Really bad experience from Grand Chef. The food was fine. Ordered a simple chicken and beef biriyani. Took half an hour to serve. Good service is also necessary for a successful restaurant. Giving 3.5 stars for the biriyani.even though it was served cold. The restaurant should focus on their service too.
We ordered Combo for 2 in which Veg pulao, 2 Parathas, half BBQ and two lime was included for 422 but instead of Parathas they gave two Parottas which we ignored but we saw the staffs cooking with gloves. Also we requested for hot tea instead of lime juice as it was raining. Very disappointed with the services.
Family friendly, combo offers for more people dine in, one of the biggest parking space around the town, quality food. Arabian dishes will be over by night, late night options are low. Huge affordable rate of desserts
This is the first time I entered the hotel and the atmos is good, neat and clean. Unfortunately I ordered broasted chicken and from the next day started diarrhea. I am still under treatment.
Pathetic service. Went in for dinner, only to find a single worker to handout menu and deliver to all the tables. (Another one to clear tables and another to take orders I believe). It was rush hour and food was piling up at the distribution counter with no one to collect and serve them on time.
After waiting for around 30min a staff came to take my order only to excuse for a ‘minute’ as he went elsewhere never to be seen again. After understanding that the situation in the tables around me was similar I decided to walk away.
Long story short, lack of staff - may be it was just for today!? , The guest workers seem to have been given zero training as they lack the basic communication skills. They try their best to avoid eye contact to make sure they are not called for service.
The restaurant is perfect for family as I went with my family. The food was so delicious and staff was very energetic and helpful bringing orders there are wide variety of food items and I can prefer this hotel is best near to killipalam and karamana. Do check it out
Restaurant with a big dining area. Ordered 2 Rumali shawarma roll. The price as per the menu was 99 Rs. However, when I got the bill, i was surprised. They charged 140 for roll shawarma. When I enquired about this, the staff told that the price in the menu was masked. When I checked again, i found it was masked, but we can easily see through it. The food was just ok. Overall not recommended
Order lemon qnd peper alfaham quantity and taste was too low and rates where on the higher side not worth. Had been a continuous customer of alzaidee but now it's grand chef pls dont go
As I had seen the MRA tag I immediately wanted to go there.but I went there and food was just OK not something u schould expect a lot.ambiance its just normal not that of a great deal.parking was reasonable. The oders were given fast and delivered soon enough.but have to say waiters were not that of great deal ots not that they are rash or something it's just that they are bit lazy.overall not expected this from MRA. I think MRA just have some share only.
Overall good and experience was good. The air conditioning was off, do that was a bummer.may be due to covid. We tried veg kadai, beef perattu. Loved both the items. The beef was super soft and properly cooked. Good parking space as well.
Worst experience! I was a kind of regular customer before the Covid-19 lockdown. That time I enjoyed having food from here, food was superb. But that completely changed now. Might as to cop up with the current crisis, the staffs are changed and as with the food quality. Very pathetic. I ordered Squid masala along with meals. The squid masala which was charged at 200 or 220 only had 5-6 small cut pieces of squid. Really disappointing. I will never ever come here.
To the management: Please do the necessary so that a customer should feel that he gets that much quality worth for the money he is paying for, else you will not survive.
Below average food.no taste at all.and below average ambience. AC is not working and no fan is right under the table.porotta seems like stale porotta.never gonna visit again.won't recommend to anyone
I booked the party hall and ac was not working due to some power circuit.they could have done something to compensate that.and the manager didn't done anything properly.
The place is good for most variety of dishes. Yet rated it 4 star as the rate is high compared to other restaurants. The parcel service takes too long to get the food. Good place to enjoy with family and friends.
If food is the prime thing other than look and feel of the restaurant, please don't go there. Below average quality food at higher price. Trivandrum is flooded with good restaurants and good food and there comes this restaurant just like an odd man out. Online orders are also bad as they just give you a tiny pack of food at higher rate. NOT RECOMMENDED
Disappointed. The shawarma had raw pieces in it, and also bone. I can't even think about Shawarma now. Also the Oreo shake was bitter due to too much chocolate powder and no sign of Oreo biscuits.
Pros: spacious restaurant Cons: careless attitude towards food quality
Dear HR Manager, I have gone through a bad experience today noon with your parcel counter. I purchased 'Varutharacha Chicken Curry' costs Rs. 190/- but found four pieces of chest nothing to eat with (only skeleton!). Please do the needful to end this practice. Otherwise it will badly affect the pride of the establishment. Thank you. Nizam
Went with zero expectations but this restaurant blown away my mind with its superior quality food and service. Whatever I ordered was super delicious- Chicken alfahm was awesome, chicken tikka, porotta, cheese naan, chicken chettinad curry, falooda, neymeen pollichath every dish was super delicious and warm service
Great for family, descent chiar capacity, and can facilitate small occasions and party like birthday, family get together, located in prime area, easy access, good parking for two nd four wheels
A new restaurant in Killippalam. Ambience is good. Comfortable. Price range is average. A foul smell outside the building may be due to the drainage passing nearby. Anyway food is good and tasty.
