Positive: Delicious Nadan taste, crispy fish fry, fresh sea food selection, friendly staff/owner, traditional Sadhya feeling, decent price for the taste.

To be improved: little more variety of sea food which again I understand is hardly possible easily as palakad is not near the sea but still wished if they have more varieties to try.

It's too costly, one single kari fish price is Rs. 550. Vanjaram fish charging single fish 950 rupees. He won't put the price list. Rice & fish gravy is an additional cost. He is fixing the rate instantly based on local person or outsider. Worst experience. It's not worthy.

Your richness can be shown to the owner by making a huge bill. You wil get a nice serving care from him in return
oh god! Its too expensive for a middle class family If u are born with silver spoon in your mouth or u have lot of income with u, you can go here. At least u need to keep 500 for a meal with a fish variety. Even one single meal with no fish cost 90.

I never ever recommend this hotel.sambar and fishcurry was so nice i would say. The pickle too.
But alone the meals they r asking 90.i think it s just 60-70

We ordered Konju, Kallumekayya and Varal fry. Konju was really good and other two was ok type. Price was really high and for two lunch and above 3 fish items cost was around 1700 which I felt bit pricy. If the price is around 1300-1400 I would have given a better rating. I would suggest all to visit though as they have a lot of fish varieties which is good.

Food is good, fishes are very fresh with hygiene, Riyas (owner) is very friendly nature with polite service, we enjoyed food (tasty) with friends only thing…. Price is over rated equal to five star hotel rate especially prawn price is 1300 I taught very expensive.

Good food, and actually its not expensive, piece of fish will be very big in size can be taken by atleast 3 members. You can ask the size and rate of fish before ordering.then no problem, 2 people can eat nicely within ₹ 700 with king fish 1 piece

The meals is not that costly, but fish dishes are costly, why because, I guess they are prepared freshly.if you are a fish lover and you are in palakad / coimbatore, I wish you could try it once.

It's pricy for its ambience, but you can compensate it for the variety it offers.

It's just an average hotel. Heart patients please stay away from this, the final bill will take you to the heaven. Each dish costs Rs300-500+ compared to others.

ദയവായി ആരും പോകരുത്. ബില്ല് വരുമ്പോ തലകറങ്ങും. Food ഒക്കെ ആവറേജ് ആണ്. ഒരു വരാൽ 900rs ചെമ്മീൻ 250g 250rs കക്ക ഇറച്ചി same. വലിയ രുചി പറയാൻ ഇല്ല. Over spicy ആണ്. ഈ cash ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ നല്ല മീൻ വാങ്ങി വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കുടുംബത്തോടെ കഴിക്കാം. ഒരു a/c restaurent പോലും ഇത്ര cash ഇല്ല.

Very very expensive, toooooo spicy, fresh fish to be honest but due to over spiceness we can't even know the taste of the fish. Fish fry was over done.just like a piece of coal.too spicy our heart was burning for more than a day. Don't even think about buying crab from them. 900rs for a very small plate. Same prawns, mussels and fish are too too expensive. Not even a proper tasty side Curry's and they charge 80 rs for meals.both the fish curries were too spicy and tasteless watery. Ask about the price beforehand else you will end up in disaster.

This place has gone from hero to zero.this time 10 of us visited and ordered all kinds of seafood they had in the menu. The seafood served was fresh but preparation was very pathetic. Only what we could taste was chilly chilly and chilly. None of us could taste the real flavour of fish as our tounges were burnt? Very high rates for fishes and the shop keeper never give an idea of the portion and price of fish. We will get surprised with the quantity. Also fries are either over cooked or under cooked.

This is my second visit to this hotel and I can say that, I will visit again. The mouth watering taste of each and every dish is beyond description. This time due to corona I opted for take away, he said if you don't like the taste don't come here, that shows his confidence. He offered a glass of buttermilk while I was waiting, it was one of the best buttermilk I ever had! I can recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a good lunch. Enjoy your meal!

Exclusive seafood restaurant. It is not posh. But all the fish they serve is very very fresh. And they have a large variety of seafood, including mussels, clams, crabs, shrimp and fish roe.
The cons are, all fish fried are with the same masala and the fried fish is invariably overdone for my taste.
Service is good, but a long queue at times for a table.
They have maintained quality over the past 5 years.
Priced above average, but worth it.

One of worst experience I have ever had. Utter waste of money. No sense of taste. I ordered for karimeen which was not even 100g but was charged 500 for it and then comes the meal with only fish curry with small tail on it for which I was charged 400. Worst part was the meal, served without Sambar/moor curry. I generally don’t review for restaurants even if it’s bad but I couldn’t resist myself on this as he charged me almost 1000 where in food was not worth for even 300. I still wonder how people are giving 5 star

Hotel Riyas is a small hotel in Palakkad which serves lunch with seafoods. They have many varieties of seafood, prawns, kakka, kallummakai, karimeen, bral, koonthal, crab, meen mutta etc. They serve lunch in banana leaves and seafood is super delicious.

Price is too High, I had rice and they gave me fish curry which had a piece of fish also, but finally they charged Rs. 250/- for the fish curry and Rs. 70/- for rice, total it was Rs. 320/-. I didn't even ask for the fish curry.and taste also not like before. So not worth it. Better choose some other hotel.

It's a small place but has excellent koonthal (squid). Two types of fish curries are available too but i found the apparently spicy one itself wasnt spicy enough. The meals has hardly any other dish except the fish. But it's a must visit M place for their seafood

First time in Riyas hotel in palakkad.many friends in Coimbatore suggested to go for a lunch to this place which is specialised in seafood.

It’s a typical mess setup with only seafood lunch.it serves all types of fish, crab, prawn both river and sea.

Limited menu but the quantity and quality of food is awesome.price is extremely low for this kind of service and taste.

Famous seafood hotel from several years.but notorious for the pricing. They charge the exorbitant price for even small pieces of Fish items. Usually people visit this hotel after reading internet comments. But the totally dissatisfied after saw the bill. So be careful while having food in this hotel other things it's good seafood hotel in this areas.now just a few hundred meters towards town near murikkavu bus stop one CHEMMEENZE hotel start function. Great place for fish. The spicy fish curry is one of the best things there. The Koondhal (squid) is to die for. Will definitely be back for the food.

The food was average. Not hygiene. I am facing allergy in sea food item so we had local fish item only. But unfortunately after one hour feel some symptoms of allergy. Sea food allergy is not a simple thing. It may cause for death also. I was suffuring nuesea, head ache and small chest pain. I went to hospital soon. The doctor told it is because of some allergies and I took medicine and observed for 2-3 hrs. Now am ok. Normally there will not be any allergies in local fish. We think they may be using same oil for all kind of fishes. I request to the owner that kindly use different olis for different fish items. The charge for food is expensive.

5/5 for the uniqueness of the shop. Most of the fishes served here are fresh water fishes and they are shown before you, then being cooked. Riyaz bhai acts like he knows nothing and try to mock around, but the truth is, there is no businessman like him. Quite the place for many of our friends to visit occasionally from Coimbatore, take a drive, just to have fishes at this amazing place! Cost is not standard, he charges different for each person. He charges us hefty, but heck, its for some damn good fishes!:)
