I visited around 8am in the morning. Only iddli and upma was available. Items are less when compared to other Indian coffee house. Taste also was not as par compared to other Indian coffee houses. People who come from other parts of Kerala especially Malabar area may not like the taste of food served here. Place is kept Hygienic and it is Near to the railway station They serve boil water along with food, no gimmiks of bottled water. Walkable distance to old bus stand in Kanhangad. Food items are priced reasonable. Quantity is apt.
Indian coffee house is an emotion. Anywhere in Kerala. First I look for an Indian coffee house shop. Here it is situated on hidden place in between railway station and main road. They fix a name board on main road most of them doesn't seen it properly. The food was delicious as always, with an economic rate and atmosphere is also good. Yeah parking place is available. The shop was on the first floor of a building. Lot of seats are available so worry about queue or hurry. Anyway I'm a follower of Indian coffee house because of their descent service and economic rate rather than delicious food.
Nearby Kanhangad railway station. Went there with my family and we tried Veg meals with payasam, Chicken biriyani, poori masala in which everything was delicious except poori masala. The service was average. For lunch you have to take token and its not required for breakfast.
A good hotel to have your meal. Not so free to hang out with friends as it's normally very crowded. But gives us quality food for the money we pay. And we'll known all around Kerala.
Good place to have fresh hot and simple breakfast. The place is neat and clean. Best suited for travellers. Situated really in between the Railway Train Station and the Bus Stand of Kanhangad. Ample of space for car parking behind the complex. The waiters there wear the signature Indian Coffee House attire and are courteous and help you in ordering according to your personal tastes and preferences.
My reasons to be here is Cleanliness, taste, near railway station, nostalgia, good atmostphere and staff.didnt get my usual egg sandwich.but my veg cutlets with salad and spl sauce covered it.
Very nice moderate restaurant. The meals are upto expectation. For meals you have to take a chit from cashier at noon. Inside is very tidy. Good for family also.
No words to explain. During college days we used to go here. Last month I went there after almost 5 years. It was such a good experience of having our special masala dosa from Indian coffee house. Hats off to akg. The staff are really polite. A lot of family come here to have food
Reached with a bit of difficulty as it's at the end of a shopping corner, but was not at all worth, the dosa we ordered were not of Indian coffee house standard.
