The food is really really amazing here. It is a small hotel in a small building in the middle of the market but serves very tasty food. We had chicken biriyani with chicken 65. Both were really nice. We were a little late from the normal lunchtime, so we didn't get kallummakkaya biriyani.

Delicious mutton biryani. The beef is a must have. We also had the mussel which was very good. Perfect meal to take away and enjoy!

The kallumakayi biriyani was nice but chicken biriyani is average. Both have the same rice with different masala.
Great quantity of kallumakayi in there.
Chammandhi served with biriyani is yummy.

Delicious food, Must try items are Kallummakkaya fry and Kallummakkaya Biriyani, price is little more.

A rooted kerala cuisine restaurant located in the interior town area of Kannur town.

Tried the kerala's very own favourite combo of parotta and beef chilli here.

The beef side dish was scintillating and the parotta was soft as a leather sheet in a edible version. Kindly ignore the weirdly comparison of mine.

The hotel seating area but had two floors which can roughly accomodate upto 40 to 50 people at a time.

Parking facility is just road side area and car parking can be quite challenging here.in those Cases, parcel take out can be opted.

One sad thing is that I couldn't try out their kalumaka fry dish as it got over at that time.

To sum up, a local restaurant with a good reputation for it's taste.

They serve amazing beef & kallumakay dishes.

The Kallumaka Biriyani (300Rs.) was good with around 10pieces. Kallumaka fry (220Rs.) and Beef fry (90Rs.) were also very good. Beef was very soft, like the ones we get in Wayanad.

Biriyani quantity is perfect for one person, but felt the quantity of beef and Kallumaka fry could be improved.

The restaurant is inside the market (gmaps is spot on). Overall ambience is good for a bachelor or friends' visit. Not really recommended for Family. The owner and servers are very humble and go all the way to keep you happy.

Having food inside the hotel on a hot afternoon doesn't really give you that relaxed enjoyable meal feeling and I would suggest to better get a takeaway if possible. There is also upstairs seating here.

One of the hidden nice restaurants inside Kannur main market where you can rely anytime for any type of Non Veg Meal. And they are open till 11pm.

Liked the food. But i think its overpriced.if u haven't tasted കല്ലുമക്കായ before dont buy its biriyani. Instead buy chicken or beef biriyani and buy a plate of കല്ലുമക്കായ. ചിലപ്പോ taste പിടിക്കില്ല.

Awsome biryani. I couldn't try their favorite kalummakaya biryani. But I tried beef and prawns biryani.sooper anu.onnum parayanilla.

The beef fry with porotta here is a pretty good combo. And the only few places in kannur where you get kallumakaya (mussels) biriyani. The ambience is pretty dull. Would not recommend for family, but they have a fast parcel service for the outbound customers.

Not suitable for dine in. Biriyani was average compared to other hotels in kannur. Beef biriyani was not available so I ordered chicken biryani and beef roast.it was below average.

Beef fry is a must try.and beef biryani was also very good and rich in flavour. It's small restaurant and don't expect a great ambience etc. Good for take away.

Kallummakaya (mussel) roast and kalkumakaya biriyani is the best, simply wow, other biriyanis porrota and excellent beef fry. Great food experience. Ambience seating comfort are all avg, typical local kerala restaurant, but the food just compensates for everything else.

Arafa restaurant is a small restaurant situated in the busy Kannur Market. This place is always crowded as it's very popular among foodlovers in and around Kannur.

We had tried their Kallummakkaya Biriyani and Chemmeen Biriyani. Kallummakkaya Biriyani was one of the best Kallummakkaya Biriyanis I have ever had in my life. The masala, the right amount of Kallummakkaya and everything about it was good.

And about Prawns Biriyani, it was also good but nothing special about it compared to many other places that serve Prawns Biriyani.

The Beef fry we tried was also very good.

I went to this hostel multiple times and these hotel was recommend by a social media influencer and my cousins. They experience was good. But for me when ever I went they treated in a disappointing manner. And the food was not good as the hype and the quantity was less. But still many of them are very happy with them. According to me. They are at the center of market. Best spot. If they improve a bit here and there. The business will get more wealthier. Still go and try it.

Had porotta, chicken fry. I will admit one of the best meals I've ever had. Porotta was very soft, and chicken was tender. Will visit again the next time I'm in Kannur

Chicken biriyani was not up to the mark. Beef in beef roast wasn’t good enough. Kallumakkaya biriyani was abosolutely wonderful.

Kalumakayi biryani is their speciality. It was good but I think kalumakayi as biryani is not that great option. Kalumkayi fry standalone eould be better

Had porotta, beef masala, beef fry, biriyani, kallumakkaya fry from here. Beef masala and kallumakkaya fry was at best in town. Ambience wise it's just an average hotel, but you can go for both that cuisines

ഞാൻ എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളുമായി അറഫ റസ്റ്റോറന്റിൽ ഇന്ന് പോയി (26/11/2019) ചെറിയ ഒരു ഹോട്ടൽ ആണ്. പക്ഷെ ഹോട്ടലിന്റെ വലുപ്പത്തിലല്ല രുചിയിൽ ആണു കാര്യം എന്ന് കഴിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോ മനസിലായി. ഞാനും സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും കല്ലുമ്മക്കായ ബിരിയാണിയും കാട ഫ്രയും ആണ് കഴിച്ചത്. സൂപ്പർ ടേസ്റ്റ് ആണ്. ഒരു രക്ഷയുംഇല്ല. അത്രയും രുചികരമായ ഭക്ഷണം. ഹോട്ടൽ നല്ല വൃത്തിയുണ്ട്. പ്ലേറ്റും പത്രങ്ങളും ചുറ്റുപാടും ഒക്കെ നല്ല വൃത്തിയുണ്ട്. അവിടെ ഉള്ള ആൾക്കാരും നല്ല സ്നേഹമുള്ള സ്വഭാവം ആണ്. നമ്മുടെ വയറും മനസും നിറയും. ഈ ഹോട്ടലിൽ എത്തിപ്പെടാൻ വൈകിപ്പോയി എന്ന വിഷമം മാത്രേ ഉള്ളു. ഇനി ഒരു സ്ഥിരം കസ്റ്റമർ ആയിരിക്കും.

All the dishes here are good. Especially beef biriyani with lime tea. Snacks are available with teaa. Every dish here taste good. You can alsoo have chineese dishes too. Excellent service by the workers. Arafa hotel is situated at kannur market.

The best BEEF in Kannur. Putta and beef fry or kallummakai fry is recommended. It is yummy. Kada fry, neychor and beef is also worth.
Do try biriyani in your second visit.

For porotta lovers this is the place. You can have the best porotta from here.you must try porotta n beef the must try combinations in arafa and also ghee rice and chicken curry. Those who love porotta will definitly love the place. Arafa is situated in inner sides of market.you cannot find out from roadside but if you ask anyone in the market they'll show you.
