. There is a gorgeous open-air shower. The location is perfect, only a short auto-ride from the city centre. We were so happy at Gramam Homestay and hope to return in the future.

Thank you for the most attentive hospitality! We felt taken care of and spoiled during out stay, and Jos even helped us to organize transportation for our next destination. We stayed in the cottage, which is charming and located just next to the water, with an incredible view. Special mention to the food; breakfast and dinner were very tasty!

One of the most beautiful homestay. I had an amazing experience in the homes stay surrounded by backwater. The gist and family very extremely good and caring. If you’re like like to go out with your family for a wonderful experience then you should definitely try this place. BTW the food they provided was lip smacking.

Jos and his family played the perfect host and cooked amazing food, i would recommend to eat their home cooked food rather than order from outside.

What a beautiful propery Gramam is. Facing the kumbalangi backwaters this picturesque location immediately grabbed all our hearts. Its an amazing hidden gem in the midst of Cochin for a quick relaxing getaway. The room/hall was huge with enough space and beds to hold all 4 of us. Food is not an issue as you have the host serving us delicious dinner and breakfast. For lunch we ordered from Zomato. You also have a kitchen if you prefer to make hot beverages/food. I would definitely recommend it to any one who wants an unwinding weekend getaway with family. Thank you Mr. Jos and Mrs. Lyma for your generous hospitality.

My sister's Engagement was hosted in Gramam homestay, Kochi and this place is really amazing. They have a very good space with ample parking facility and it is neatly maintained. Spacious lawn near by the water frontage where you can arrange the stage for your special day makes this place a bliss. They opened the homestay for us for the function which have the rest room facilities. Baiju from Gramam homestay was really supportive and was listening to all our suggestions. We were really impressed with this place and highly recommend Gramam homestay for hosting your special days.
