Indian Coffee House

Happened to buy 03 Chicken Biriyani parcel today, the 13 October 23. To my dismay, in the packet I found Vegetable biriyani mixed with pieces picked from Chicken curry. It is cheating.

Used to be the best, but not that good at this point, mostly frozen foods like cutlets fried, even thats fine i its done propery, like a bite of hotness follwoed by chilled part

We ordered poratta, vegetable kuruma, and egg curry. The poratta was decent, the vegetable kuruma was quite good, but the egg curry left something to be desired. In summary, we had an overall average dining experience.

Overall service is good. Ordered Chicken Fry, Chilly chicken and Porotta. The porotta wasn't good enough. The chilly chicken is not exactly the same we receive in usual restaurants. The chicken fry was good.

Indian Coffee Houses were very homely in 70s and 80s. Now the quality has gradually declined. Masala dosa from ICH was my all time favourite. Last time I had a bad experience here. The oil over the dosa was burnt and smelling bad. The stewards are intimidating. If only they had kept their standards.

Most of the time, I've been there for Masala Dosa. It has a good quality as it is in most coffee houses. Some time of the day, the breads like Porotta may be served after heating the ones already cooked at a different time of the day. Meals are average. Poori masala is also good.

Parking is almost easy during non-peak hours as it has a dedicated parking space in the compound. During peak hours, it may get a little contested.

EDIT: 29-SEP-2023: The dedicated parking space is not available as of 29-SEP-2023. During peak times, it's now diffcult to get the car parked nearby as it's aside MC road and near Kottarakkara town.

Great place for breakfast, tea, coffee and some dishes like bombay toast etc.

Cleanliness is above average and satisfactory. The staff are well behaved. Overall, this is the best place near Karyavattom to get hunger done without hitting hard on the wallet or stomach.

Nice Hotel with a good atmosphere. I'm sure that, definitely a spot for those who are seeking for tasty food. The'Uzhunnuvada', is just awesome.
Nb: - Parking Area is available in front of the hotel.

As usual ICH did not disappoint. Had chicken biryani which was pretty good. Coffee was too sugary in spite of asking for one medium sugar.

Most overrated restaurant in town.its always crowded with MC road travelers thinking that this is the last food point in their journey

Quality and Hygiene- average, Overall kerala highway restaurants does not keep the hygiene standards.it will be like table ok.washroom stink, food kept on top of plates etc (Now not applicable due to present covid restrictions)

Ambience- Horrible with main hall without AC and the people attitude of eat as much in 1 minute and run away
Washrooms - Below average

Good food, parking area was less, Delicious food items they are making.we can enjoy with our family

It's a convenient and well frequented restaurant on the highway at Kottarakkara. Fast service, basic washroom facilities, efficient waiters and cleaning staff are as good as it gets at any ICH outlets. If you are an ambience seeker, it's not for you. But for the quick trustworthy eat by the side of the NH while on a trip, it adds great value. Try the cutlet and coffee, it's good!

Just like a normal Indian Coffee House.but the attitude of supplier was arrogant.he was running away from our table, all the time before we finish order something.

The worst indian coffee house ever i have been. Its run because of the name associated.tasteless food

Good food and hygienic. Limited parking space, however, easily accessible. The staffs are good and the main attraction is coffee made from own coffee beans,

Average place. The chilli chicken and porotta were quite good. The chicken biriyani I ordered seemed like a fried rice and it tasted bland too. Rose milk was too sweet for my palate.

Was gud. The food was tasty and hot. I visited at the evening time and i was just shocked by seeing the crowd. Seats were not available. I need to wait for minutes to have a seat. Service was good.

The beef fry was heavily burnt. Adding to the plight, chicken fry was stale. The Omelette lacked the flavours as well. Totally the food was pathetic.

Coffee house has been a classic hangout spot and this one is ko different. Standard rates, same good quality food and quick service.

They must really do something regarding the Chinese dishes served here. Coffee and Tea are super cool stuffs to try. Also the Rosemilk is good.

All the veg dishes have Beetroot in it and I love that part.: D the people who serve have some kind of ranking which is visible from their costumes. But unfortunately the highest ranking people really have some grudge to the customers (from various personal experiences)

Ideal place for early morning visitors to the ganapathy temple! Really great food! The morning crowd speaks for the fame of hotel!

Its a good place for quick eats. Compared to other outkets this particular outlet is clean. Food taste is average and can't say its reasonably priced. Price's are similar to any other restaurants only. Located in Kottarakara close to Marthoma centre and theological seminary.

It's a classic restaurant. Great for its tea, coffee, and snacks. Breakfast and lunch is available, but no Kerala rice

It is easy to notice from a vehicle in normal traffic. The overall conditions are good and have proper hygene. Food quality is also good and have nice service. Price for some items are more, compaired to other restaurents. Keralian dishes are available at good quality and at fare rates.

Like all ichs its pretty much same. All the standard dishes overpowered with beetroot and the excellent service. Spacious and accessible from MC road.parking space is limited but can park by lanes nearby.
One drawback is the heat inside even when its raining outside.

Coffe house is located near kottarakara junction on the way to Trivandrum. It's always busy here. Nothing special to talk about. They maintain coffee house quality that we expect and trust. Good value for budget option. We had 6 parotta two egg curryone Dosha and two cups of tea. The bill was 150rs and it was good. So I would suggest it if you are travelling in MC road.

Good food at an affordable price. You will not be disappointed by the quality. However, don't expect much ambience or luxury. It is rather spartan

Very busy shop. Much busy on sundays due to a pentecostal church nearby. Very good service. Neat and clean. Very popular among the people who are living in kollam. I visited it last day and ordered a poratta and beef roast. It was very tasty. It is located on roadside. Near chick inns. The one and only problem is that they only accept cash that is no card swiping availability here.

Good food at affordable price. Hygiene is also okay. The restaurant is located within Kottarakkara town area on SH-1. The only thing negative about this place is that there is not enough parking space. This creates difficulty for the customers, especially during peak hours.

Parking on roadside is a bit less but manageable. Food was not very tasty. Quick service in and out in 15 minutes. Toilets not clean

One of the many Indian Coffee Houses (ICH) in the state. It's mostly always crowded due to it's prime location at a very widely used public roadway. Parking spaces are always a pain to find here but is a quality food place for travellers along this route. The famous Indian Coffee House coffee is a must try for new comers.
