Hotel lucky Star

The hotel is at centre of fort Kochi, a small hotel but that doesn't define the taste, it's real good with variety of menu options, best place to have Kerala breakfast.

Ordered parota pothu roast (gravy)
It was well done however a tad too spicy for my liking
We did find some vegetarian gravy options for our friends with the said parota

We had fried fish and rice with masala. The food was fresh, fish was done in 5 minutes, masalas were tasty and the service was good. Place is not spotless but the food is good for the money.we payed about 150 ru per person.

Ripe off place. Tourist trap. They write only the final amount in the bill and inflate prices of every item + add extra money in the bill. Added 250 to our bill for no reason.
Food is bland/tasteless. Skip the place.

One of the affordable and good place to eat. The items served was fresh and tasty.
The price in comparison to the quality it offers is appreciable.
Visit numerous time due to its quality. The dishes offed are typically kerala style, some north indian curry dishes, and shawarma.
The manager and the guys working are friendly and helpful.

Had a Kerala Beef which while good was not fabulous. Ordinary place, so dont expect a fancy ambience. Its a local food place. Worth 1 meal. Tea was great

A classic Indian hotel-restaurant, with a lot options and one of the best paneer butter masala I've tried

Not sure why its rated so low.seems super tasty for the price you pay. Very cheap price.
We came before 12 - so it was still breakfast.but breakfast options were cheap quick and tasty.
Option to wash your hands in the back too of course.
Sanitary - maybe not so much, but when in rome.

Amazing place! I stayed in Kochi for ten days and in the hostel where I was staying the first suggestion for the first indian meal in the first time in India is always this place.
Is not even easy to find in Europe a service like theirs, always smiling and above all, doesn’t matter if you are in two or in six, they’ll run all your food in once. Nobody needs to wait longer, nobody will eat first and then wait.
Everyone that I took there was so satisfied and happy. Lots of veg, fish, meat option

Main local eatery.if you are travelling around fortkochi and looking for a safer restaurant, this is good.mostly local people eats here.dont expect high level service.but good and safer food at a cheap price is guaranteed

Kappa taste good with traditional kerala varavu.didn't go for any non veg. Hotel had many Kerala breads like iddiyapam, appam, chappathi, porota.ok

Not so great experience having food here. You'll have to order twice or more time to get the food. It takes a long time to get your food after the order. The attitude of waiter was not appealing, we had to wait for the waiter to come to our table for 10 minutes. We ordered SHAWARMA PLATE which was priced at ₹140, which is a bit overpriced. Value for money is not applicable in this restaurant. The food was just average.

Probably one of the cheapest places to get food from. You could really give it a try if you're on low budget and you will find South Indian food here. But I found the Kerala Parotta rather way too bland, and the beef curry was just okay. If you're one for cleanliness, you should probably give this a skip.

Nice food. I had egg biriyani, app and and egg curry. It tastes nice and I recommend this restaurant to all. This restaurant open from morning to late night with hot and tasty delicious food. Thank you lucky star

Super quality Food. I like the lime pickle when they serve meals. It's so tasty than other food iteams. All the staffs are good. In short Quality food in Quantity with fair price.

Really good food, local style, hand eating, cheap and also quite fast. Good luck finding out what you want to eat, no English spoken, even though, we went back, it is worth it:)

Good tasty food for cheap rate. Got wide varieties of dishes, starting with small kochi special snaks. I recommend to try beef biriyani from here. Their service is fast and good less waiting, can boldly fulfill the needs of hungry stomach

This one is a very normal and small hotel. The food is fine, but not too many options. The place is usually crowded bt was not a good choice for us. The place was not maintained and clean. It jus holds a name. This place cant a food option for travellers. There can b sm efforts to maintain the place.

Good and cheap food in Fort Kochi. They have a large selection of tasty dishes. The quality was great for the price.
Minus point because the place looked dirty (I didn't get sick so I guess it's fine)

I'm not really sure why this place has the a decent rating and some good reviews. I'm guessing (or rather hoping) that it's because at one time this used to be a good restaurant. It certainly wasn't when we went there. We were suggested this place by an auto driver since we wanted to eat Kerala meals and seafood. The meals were below average, the sambhar was more like a dal, and the fish fry was clearly old fish fry refried and served. The fish meat was hard and rubbery, and whatever spices were used, the taste was long gone due to the multiple rounds of frying. The hygiene standards weren't great either. And the whole meal wasn't worth the money they charged.

Wonderful food, friendly service. Ate an amazing variety of authentic food from Kerala; great chai - highly recommend. Safe to eat and hygienic.from the UK and never once had a tummy upset. Not always a lot of women eating there however the men are very respectful and never once did i feel uncomfortable.