Nice place.with not a lot of people wandering around much. Lot of parking lot.looks good with fine lightings the arrangements. Coming to the Menu it looks different.if, you look upon the photos you can see the difference like they've typed nice funny writings on the menu notes and it feels great. And about the food it's good. Like I ordered bbq pepper nd it felt nice chewing the first bit. So I would say it was nice.
NOT RECOMMEND.
Grand Chef Restaurant is a nice place with modern facilities. The food quality and the ambience is very nice. The staffs are exceptional in behavior. The restaurant is neat and clean. They have a wide variety of food items. Don't compare the price with other restaurant, since in here it is little bit expensive.
Very neat, spacious and easily accessible restaurant. The staff too are okay. However I've ordered egg biriyani and chicken fried rice. Both the items were below par, salty and overly oily.
Very bad experience. I had ordered a full mushroom manchurian from this restaurant. The portion size was so less. It will hardly be two or three spoons. And the dish looked so unappetizing. Winter recommend this restaurant.
I have a small bad experience to share. Today (13-08-2019) i bought a parcel of quarter shawai chicken and two kubboos, but after reaching my home, found that there was no mayonaise and salad. Then called in their number and complained, but no further response was there from Restaurent side.
Disappointing place. Ordered Shawai chicken. Pathetic, chicken size is so so small (pls see photo). The leg peice looked as of a polio chicken. When we asked about the same the staff was too much defensive and said shawai means this and please eat if you want. We have been eating from so many restaurants and they were dumb enough to say us that Shawai is this size everywhere.losersss.
Went to Grand chef this evening with my family seeing all positive review. I can't say food is overpriced. Bt I may say dey shud keep the quality.n I donno y dey are demanding this cost.zero ambience congested n I can't say my xpereince into words.v were literally sweating like pigs inside d restaurant. (ac wasn't working)
Very very bad guys trust me m a big foodieee. Ok n dis hotel is just no words toooo expensive. With no food taste. N today I order combo of mutton and aalam through swiggy. They just gave me 1 tsp mutton. I was highly disappointed. Called up the restaurant, the behavior was so bad. Guys pls dnt waste ur money gng in the hotel with just looks good. Within 100 or 200 mtr of grandchef there is annapoorna. Not to classy hotel but the taste is die for. Tooo long review
One of the most customer satisfying restaurants you find in Trivandrum. The ambience it possess makes you to fall in love with it and makes you feel come back again. Food is of nice quality both veg and non veg. A budget restaurant with good customer service.
Really good food. I had been there 5 times. Even today I went with my friend. The quality of food was excellent. The only restaurant in the city which can boast of inviting customers into their kitchen. Kudos to the entire team behind the venture.
Im an regular customer of grandchef and i liked all the dishes we have tried till now namely alfham, biriyani, beef chutty curry, chicken fry, chicken tikka, shavarma roll and all. But today I had a very bad experience when I ordered chicken stew. It taste like thenga curry with chicken pieces. Usually chicken stew will be in white color with a taste of green chilly and pepper. This is the worst curry I have ever eaten in my lifetime. Please tell you chef to change the reciepe of stew.
Good ambience, but poor maintenance. Salad served was not fresh, and had been chopped a long time back. Had found insects (commonly come up during sudden rains) in my plate shawarma, which l had complained and they got it replaced immediately. Good response to customer grievance. Food is slightly overpriced.
One of the best restaurant in Trivandrum. The restaurant provide north Indian and south Indian dishes along with traditional kerala deligacies. The restaurant is very clean and have a nice wash area. The restaurant is child freindly and provide child seat. The food is very tasty has a juice and ice-cream corner also. The staffs are very humble and friendly and you can feel the difference from other restaurant. There is parking available and a take away counter is open. The ambiant is cossy and modern. An upper party area is also available for various functions
Ambience is fine, customer service is fine except for few table managers. Food is pathetic.except for their regular biryani items. We got near to stale food. Recommended to eat what they offer at your time of visit as that might be fresh.
Good ambience.clean ambience.wash area need more hygienic care.food is average. Not so bad and not so yummy. An average level of food. We had the traditional kerala meals with fish fry.
Good location. Easy accessable. Small parking area. Staffs service are good. Very attentive.
Worst food and very expensive too. I bought 15 kerala porotta and 2 chilly chicken cost me 180 + 480 + Packing charges. Porotta taste like stale food also quantity for chilly chicken less
I had ordered parcel from here. The packing was neat but the food did not taste nice. The chilli chicken was very garlicky and the chicken unevenly cooked. Parotta was not great either. Price was a little high for the not so great food.
