Hotel Railview

Very very bad experience in my life. All staff are very bad response including manager. (Cleaning and service) They don't think they are good customers. Those who pay full money and leave suddenly. What is the matter in mind for those who read this. Ac will not work and there is no hot water for bathing. Lift will not work. Totally stuck. Do not say that a good customer will take a room and not take a room for the procedure

Had an amazing experience.
Pros - just 2800for an AC suite room. 2 Air conditioners, 2 Tv s, Bathtub, a living space and King size bed.
Directly opposite to Railway Station.
Neat rooms, nice staff.
2 star hotel with Bar and Restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
It's very next to railway station with its entry just next to platform no. 1.

Hotel railview is located near kollam jn railway station. You can see it from the entrance of railway station.
I booked through goibibo and room cost around 2100 Rs. Rooms have ac a small tv and are quite big.that's all the pros. There were more cons than pros. For 2100rs the room looked cheap, every time i flushed the toilet it leaked, wash basin / sink also had a leak.
The front desk was empty at times but the staff were quite helpful and polite when you could find them. I had to wake up early in the morning coffee shops wouldn't open at that time so they arranged for a kettle coffee mug and sugar. That was quite a nice gesture.

NB: If hotel railview management is reading this, guys please maintain the rooms and bathroom properly.

Great place to stay for a day visit if travelling on train. We got good room and didn’t require room service.

Excellent stay and service. The rooms are very neat and clean and very spacious also. Staffs are friendly. And food also very tasty. The main point is these are available with affordable price.

It is very close to railway station. Room was good - clean and tidy. Side dish ordered for room was tasty. But we had to wait too long to see some one at reception.

Anytime I board my train from kollam I do make a short visit to the a/c bar. The food and service was excellent but of late they have squared up their menu to just chicken and beef. Senior citizens travelling would prefer to opt for lighter plates in the form off egg, peanut, gobi tc.

It is a decent stay option right opposite the train station. The rooms were near and had all basic amenities.

Very poor services.they are not providing the hot water and kettles.they are not giving the drinking water also.i have very bad experience from this hotel.

ഇതൊക്കെ കേട്ടിട്ടും ഇനിയും അവിടെ റൂം എടുക്കുന്നവരെ സമ്മതിക്കണം

It is just opposite to railway station. Rates are high but rooms/bathrooms are dirty and not up to the expectation.

I did not stay here and use the rooms. So the 5 star for that is only from the pictures posted online. I would personally review it some other time. I would like to review the hotel for its food for now. We ordered only a single chicken biryani. The biryani cost us ₹189 and was not at all worth it. There was only 2 pieces of uncooked chicken as my pictures suggest. The raita was of local quality. The papad and pickle was good. The service was quick. Quantity was just optimal. Please do not order the birayni here. Maybe next time I will try the meals.

I visited a restaurant and bar that was average not so good and not too bad. Food is limited at the bar not so many options also. There is not even a menu card that's also not good. I ate porotta and beef fry, porrota is average beef fry was good. Overall just ok experience hope they will improve food and all.

Best hotel in Kollam it's just opposite to railway station and surrounding with many more restaurants and even staff also very helpful and friendly, budget friendly hotel with clean and neat a rooms see you again.

I went to the executive bar of Railview hotel with my friends to enjoy a few beers on a hot summer day. Nice ambience and decent cleanliness, but the toilets have the typical urinal smell of any public restroom.
We ordered Heineken and kingfisher blue along with beef fry and salad. Service was fine and pleasant. The beef fry was delicious and not dry.
Never got the green salad ordered and never noticed as we indulged in chatting and drinking.

If you want to stay near opposite to kollam railway station just go for it.hotel is located opposite to kollam railway station.staff's behaviour and services are good.i stayed on ac dulex room.room is okay and bathroom was not hygenic.
